Duncan Oliphant’s father has insisted he–and all of his brothers–marry and start producing grandsons…like, yesterday. And Dunc is having none of it. All he wants in life is a small cottage behind his forge, and enough gold and silver to craft delicate, valuable jewelry.
But he is the laird’s son, albeit illegitimate, and has a duty to do. One he’s happy to postpone as he takes one more … more commission which has him traveling across the Highlands, gold in hand.
Which is, of course, the most awkward time to be attacked by Highwayman.
Even worse if it’s not a man at all, but a Highwaywoman…a gorgeous, feisty one he accidentally kissed a fortnight ago at his brother’s wedding.
What is Skye Duncan doing robbing unsuspecting travelers? The only way to discover the truth–and get back his gold–is to kidnap the highwaywoman and offer a trade. Aye, this will go swimmingly.
…until it doesn’t.
Because Skye clearly isn’t some meek, delicate lady. And despite their rocky beginning, she can’t ignore the way Duncan’s kisses made her feel, or how his offered solution might just be what she needs to hang up her sword for good.
Can a goldsmith with simple wants make peace with a determined Highwaywoman, for the sake of their clans’ futures? Or is the gulf between them–and their history–too much?
And whatever did happen to all that gold?
Pick up the second book in the riotously funny The Hots for Scots series, and get ready for a rollicking good time!

This Story was Absolutely Wonderful.
It keeps you on your toes wondering what will happen next.
Great characters.
Duncan & Skye meet again in an unusual way. Skype has several men helping her, or possibly irritating her. A giant who misinterpret a Frenchman’s words, an uncle & nephew who are constantly bickering.
An Absolutely page turner..
I’ve read this series a little out of order but the only real difference it makes is me wanting to read them all. This story is a little more romantic and lighter in the humor but a fun, romantic story I couldn’t put down.
I’m so thankful for this series, because it’s just what the world needs right now! Sassy, sexy, hilarious, and a complete comedy of errors makes for some steamy, lighthearted reading. Duncan finds himself on his way traveling home and finds himself waylaid by a band of merry men (and one fiery woman). It turns out their ringleader is the very woman he can’t get off his mind. Capturing the lass to get his gold back puts Dunc and Skye in close enough proximity to let the sparks fly. I loved Pierre and translating his commentary (thank you Kindle translation and Mrs. Miller, my high school French teacher, but she didn’t teach us all the naughty words!), all of the merry men, and the emotional and physical connection full of fun & spicy moments. I loved everything about it!
Laugh out loud dialogue, ugly cry heart break and fan yourself passion…need I say more?
What do you get when three sets of twin boys are born all in the same year and must marry within a year? One Outstanding Comedy as each journey to find that special someone. Scot on her Trail will hold you captivated in this hilarious madcap romp as Duncan finds his feisty soon to be bride the leader of a group of highwaymen. Skye is doing what she must do but will Duncan, a brawny highlander understand her reasons? Will Skye be able to choose between duty or her love for Duncan in this comedy with laughing out loud, adventure, kidnapping and sizzling passion. It’s well-written with well-developed characters, quick-witted banter between the characters and a story line that kept me interested right to the end and wanting more from Caroline Lee. I loved translating Pierre’s comments! Hopefully everyone will take the time to do this and love Beans translation of them! And then there is Fergus, he is such a sweetie with his desert language! Looking forward to reading Getting Scot and Bothered.
These books are fun and make you laugh out loud. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. Duncan and Skye had an interesting beginning. It all made for a captivating story. I’m looking forward to the next book.
A Robin Hoodesque tale. Except this Robin is a woman named Skye. When the next victim turns out to be Duncan the brother of her brother-in-law, and the man she happened to kiss quite vigorously, she is in for a fight. A fight of the heart. A funny, adventurous story that will make you laugh and your heart swoon. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
