It’s five days before Christmas and things are not looking merry for Fugitive Apprehension Agent Stephanie Plum. She hasn’t got a tree. She hasn’t bought any presents. The malls are jam-packed with staggering shoppers. There’s not a twinkle light anywhere to be seen in her apartment. And there’s a strange man in her kitchen. Sure, this has happened to Stephanie Plum before. Strangers, weirdos, … Strangers, weirdos, felons, creeps, and lunatics are always finding their way to her front door. But this guy is different. This guy is mysterious, sexy-and he has his own agenda. His name is Diesel and he is a man on a mission. And Diesel is unlike anyone Stephanie has ever met before in her life. The question is, what does he want with her? Can he help her find a little old toy maker who has skipped out on his bail right before Christmas? Can he survive the Plum family holiday dinner? Can he get Stephanie a tree that doesn’t look like it was grown next to a nuclear power plant? These questions and more are keeping Stephanie awake at night. Not to mention the fact that she needs to find a bunch of nasty elves, her sister Valerie has a Christmas “surprise” for the Plums, her niece Mary Alice doesn’t believe in Santa anymore, and Grandma Mazur has a new stud muffin. So bring out the plastic reindeer, strap on your jingle bells, and get ready to celebrate the holidays-Jersey style. In Janet Evanovich’s Visions of Sugar Plums, the world of Plum has never been merrier!

Stephanie Plum never disappoints!!
What can I say other than she is a fantastic author her books are great reading you get a laugh and the characters are brilliant..all her books are well worth reading
These are some fun offshoots of the Stephanie Plum Series that link in the supernatural characters from her ‘Wicked…” series. They’re a quick, fun read.
Janet Evanovich is a wickedly talented writer!
Love this book and always re-read it around Christmas.
Love any of Janet’s books!
I have fallen in love with Stephanie Plum & her cohorts. While the series is not great literature, the characters are hysterical, the plot lines hilarious, they “mysteries” curiously intriguing, the romantic twists intriguing & the family/friend dynamics always entertaining. I read this one several years ago-so I don’t recall the actual plot, but read the series if you want light mystery reading with a cast of nutty characters that just grow on you. It’s always hard to wait for the next book to come out. Terrific series! Read it & roar as you grow to love them. Keep them coming, Janet Evanovich, please!
A good holiday read
Stephanie Plum is Janet Evanovuch’s best creation, ever. If you want to laugh til you roll of the bed, and tears stream down your face. This author is for you.
The Stephanie Plum series books are always charming, sexy and laugh-out-loud funny and this entry is no exception.
I have read all of the Stephanie Plum series.
It is an easy, fast paced read. All the areas mentioned in the books are places I have visited. Characters will be imprinted in your mind quite easily; especially Joe and Ranger
A Plum hilarious Christmas story that is truly merry.
I read this years ago. I rated it on my own reading list as five stars.
I recommend anything Janet Evanovich writes on her own. I’m not so impressed with collaborations.
Not one of my favorites
Evanovich is so entertaining and sometimes laugh out loud funny!
Janet Evanovich creates the most entertaining characters. The narrator, Lorelei King, is fabulous! She is the absolute best at creating entertaining voices. You have no trouble differentiating between characters. Oh the trouble Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter, can into. Good thing she has out of this world Diesel for backup.
Nothing we haven’t read over and over again. Author needs to find something new to write about. I’ve grown tired of her books.
3+ out of 5 stars to Visions of Sugar Plums, the first cross-over book between Stephanie Plum and Diesel, written in 2002 by Janet Evanovich. As part of a marketing approach to launching a new series, this book places Stephanie in a most unusual place right around Christmastime. As she’s trying to get her life on track, a man materializes in her apartment. She can’t figure out how he got in and starts wondering if he’s a vision or a ghost. It’s Diesel… a very hot man… just what she needs, a third one in her life… and he desperately needs her help. Convinced she’s losing her mind, Stephanie tries to ignore him but ultimately realizes the only way to lose him, is to help him find the toy maker who has disappeared right before Christmas. Suddenly, she freaks out when she thinks he means Santa Claus! A very cute story, full of the normal charm in Evanovich’s books… it’s a good laugh. Don’t take it too seriously and enjoy these in between books for exactly what they are – humor, romance and a bit of mystery!
Well, it was interesting. That is honestly about the only thing I can say.
If you are looking for a book to listen too. The person whom read these books is great. She does the characters with different voices. My husband likes to listen to them too.
