While it took me a little bit to keep the Trents and the worlds straight, I loved this book! The different worlds, the powers of the women and the family dynamics always make for a great story. And let’s not forget the steaminess! And I loved learning Rowan’s power. Looking forward to the next installment.
Trent’s story definitely had to be next after Troy’s, but it has an unexpected twist at the start, so I won’t go into any story detail since I don’t want to give anything away. This is an intense and compelling tale, which will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. There’s the usual Khain intrigue, plenty of drama and strong emotions, and lots of steamy passion. You can’t help but become involved in the story. The characters are so engaging, and the storyline is well-developed, effortlessly pulling you in from the beginning, keeping you easily invested throughout, and leaving you begging for more at the end.
One of the best parts of each story is that the characters are well-integrated into the whole series, and the underlying storyline captures and continues to hold your interest and heart with each book. You will find the outcome of each tale to be well worth the journey. I highly recommend this book and series! I can’t wait to see what’s in store as Canyon’s story is next!
I will have to say, Lisa did an amazing job with Trent’s story. At first I had to reread parts because I was a little confused but then it clicked. The confusion could have been lack of focus since there is a lot going on right now. All I can say is WOW. Trent’s story was so worth the lllooonnnggg wait.
Troy’s complexity started when he was born and unable to shift. He accepted the fact that he was unable to shift, but he also knew that he was different even though his brother Troy was unable to shift until much later in life. That’s is until his life is turned upside down with a mission he must win. Trent and Troy continue to have a strong bond.
Rowen, Trent’s one true mate, is a scientist who is needed to find a solution for the poison in the reservoir. She’s smart, beautiful, and know exactly what Trent needs even if she doesn’t fully understand her role in his life.
Shifter’s Homecoming is the perfect addition to the One True Mate Series. Even though sone questions still remain, these will probably get resolved in future. This is another Must Read from Lisa Ladew.
So good and so worth the wait. After Troy finally shifted in the last story I have been very patiently waiting for Trent’s, I personally love the complicated mix of reality to dream mix, trying to work out what’s happening and figure out the solutions. The worry about his wolf and Smokey, the frustration and the pain. I could completely empathise with him. There is a lot going on in this plot, lots suspense and excitement and its easy to get sucked in and held enthralled throughout. I must admit I didn’t want to read it to fast, I wanted to completely soak it up and enjoy the ride so I did force myself to drag it out. The consistency as always between this and previous books is astounding, my admiration to the author for keeping it all straight, cant be easy with so many characters, prophecies and elements, it blew me away. I have only read one other paranormal series to rival this and if asked I couldn’t choose between them, I marvel at the way the authors minds work and conjure up these amazing stories to keep me and other readers entertained, I know they often doubt themselves but honestly I don’t know if its possible to do any better than they do already. Fantastic story.
Trent after 31 years as a wolf finally shift into a man but not where he thought he would be. Finally home he finds his mate Rowan who is trying to fix the red poison. Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. Love this series.
As a fan of the series I hate saying I struggled with the first of the book. The things Trent learned were necessary but I just couldn’t connect with the story.
The last half was absolutely amazing and worth the struggle I had at the beginning. Trent and Rowan were perfect together and her power NEVER occurred to me.
Brilliant!
This is book 10 in this series. I absolutely love Trent’s story. Lisa has the gift of shift. The storyline was perfect for this character and IMO, keeping the strong bond between him and his twin brother was really important to this series. Well done! His One True Mate Rowan is absolutely perfect for him and her friendship with Reed is beautiful!
I highly recommend this book/series and although each book has its own HEA I recommend reading in order!
