When one door closes, another one opens…
Leia Ketch has been through more than any one person should ever experience. An untimely demise, starting over anew, and having to rely on herself has all been a brutal education in the game of life. Putting on a brave face and trying to remain strong, she gives in to her loneliness and replies to a stranger’s email as a favor to a friend.
Jason Hody … friend.
Jason Hody is caught off-guard when his former chief calls in an unexpected favor. He knows that he’s an obnoxious, playful, and outgoing—but it’s a mask. There’s so much more to the soldier hidden deep inside. Emailing some woman as a favor causes a blip on his internal radar, but something about her sparks an interest he can’t resist.
Can they develop a friendship to fill in the missing pieces of their hearts? Does this attempt at matchmaking turn awry? Could opposites truly attract despite being thousands of miles apart?

I loved this story even though I wanted to shake Leia. I really didn’t like her husband. I think he was a bully. Anyway, the main part of this story is the wonderful friendship between Leia and Jason. Can quiet introvert Leia and outgoing, slightly obnoxious Jason truly find common ground. Ginny Sterling has created a series that brings these unlikely pairs together and melds them into a family
This book was a joy to read. You never knew what was going to pop up or what was going to be said next. I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read!
Such a wonderful book! One horrific accident that quickly changes Leia’s life. Leia goes about live after losing her life as she knows it. She moves back home and adopts a couch potato dog. She likes her job as a teacher and goes one with life just barely living as she holds onto her memories of her “old” life.
She takes a leap of faith and writes a pen pal and over time they become friends. Once they meet in person the rest of the sparks start and wheels are set in motion for their happy ever after.
Wonderful book and I could put it down!
Fun contemporary romance! The first few chapters were heavier than the rest of the book but that was necessary to tell Leia’s story. The rest of the book was lighthearted and fun just like the main characters. I love romances when they are good friends first and being pen pals thousands of miles apart let them be that.
This was a easy, enjoyable read and a great addition to the series.
I received a complimentary copy but am voluntarily leaving a review.
This whole series is wonderful and REMEMBER LAUGHTER is the absolute best! The characters grab you right from the beginning and you will be rooting for them to reach their HEA. Starting at the beginning of the series is best but if you are only going to be reading one this should be your choice.
A beautiful story of a young and bitter widow and a soldier who can use a friend. Set up as pen pals and later phone buddies they share things with each other that they can’t share with others. Until they meet face to face. Very beautiful how the story plays out. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing
Loved it! I read this in one sitting, I had to see what happened. I cried and I laughed. Loved Leia and Jason’s story. If you like clean heartfelt books, I highly recommend ‘Remember Laughter’. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
You better have your tissues ready for this book because it’s an emotional story! However, like the title suggests, you will be laughing a good portion of it too! That’s what makes it a good story! The first chapter will captivate you! The author tastefully relates a horrifying experience that changes Leia’s life in an instant. Her life, as she knows it, is over and she must find a new “normal”. Months later she is asked to write a soldier in Afghanistan just to say hello from “home” and somehow they connect. Jason Hody is known as a goof-off and is only answering Leia’s email as a favor for a friend. The remainder of the story is so fun! I loved the banter between the two characters. Their personalities are so different yet so perfect for each other! I totally enjoyed this story between a soldier and a lost and grieving teacher
Loved this book!!!! I loved the banter between the guys and especially between Jason and Leia. Leia had to adjust to her new “normal”, and Jason had to learn that his dyslexia didn’t define him. I loved the way their relationship grew, and the changes it brought to Leia as she came to grips with all that had happened in her life. I especially loved the epilogue, and once you read it, you will, too!!! That was very like what I’ve heard has happened many times before in real life!! Great book!! This is my favorite in this series!!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
I love this story! It just may be my favorite of this series. The accident in the beginning was handled with sensitivity, which I appreciated. It made me cry; it made my heart hurt; and it made me laugh. Jason and Leia have both suffered much pain and sadness in their lives when they begin a “pen pal” relationship. And, they are drawn together because of it. The ending just before the epilogue was so funny and sweet. Most definitely 5 stars
