I pretended to be the girlfriend of one of the richest men in New York City. It was only meant to be the one time. I mean, it was the week before Christmas, I was shopping with my best friend and we were hungry and wanted to dine at the new swanky restaurant on the Upper West Side. For some reason the hostess misheard me when I mentioned Max Parker’s name. I’d been complaining that he was the … was the reason why I’d lost my job. Who was I to correct her when it meant that “my relationship” had caused a table to suddenly open up?
And then the next week I accidentally let it slip that Max Parker was my boyfriend to get into an exclusive club. And then there was the time when I saw that Chanel handbag and Prada shoes. I mean, it didn’t really hurt anyone, did it? It was just a little white lie.
How was I to know that my fake boyfriend would find out that I’d been using his name? Now he’s blackmailing me into playing his fake fiancé (Fiancée) in an arrangement that could only be classified as risqué. Turns out if I want to keep my apartment and not move home with my parents, I’m going to have to play along with his game. Only he’s going to have to go along with my rules as well and while he smirks at that idea he doesn’t know that I’ve got a plan of my own.

I loved this story and had lots of fun reading the book. Charlotte “accidentally” mentioned billionaire Max Parker’s name as her boyfriend and all sorts of good things happened. She decided to do this again but eventually got caught in her lie by Max himself! He then blackmails her into pretending to be his fiancé. Will their playful bantering lead to love?
This story was great and I laughed at many parts and was definitely hoping for a HEA. The characters were all very well written and very likable.
enjoyed start to end great characters
Loved the witty banter and the hot romance and of course the HEA
book was enjoyable. Laughed throughout. Love the exchange between the two characters. Book is more for the young at heart, but still enjoyable
Loved this book!!! I got book 2 in the series, hoping it’s as good!
flakey characters, out there sex(not in a good way), bad dialogue
Loved it, it made me laugh.
Audacity, laughter and manipulation
4.5
Very good hot story, which has a lot of humor in situations full of misunderstandings, lies, and manipulations. The manipulations are rather nice, with good intentions, but they remain an important point.
The characters are important, full of verve, daring, humor, tenderness
Charlotte believes she is taking advantage of a situation which she accidentally results from: being mistaken for the fiancée of a billionaire, Max Parker. However, she does not know him but she hates him for having bought the company in which she worked, then for having fired everyone. Believing she is engaged, she is chased by a journalist who attracts her, but of whom she does not tolerate the recklessness, because he seeks to have information on her supposed “fiancé”, or at least that is what she believes. .
The more Charlotte tries to get out of her lie the more she sinks in until Max Parker contacts her.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
What a tear jerker of a read! This hate/love romance read was entertaining from start to finish. Then we get to the chemistry between Charlotte and Max, it was fun, delightful, steamy and add in the twists that just made it emotional to the max. I was cheering for their HEA and with the unexpected that will give your heart the feels, this new release made for a wonderful story that doesn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to read the last book in this fabulous series.
This was a great romance. Charlotte and Max were so cute together and their chemistry was explosive. The story has lots of surprises and some twists. She lost her job when he purchased the company she worked for and she was furious with him. A little white lie brought them together and she ended up being his fake fiance. Charlotte was hysterical at times and her antics kept me smiling. It was so easy to read this book in one sitting and it was hard to put down once I started. Their back and forth banter was amusing and their emails, steamy. There was a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. A great book that was well written with strong, well-developed and likable characters. I was fortunate to have an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
Charlotte is a young professional just starting out in the world of graphic design. Working for a company that has been bought out and then fired has her world spinning out of control. Wondering how she will pay her rent and continue to live on her own she turns to her friends and shopping for support. As Charlotte complains about Max Parker and how his company has destroyed her life, Charlotte is misheard and realizes that spinning a simple white lie has people bending over backward to help her because they think that Charlotte is Max’s girlfriend. Things spin out of control when Max Parker confronts Charlotte about the lies but instead of asking her to simply stop, he asks her to become his fake fiance. Charlotte agrees but with a contract and a list of do’s and dont’s.
Teasing, heat, sexual chemistry make this a must-read!
J.S. Cooper has written another page-turning, fun, smile-worthy book!
Charlotte gets let go from work after the company was bought out by Parker. While venting to get friends waiting for a table, she’s overheard by the hostess talking about billionaire Max Parker. She quickly realizes using Max Parker’s name can come with some benefits. But all to soon little white lies come to light and what’s a girl to do when a hot sexy billionaire is asking you to be his fake fiance. Together these two make a hot “fake” couple that I would love to read so much more about.
I received this book for an honest review.
“The Billionaire’s Fake Fiance” (The Alpha Boyfriends Book 1) by J. S. Cooper is a great story. I loved Max and Charlotte’s story. This is a great start to this series. This story has romance, passion, humor, close friends, billionaires, entertaining characters, and more. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, billionaires, and series.
This was a delightful read. I almost felt sorry for Charlotte as she began her revenge lies…almost. The burst of chemistry between and the mystery man was fun to watch.
The story of their connection made me smile and a little misty. Max is not as he seemed and a perfect fit for Charlotte.
While it was a quick read, it was thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to the next two stories.
