Once again I’ve started a series at the end instead of the beginning, but I wasn’t disappointed in the least. I am going to go back and read the rest of the books in this series because I am now very intrigued as to how all these folks finally got together.
This book opens in the past on the day Gabe’s mother dies. He makes promises to her then even as she drops major surprises on him. She also gives him a ring to give his soul mate. Now the circumstances that follow that day have Gabe causing his soul mate Willow great pain, but there is a valid reason. Part of which is General Mallard who is also Gabe’s father.
Willow agrees to meet with Gabe to talk, he in turn sort of traps her so things can be explained. That doesn’t start out well, but eventually things start to come together for Willow. Betrayal is in the wind as Willow helps Gabe connect with his brother, they are going to have to escape and it’s not going to be easy.
As Gabe works on rebuilding the lost trust with Willow they also realize they are missing a major piece they will need to win the coming battle.
As they all converge at a cabin in Lake George, some things start to come together as their visions merge and they see two possible futures or is it really only one…
Fast-paced with interesting powers, a unexpected ally, lots of surprises and some sizzling heat.
I wish I had started this series from the beginning, but I loved this outcome. I’m going back to read the others now.
When Gabe learns who his father and biological mother are, the mother who has raised him passes away. He had begged Alexis Raven to save her, but his mother’s illness was too great. Now he has to find a way to save the Collective Order with the unwilling assistance of Willow Raven. Her powers are great, but will it be enough combined with Gabe’s to stop the Elite Brotherhood from taking over? Willow fears that trusting him is the wrong thing to do as he has lied to her so many times. Although she has loved him for years, how can she trust him now? Follow along with Gabe, Willow, his brothers and her sisters in this final installment of the Collective Order. Who will succeed as they play a deadly game where the winner takes all? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
Since Gabe was 18 years old he has known that he’s one of the quads and he’d be part of the Collective Order. He also knew that Willow was his soul mate. Willow and her sisters may have known for a while they were also part of the Collective Order but when she figures out Gabe is the fourth in the quad she doesn’t want to consider it after they way he betrayed her. She doesn’t know he’s only doing it to protect her and everyone else. But will Willow forgive him when she finds that out? Will all 8 of them be able to come together and be what they are destined to be? Another great story full of the suspense, action, adventure, emotion and surprises that we’ve gotten used to from this series.
Even though I don’t usually read this type of story, I had no trouble enjoying it. Upon Gabe’s adoptive mother’s death, he knew who he was, his parents, and what he had to do no matter what he had to sacrifice. He loved Willow but she felt betrayed by him and thought he had betrayed his country as well. Believing he used his powers for evil, when she learns the truth, will she believe him and will she forgive him? All the brothers and sisters needed to work together to save the future of a new order.
This is book 4 in the Raven Sisters series and it absolutely has to be read in order or you will be confused as to what is going on. We finally get Gabe and Willow’s story!! We start off with Gabe wanting Willow to meet up with him to talk. He knows who his parents are and that he is one of the lost brothers. Now he needs for Willow to understand his actions and choices for the last few years. And for them to come up with a plan in order to make the future they all want a reality. But he also hopes that once Willow realizes why he did what he did, that she will forgive him and still love him. Willow doesn’t know how to trust Gabe again. She knows she needs him in order to make what she has seen come true, but she also doesn’t know if she can trust him with not only her family but her heart.
I absolutely loved this one! Gabe is just the man that I had hoped he was! He is protective and willing to give up everything in order to make sure the people he cares about are happy and healthy. Regardless of how much he may lose because of it. Willow has always been this strong and caring woman, but I was glad to see that she has the capacity for forgiveness that she does. And that she could set aside her own hurt in order to forge a new path. It had that steaminess in it that I still love along with the paranormal aspect and suspense that just sucks you right in. My only drawback-it kinda felt like it was left slightly on a cliffhanger. Yes, it left it open so that there could be more books. But I almost felt like it was incomplete in a way. I don’t know how else to describe it. Otherwise, I loved it and couldn’t put it down!
A wonderfully written story by Jen Talty. The Lost Connection is book four in the series. Not my favorite by still very good. A must read.
As the fourth book in the Collective Order, The Lost Connection brings the Raven sisters and their destined mates full circle to fulfill the prophecy. What looks real is not always as it seems ~ there are so many layers that are revealed along with several surprising twists and turns as these eight people work to put their visions and all the other pieces of the puzzle together to save those they love as well as their futures. With the Elite Brotherhood hot on their heels wanting their powers, they have their work cut out for them to stay one step ahead and fulfill their destinies. With the help of an unexpected ally they might stand a chance. This story is packed with action, steady suspense, sexual tension, emotional turmoil, secrets, smokin’ chemistry, some interesting turn of events, and surprises.
*This is a series best read in order to follow the characters, their abilities and backgrounds, and how they fit together in the four book story arc.
*I received an arc from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
A high-stakes story with magic and redemption. This series is best when read from the beginning.
I do recommend reading the series in order so it makes more sense. I jumped in at book 4 so I had to piece the characters together. Jen did give some background of each person and the difficulties each faced so that was very helpful.
It is up to Gabe and Willow with the help of their brothers and sisters (yes they are each an official couple except Gabe and Willow at the beginning of the book) to fulfill their destiny and restore the paranormal world and rescue the souls of their future children or face the destruction of the Collective Order and the future New Order comprised of their children.
Even though I jumped in at the last book, I found it a quite interesting story that drew me in immediately. It was difficult to put the book down at night. I look forward to reading the first three in the series even though I know how it was eventually end.
The Lost Connection
A Collective Order Novella
Book 4 Raven Sisters Series
Jen Talty
When you play the part of a bad guy so well, it is hard to prove you are really the good guy trying to protect your soulmate and family from the true evil beings.
Gabe works really hard to convince Willow and his brothers and her sisters. Story grabs you into the paranormal world and keeps you to the end. Willow and Gabe need a happy ever after.
A great read with a combination of paranormal, suspense, and romance.
It has been a while since where visited with the Raven Sisters but the moment I started reading this latest offering I remember why I loved it so much These are fast paced supernatural reads that draw you in and keep you engage while it can be read as a stand alone it is far better if you have read them in order in fact I am going to re read them all
Gabe has known for a while that he is the missing member of the quad the four men who will be the partners of the Raven sisters and who will defeat the Elite Brotherhood What he didn’t know was who is birth parents where and that secret is revealed on the death of the woman who raised him. Willow Raven has also realised just who Gabe is and she isn’t happy after all he has betrayed her before and now he appears to be siding with the Elite Brotherhood what he can’t tell her is that it is all part of a plan one he has formed top bring them down and allow the Collective to live in peace. Will it work can they all have a future You will have to read to see
It may have been a while since I last read anything in this series, but coming back to it now felt like coming home. I have been (im)patiently waiting to see what it would take to put Willow and Gabe back together and how this would all turn out. I never realized that I would also get a sneak peek at what’s coming in all their futures too. Though, I suppose with all the precognitive abilities among them it really shouldn’t have been a surprise. I had so much fun with this book and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Gabe is the missing brother of the quad and has been in love with Willow since she was young. There’s seven years between them so he had to wait for her to grow up. Willow and her sister’s are part of the Collective order and all of her sisters have found their mates with the quad brothers. Gabe has betrayed her and the brother’s or so they think. Was he betraying them or was he protecting them? Will they forgive Gabe so they can come together and save the collective order and have a future? Will they be able to stop the Elite brotherhood who seek to destroy them? This is a great finish to the series. You should really read the first three to understand what’s going on and to know the characters. This is an interesting read that will keep you reading till you finish the four books.
