There is a fire in this story & it’s not coming from the back of an airplane. Anders & Manda clash because he is very opinionated against Manda & Top Flight. Then they get stranded together & he sees the truth about her & the training school. But his written criticism causes more problems he has to deal with. This whole series is very enjoyable.
This has been a fun series! I enjoyed following these handsome pilots on their assignments.
Recommend to readers who enjoy clean, contemporary romance.
I borrowed a copy from Kindle Unlimited. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
I loved Mindy Burbidge Strunk’s book, Mustang : A Fighter Pilot Romance! This is the fourth book in this Top Flight series and it was worth the wait. Mustang is a great and complex character. She has obvious trust issues, but also some good humility and strength. Anders is cocky and prideful, but also has a good heart and his own strength in humility. A good combination in these two characters. I really enjoyed their story, the way they were forced into getting to know each other, the way they fell in love, and that the story is sweet and clean. Great book, great contemporary romance, great series!
I received a complimentary copy of the book. All opinions are my own and are expressed voluntarily.
This book is fun!!
Praise from the Clean Romance Team:
“This kind of trope might be my favorite. Enemies to lovers. I love it!”
“This quick-paced romance will keep you on your toes!”
Mustang aka Amanda Partridge might have a bit of a chip on her shoulder but it is understandable considering the world she works in. Marine pilot has to be a tough place to prove yourself especially if you’re a petite blonde woman. Anders/Commander Jorgensson/Sleipnir entered the Top Flight program with his mind made up, they couldn’t teach him anything he didn’t already know. Mindy Burbidge Strunk gives us a compelling story line with plenty of action and interesting characters. Very enjoyable.
As a woman, Amanda Partridge has had to fight harder and be smarter than any of her fellow Marines. Her fellow Top Flight co-owners know and appreciate her skills and knowledge. Anders Jorgensson, squadron leader, is just arrogant enough to think that Amanda and her staff can’t teach or his squadron anything new. However, he gains respect and admiration for this spitfire of a woman after they must bail out of their aircraft and are stranded in the Russian wilderness. Their camaraderie turns to friendship and then something more. Too bad he messes it all up. Finding forgiveness may not be possible.
I enjoyed finally reading Mustang’s story. She’s been a fun secondary character throughout the series. I liked the locations for this story as well. It was quite adventurous. Anders, however I was not a big fan of. I felt he was very arrogant and selfish, even after he was humbled. He had some good moments, but overall I just didn’t connect with him. I also felt the resolution was a little rushed and unbelievable. Overall the story was good, but not my favorite from this series.
I loved this fighter pilot romance. The trainer angle plus the female angle was great. I loved the different countries and really enjoyed as these characters came to know each other. I liked the touch of suspense too.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love finding a great new series. Each of these books Ace, Bear, Flyboy and Mustang have been great reads. I’ve enjoyed them. And I’m sad to see this series end.
I liked getting to see Mustang, or Manda’s story. She was a side character in each of the other books. I always love seeing the side characters get their story.
I loved where Manda is stationed. She’s stationed on a small island near Sweden. It was also fun that Manda knew Swedish when no one around her expected her to. I know a little bit of Swedish and it was a fun connection for me.
Manda meets Anders when he plows into her as he’s playing football. She’s not the nicest about it. And neither of them have a very good opinion of the other. Which makes their next meetings not only awkward, but they just add to the bad feelings between the two.
I really had to laugh when they are barely on speaking terms, but end up stranded alone in the middle of no where. And have to work to get out of danger relying on only each other.
I loved the way they work together and come to see each other in a different light. This kind of trope might be my favorite. Enemies to lovers. I love it!
I was sent an e-copy of Mustang as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
I have loved this series! A fun read, full of adventure!
I was happy to finally read ‘Mustangs‘ story. This is the last book of the Top Flight series. We’ve seen glimpses of Manda in the other books and it was nice to finally hear her story. It was fun and sweet with a little bit of adventure. Manda had trust issues with men and Anders was the typical macho male, that needed to be tamed. It was entertaining to watch them come together. There was some light adventure to keep the story interesting. Of course there were some swoony moments, but well within the clean romance spectrum. Great series, all can be read individually, but better if read as a series.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the banter between the main characters. I loved how they didn’t really like each other but as the book progressed and as they went through having to work together to survive they grew to respect and love each other. I also loved how the hero got feed some humble pie near the end. I also loved how the main characters came back together at the end and how it took time to come back together. I have loved this series and I’m sad to see this series end.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.
A great ending to a really fun series! Amanda takes a new assignment for Top Flight and is surprised to see that the guy who ran into her in the park earlier – literally – is one of the pilots in her program. Anders has a hard time seeing what Amanda can possibly teach him about flying, but when they end up together in a perilous situation, they have to learn to trust each other in order to survive.
I loved Amanda and Anders’ characters – they are so much more complex than they initially appear and the author did a great job slowly peeling back the layers of their backstories. The chemistry between the two was so fun, especially on their unexpected adventure.
This was a light, easy read sure to be a hit with fans of contemporary romance. I have enjoyed all the books in this series and I am sad it is coming to an end!
I received a complimentary copy of this book but my opinions are my own.
3.5* Strunk has added an exciting story to A Fighter Pilot Romance series. The story stands alone, though the heroine interacts with characters from the other books. This story was full of adventure and the rocky road the characters travelled makes the end destination all the more sweet. I loved the cultural differences and the way they worked though their differences and misunderstandings.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
