Thank you to Hallmark Publishing and the Author Teri Wilson for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
What a wonderful and enchanting read.
I love Hallmark Christmas stories and this one was magical!
It had all the feel goods of the Christmas holiday season, Love, Romance and Family.
I’d give it an extra star if I could for the Author naming the children Sophie and Olivia which is the same names of the children in one of my favorite Movies; “The Holiday”
A quick and most enjoyable read.
Ashley had high hopes for Christmas after learning that her boyfriend Jeremy had purchased a ring at the jewelry store where she worked. It was supposed to be a magical Christmas but all of that changed when Jeremy told her that the ring was for his brother’s wedding and that people like her and him were living the perfect dream and did not need to get married. Ashley decides to return to her hometown of Owl Lake for Christmas even though she hurried away from it as fast as she could when she graduated to pursue her dream of living and working in the big city. Things take a different turn when she returns home and realizes how much she has missed it and her family and friends there. She has ” magically” acquired a charm bracelet while sleeping on the train on the way home and each charm has a tale to tell. Can she find her magical Christmas after all? This was a delightful read and I would highly recommend it.
This is an amazing, not-to-be-missed Christmas romance. It has all the feels – small-town, second-chance romance, Christmas, whimsy, firefighters, a dog, wonderful family relations, and a magical charm bracelet. I was so excited to see a Christmas story by Teri Wilson, and this one exceeded my expectations. It was funny and heart-warming all at the same time. It made me excited for the Christmas season and all the possibilities of Christmas magic.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. A small town Christmas romance by Hallmark Publishing.
Ashley has been working in a fancy jewelry store in New York City, and she thinks she is going to be getting an engagement ring from a man that works in the store with her. NOPE! So she goes back to her hometown of Owl Lake and when she gets off the train she thinks a woman on the train gave her a charm bracelet. It soon seems that each charm on the bracelet is now something that happens to her. Is this now going to be a dream Christmas or a disaster? What about the guys in her life, Jeremy the one in New York and Aidan an old flame in Owl Lake that keeps turning up everywhere. You definitely should read this book, it’s fun following each charm and it’s the best season to maybe fall in love.
This book is perfectly Hallmark with a magical Christmas theme. If you like Hallmark movies, you’ll love this book. It is a second chance, small town romance where the reader can predict the happily ever after outcome as is typical in Hallmark stories but it is a fun ride to see what happens along the way.
I liked the characters, both primary and secondary. I enjoyed the romance but also really liked the friendships in the story. You know you have good friends when you can tell them all the crazy things that are happening to you and they don’t think you are crazy.
I also loved the idea of the charms. It was rather — uh, charming, for lack of a better word. Made me want to get a charm bracelet.
I would love to see this book as a movie. Perfect feel good romance for a cozy winter night.
No sex, language or violence

With a jingle, a jangle, a silvery tinkle, and a sprinkle of holiday magic, author Teri Wilson offers readers a yuletide treat in “Christmas Charms”, a heartwarming contemporary romance. Ashley James is living the dream life in Manhattan–a far cry from her small hometown of Owl Lake in upstate New York. Working at elite Windsor Jewelers, sharing an apartment with her friend and coworker, Maya, and dating handsome Jeremy–who also works at Windsor’s–what more could a girl want? A few things about her relationship with Jeremy niggle at Ashley, but with their upcoming holiday trip to Paris to see his family, and the expectation of a proposal, Ashley puts her doubts aside. However, when things go wrong, and there is no engagement, and no trip to Paris, Ashley heads back home for the first time in a long, long time. On the train ride to Owl Lake, Ashley meets Betty, a kindly older lady with busy knitting needles and a fascinating charm bracelet. Ashley dozes off, and when she awakes at the train station, Betty is gone, but she has gifted Ashley with a hand-knit Christmas stocking containing the charm bracelet. Ashley’s parents are happily surprised to see her, but mysterious things begin to happen connected to each of the charms on the bracelet–including a lovable dog who “adopts” Ashley. Then there’s Aidan Flynn–handsome firefighter and Ashley’s former sweetheart. Ashley had broken Aidan’s heart when she turned down his early marriage proposal and moved to the “big city”. It’s now ten years later, and the feelings between them are still there, but have too many changes occurred, and has too much time gone by for them to find a happy second chance together? If you love captivating contemporary holiday romance that tugs at your heart and makes you believe in the magic of the season, then you will greatly enjoy “Christmas Charms” from talented storyteller Teri Wilson.

This is the second book by author Teri Wilson that I have read by accident. She is now going to be an auto-buy for me. One adorable book can be a fluke but two well written (Hallmark) romances, and I’m hooked! Now I need to go looking for her backlist. I so enjoyed this Christmas romance and highly recommend if you like Hallmark type romances. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
This charming story follows the magic of an antique charm bracelet that is given to Ashley by an elderly woman who is sitting next to her while she is sleeping on her train ride home for Christmas. There is a second chance romance with Aidan who was Ashley’s high school crush. Very well written feel-good romance.
Ashley has a gift for matching the right charm to its recipient. But, while she has worked four years at the luxurious jewelry store that sells the charms, she has never received her own charm. That is until, her Christmas plans with her boyfriend fall through and she goes home to her parent’s. On the train, she is befriended by a lovely elderly lady with a beautiful charm bracelet, but when Ashley falls asleep, she wakes to find the lady gone and the charm bracelet in her lap.
Besides being beautiful, the bracelet’s charms appear to have magical properties. Each charm seems to foretell an event that happen during her visit. Magic, unexpected romance and Christmas with her family – what a wonderful way to spend the holidays. This is a light, fluffy, enjoyable read with fun characters and events. From Hallmark Publishing, the book lives up to the promise of the imprint. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the opinion is my own.
Who doesn’t love a good Hallmark movie or book? Especially when it’s by Teri Wilson. I didn’t expect to enjoy reading a Christmas story in the middle of the summer. I read it in one sitting. I know it’s not even Halloween, but this book really put me in the mood for Christmas! It was such a cute story. I loved seeing Ashley’s journey as she realizes that sometimes the best things aren’t necessarily what we plan for ourselves. The added touch of a magical charm bracelet was just adorable. This is definitely an uplifting book & I really enjoyed it!
