A small town is the perfect place to hide out for me and my little girl.
Until the beautiful girl next door reminds me of what I’m missing in life.
Love. Lust. Passion.
All of the above. And somehow, she brings all three and much more out of me.
But I don’t have the pleasure of indulging in the softer side of life.
I’ve seen some things in the past and they’re creeping up to get me.
My only … they’re creeping up to get me.
My only job is to protect my little one and try to make life as normal as possible.
Being born a fighter that won’t back down is my only redeeming quality.
If I could take back what I saw that has us running and hiding, I would.
All I ever wanted was a family to love and protect.
And I got my wish on the protecting part.
Against my own rules, I let this beautiful, curvy woman in, and before I can really enjoy her warmth, she’s gone.
Taken by the guys who want my life.
Good luck to them because I’m going after what’s mine.
Her.
Every good girl deserves a bad boy. ~ Weston

well-written with a fast-paced intriguing storyline, the characters are wonderfully likable and charismatic. Kept me entertained I volunteered to read this arc for my honest opinion
I burned through the pages of this one! It’s full of drama, twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. The chemistry between neighbors Colton and Jenna just made the book un-put-downable! I received this book at no cost in exchange for an honest review.
Colton and Jenna are next door neighbors. Colton and his daughter Abby are on the run from Colton’s past. Their relationship is not without struggle, but boy it is beautifully developed! I loved how these two had to get over their pasts to focus on their future. Colton’s protective nature was evident throughout the story and grew from taking care of Abby to allowing Jenna in their cirlce. GREAT Story! I received an advanced readers copy of this book and highly recommend it.
Wonderfully fantastic… The book was amazing… It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it… The characters and their personalities match them perfectly… The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing…
Another great read by Weston Parker who once again delivers a winner! He brings strong, well developed characters in Colton and Jenna along with a cast of supporting characters, including his four year old daughter Abby. It’s an action packed story filled with drama and danger as well as violence, anxiety and fear. He had me glued to the pages with the mystery and intrigue as well as the smokin hot chemistry. He brings the story to life with his descriptive writing and paints his scenes in vivid detail. I was captured and held from start to finish. The story moves fluidly and is a must read. I loved and highly recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This book is so exciting and hot. The characters are hot. Colton moved with his young daughter to a small town far away from where he is from. Jenna just happens to be his neighbour. She can’t believe her eyes when she sees him. She decides to bake cookies and drop them off to welcome them to the neighbourhood. Colton can’t believe his luck having Jenna as his neighbour. Colton has secrets and if he wants to get involved with her she needs to know his secrets.
This book hooked me from the get go I just couldn’t put it down I fell in love with these characters and omg what a story just a perfect

Wow. Totally blown away by this book. Awesome characters and storyline. Lots of fun drama. Great chemistry between the characters. Kept my interest throughout. A must read!!
Colton meets Jenna when he and his young daughter, Abby move from Massachusetts to Nebraska. Colton now in retirement from his MMA career is looking for a safe place to live after inadvertently going to work for the wrong man.
Jenna, a native of Beatrice, Nebraska and Colton new next door neighbor is waitressing at at the local diner while wondering what her life would have been like if she had made different choices.
Colton fights the attraction at first, feeling disloyal to his deceased wife. Jenna’s keeping things casual and friendly trying to mask her true feelings.
When the town’s spoiled rich young men harass Jenna one time too many, Colton takes action bringing him closer to Jenna.
Denial, a group of coddled young locals, a lot of misunderstandings and a ruthless gangster all make this a rollercoaster ride.
I enjoyed this story. As mentioned, it took me through a range of emotions. I enjoyed the Kevin, Colton’s best friend and would love to read his story.
I would have liked for Abby to be a bit better adjusted, but it is what it is.
Overall, a good one that I can recommend.
A winning combination of romance and intrigue
Jenna, a waitress, is curious about her new next door neighbor Colton, a retired MMA fighter. As the story progresses harassment from multiple people occurs, white knight syndrome strikes, and learning the truth could send them further into danger’s arms. Weston Parker’s Going After What’s Mine is a winning combination of romance and intrigue.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Loved it way better then 5 stars
I was immediately captivated by this story. The twisty, suspenseful plot tying this pair together pulled me in and held my attention from the beginning to the end. I love how Weston Parker is always able to write a bad-boy hero who’s also capable of being a good man. Colton and Jenna have chemistry that’s off the charts, and Abby is beyond adorable. I was driven slightly batty by Jenna’s attitude on several occasions, but I do think it was true to her character. I would love to read more about their best friends.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
GOING AFTER WHAT’S MINE By Weston Parker
This is the story of Colton, a single father to a 4 year old daughter named Abby and his neighbor Jenna. They meet when Colton moves his daughter to the quiet small town of Beatrice Nebraska. He is looking for a place where he can start over and be away from the mob boss that is hunting him. Things are great until they heat up. There is also drama with some guys Jenna went to school with enjoy nothing more than belittling her. This is a well written story with great characters. Colton and Jenna have lots of chemistry, angst, danger and drama. This is a 5 star story.
Another fantastic book by Weston Parker! The great storyline kept me glued to my kindle from the very first page and the well defined characters, Jenna and Colton, jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it was developing!
Colton and Abby will have you addicted to this story. Colton finds himself moving abruptly after finding himself in trouble. His concern was staying alive and taking care of his daughter. Abby is the beauty who lives next door and he is captivated by her from the first look. As these two get to know each other, Colton finds himself in protective mode when bullies Abby went to school with keep bothering her and refuses to stop and if that isn’t enough, the danger that Colton ran from has caught up to him. Will he be able to keep Abby and his daughter out of harm’s way while he clears up the mess his life has become? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
