Four brothers, one ranch.
Can they save it in time?
Colton Briscoe has a lot riding on his ranch’s Pumpkinfest. He gave up his cushy job at a law firm to help his brothers save the property they’ve always called home. When Mina Baxter, his childhood crush, shows up on her campaign tour, the festival immediately starts getting publicity.
As the underdog in the mayoral election, Mina knows she … Mina knows she has some work ahead of her. Her opponent constantly uses the fact that she’s single against her. When coupled with the fact that she returned home soon before announcing she was running, it’s become a problem.
After reuniting with her childhood crush, Colton, Mina and her campaign manager come up with a brilliant idea. Stage a fake wedding with Colton, convince everyone they’re married, and win the mayoral race in a couple of weeks. But neither she nor Colton are prepared to fight the growing attraction between them.
The Last Chance Ranch series is a sweet, clean contemporary western series filled with swoon-worthy heroes and a picturesque Montana setting.

I enjoyed these characters and their times together. The political element was very well done. It was an enjoyable fake relationship romance.

Colton needs the Cedar Tree Pumpkinfest to work out or his big risk of leaving his job is going to be the worst decision of his life, Mina needs to win the Mayoral election as it is her next step in her big political ambitions however her running mate is not going to make it easy and has already fired shots at her for being single. Colton and Mina come together so they can both succeed but old hidden feelings are slowly creeping out and the balance of make believe to real life lead to one great story with plenty of laughs, eye rolls, awkward moments, falling in love and working out what you really want in life might not be what you first thought!

This is a second chance romance/fake marriage for Mina and Colton. They will both benefit from their fake marriage as she is running for mayor and his family ranch could use the publicity. Enjoyed reading their sweet story and the characters are well developed and so real.
Colton left if job at the local law firm, trying to keep the family ranch afloat. They’re working hard to make Cedar Tree Pumpkinfest a success. Mina is back in town and running for mayor. She’s getting creamed in the polls – her incumbent opponent is making a big deal out of the fact that she’s not married, turning that into a “family values” issue. But if she gets married… Colton is on board with a fake marriage, partially because it’ll bring publicity to Pumpkinfest. But more important, he’s been in love with Mina since she first moved to town. I really enjoyed reading this second book in the series. These two have had the hots for each other for years, but neither has the nerve to say anything out loud. Everyone else sees the attraction between them, though. It’s a great story line as well, not just about the romance, but about the brothers figuring out how to run the ranch and make it profitable, with some terrific input from their women. I’m really looking forward to the next book.

Colton and Mina both had secret crushes on each other in high school. When she returns to Canyon Falls and runs for mayor, her campaign manager comes up with the brilliant idea of her having a fake marriage with Colton. The current mayor is always harping on her being single, so Robby thinks this will be the perfect solution. Colton thinks the publicity will help get Cedar Tree Ranch’s Pumpkin Fest noticed and bring much needed revenue to his family. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say I love the Briscoe brothers and I can’t wait to read more from this series.
