There is a time to fear, and that time is now… the rest of the world.
So, Maeve is forced into a new mission to save the home she’s grown to love so much. Enlisting her friends and what’s left of her family, Maeve develops a plan to dethrone the immortal tyrants.
It won’t be easy. And it will be a miracle if everyone survives.
However, the choice is clear—no risk is too great to save the ones she loves, even at the cost of throwing herself in the face of mortal danger.
Maeve stands with family and friends to fight the most dangerous enemy the Academy has ever faced in the gut-wrenching sixth book of the Spellcrest Academy series.

Maeve’s second year at Spellcrest is coming to an end. She is now facing plaque vampires that have taken control of everything. Her family and friends will suffer if she is caught helping the rebellion. An epic battle that leaves you wondering if anyone will survive.
I enjoyed the story. The characters are growing and getting a bit complex. Wonder what the next 2 years will bring to Maeve and her friends. It seems that trouble follows her everywhere and she might never know peace. Love the year end battles.
We have action, suspence and the story unfolds more. Maeve needs help the plague vampires are in control. Locked in with no way to commuicate, what can she do? Can she find away? What will the vampires do? Can she protect her friends? Will all be lost?

This series has been totally addictive and just gets better and better with each passing book! This sixth book is just awesome and a little darker then the rest but still oh so good! Carrying on from the previous book we dive straight into the action and do not stop! You get sucked into this world and I have enjoyed watching the characters grow and develop! I cannot recommend this series enough!
I dove into this book anxious to read how this series comes to a conclusion. I felt that this story reached a satisfying end. I enjoyed each of these characters as I watched them grow and mature. They each had an inner strength which kept them going in spite of the challenges they faced. I’m happy with those who paired off into couples in the end. All the action scenes were well done. I had no problem keeping up with what was going on. The evil ones were vanquished but not all leaving some bits and pieces for perhaps another story in the distant future, but nothing too serious. To Michael Pierce I say “Well done!”
This is the sixth book in the Spellcrest Academy series and is by far the darkest book in the series. As usual, it starts right after the previous book, Catacomb, ends with Devon sent to the Catacombs, where some vampires are still feeding on the late headmaster, leading to Maeve (and me!) wondering whether he is still alive. Meanwhile, Maeve is under the control of vampires Dawn and blonde Imogene. She is taken to the tower where she meets Elion Blackwater, chairman of the Vampire Order.
Elion decides to make Maeve his private blood fountain. In addition, by Elion threatening Maeve’s family and friends, Maeve is forced to work with Dawn and find all the other seam daggers at Spellcrest. Elion has put Spellcrest Academy under a “dome” that cuts Spellcrest off from the rest of the world. That also includes no access to cellphone towers, rendering cellphones useless. (Poor Razielle)
That sets up the various storylines in this epic book. The fast pace of the action in this book is amazing because there is no lag in the various storylines. It seems that everything is happening concurrently and I had to binge read the book because I couldn’t put it down. Surprisingly, I highly recommend this book.
I received an ARC of this e-book to read and write an honest review. And I have also already pre-ordered my copy of the final publication book. And I love the cover.
