Creator of the bestselling “Welcome to Wishing Bridge” and “At Home in Wishing Bridge” award-winning author Ruth Logan Herne invites readers back to the little town with the big heart with “Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge”.
Being a supermodel isn’t just hard.
It can be a killer, so when international sensation Jazz Monroe answered a friend’s call for help, she’d just taken a hiatus from the job … hiatus from the job that made her a very rich woman and almost took her life. Outwardly Jazz was everything anyone would want to be. Beautiful, confident, rich and famous, and often seen on the arm of some of the world’s most eligible bachelors, Jazz knows the truth she hides. Her self-confidence is an act and the eating disorder that plagues her refuses to let her rest.
But then she and her old friend Thea are called to help a friend and fulfill a pledge they’d made a dozen years before as high school seniors. If any one of the three ever needed help, the others would come running. Last December, Kelsey made that call and her two old friends, the other members of the “Soul Sisterhood”, responded. They’re here now. Thea is practicing medicine, Kelsey has married the hero deputy that saved her life and Jazz is finding the hints of peace that have eluded her for nearly two decades. She settles into the little town, helping out at a local diner, waiting for the sky to fall.
It doesn’t. Instead, the sun begins to shine, winter fades to spring, and surrounded by new and old friends, Jazz begins to believe in herself. She loves the small town, the kindness of the locals, the warmth of the family diner and the special attention from two very different and distinct men makes her think new thoughts. Thoughts of family and picket fences and settling down.
But an unexpected attack on a wood-edged path reignites her fears and insecurities. Now she’s looking in shadows again, doubting herself and others. In Manhattan, locked elevators and a staffed entrance desk kept her safe from intruders.
Wishing Bridge has nothing like that. Here, she lives life at ground level, with no bodyguards watching out for her. But when a local contingent makes it their job to keep her safe, Jazz learns not to sell the small town short. Folks here mean what they say because that’s the kind of town Wishing Bridge is.
As Jazz rediscovers the most important things in life, she realizes that happiness isn’t about where you are: it’s about who you’re with. And who you love.
Join Jazz, Kelsey, Thea and the rest of the Wishing Bridge cast as they band together to help the town and one another because together– in Wishing Bridge– they can make anything happen.

I love that this book talks about some hard topics like eating disorders and how the lives of others aren’t always as we perceive them to be.
This is the first book in this series I’ve read and while it can be read this way I would highly recommend you go ahead and read the series in order. Everything will make just a bit more sense that way.
While I haven’t read this series before I have read some books by this author so I knew I’d love her writing style and that this would be amazing! This is definitely an author I can recommend and you should get to reading her works! That said I need to read the other books in this series because this one was amazing.
I loved getting to know Jazz. While I’m definitely not a model, try short and slightly overweight, I loved that she was relatable and that she was made out to be just another girl who is under a lot of pressure and who has an intense life. She needs a break but when she takes one things don’t’ slow down as she’s off to help a friend.
The entire series is available on Kindle Unlimited if you have a subscription to that. I do and honestly, it’s the best thing ever for reading all the wonderful books!
I highly recommend this book and the entire series(I have since gone back and read books one and two because how could I not!) Think Hallmark movie but where you get to decide what everyone looks like. The best kind ever! You’re going to love this book. Take my word for it and go get it now!

FINDING PEACE IN WISHING BRIDGE is the third book in the Wishing Bridge series. To be honest, I fell in love with the cover the minute I saw it. I knew I would read it anyway, because I love Ruth Logan Herne, but the cover really pulled me in. I loved everything about this beautiful story and I’m excited to continue the series. Ruth Logan Herne always has a way of grabbing her readers and she never lets us go. Jacinda, also known as Jazz, Monroe, international model turned small town girl, has just started finding herself, and freedom, when she’s attacked at a town Fourth of July celebration. Jazz grew up in South Philadelphia and never thought she could be happy in a small rural town, but Wishing Bridge is really growing on her.
Once again, Ruth Logan Herne owes me a box of tissues! FINDING PEACE IN WISHING BRIDGE shredded my heart over and over again! What an emotional story this is! When I was finished reading I couldn’t get Jazz out of my head and went through half a box of tissues thinking about her and how scared she was! But Jazz’s story is filled with so much hope, that I was instantly cheering her on! I can honestly tell you this, I am going to read everything that Ruth Logan Herne has written. I am a forever fan of her beautiful stories and I only have a handful of her older books to find and read. I’ve read almost every one of them! FINDING PEACE IN WISHING BRIDGE had my emotions all over the place and near the end, I was afraid to keep reading. This is what Ruthie does to me each and every time!
FINDING PEACE IN WISHING BRIDGE is filled with twists and turns and had me staying up way too late one night to finish! I had to know where Ruth Logan Herne was taking us and what would happen to Jazz. I really loved how the whole community came to Jazz’s aid and only wanted her to feel loved, protected, and welcomed! There is so much heart in Ruth’s writing that I’m always left with a huge smile on my face and my heart very happy. I could totally see FINDING PEACE IN WISHING BRIDGE becoming a Hallmark movie and I would love to see it. All of the characters are very interesting and believable, so much so that I felt as if I’ve known them for a long time. I wish Wishing Bridge was a real town! I would pack my bags in an instant! I love how Ruthy does that to me each and every time.
This was the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. Her writing style was good. I enjoyed the main character of Jazz. I also really enjoyed all of the sub-characters. I think I might have enjoyed the secondary characters more than the main character. Not because the main character of Jazz wasn’t done well, but I think the secondary characters were done so well that I actually resonated more with them. Jeb and Maggie stole my heart. I should also add that this is book 3 in a series. I didn’t have any problems following along but I always like to point it out when it’s part of a series. There were only 2 things I didn’t like. One was the fact that we didn’t see much of the “bad guy” I don’t want to give away any spoilers, I just thought that aspect of the story could have been developed more. Two, there is one use of the word bloody used as an exclamation or in exasperation. I wasn’t offended by it but it pulled me out of the story because I was trying to figure out why the author would randomly add an unusual word like this. it just threw me off. Overall a good book that i would recommend to most. I received this book through the JustRead tour program for free. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.
“In Wishing Bridge she wanted to be known for her open heart, her kindness and her character.”
Former supermodel Jazz Monroe has travelled the world and made millions of dollars, but the charming community of Wishing Bridge has begun to feel like home . . . until an unexpected trauma completely tangles her sense of small town security. Is it possible that someone is intent on destroying not only her peace of mind, but her very life?
As local friends come to her rescue, Jazz has the opportunity to remember that trust is an integral ingredient in friendship, especially when it comes to the quiet strength of a local law enforcement officer whose concern for her well being trumps any confusing signals that she might inadvertently send about her feelings for the handsome Garrett Jackson.
Filled with folksy charm and just a bit of ongoing suspense, this return to Wishing Bridge stages its fair share of reality among members of a close knit community, “because no matter how rough things (get), the blessings outnumber the negatives”.
Wishing bridge, small town beauty, love and friendship found in this wonderful town.
This was my first visit to this wonderful town and my first book by this author but i loved the people of Wishing Bridge, Jazz and her friends and the whole community were my new best friends .
I loved Jazz and her determination to get over her past and the fears that held her bound, watching her grow as she overcame those hurdles and found love in the process.
The added mystery of a stalker and the suspense attached to it also made the story all the more enjoyable.

Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge is one of those heart warming books that grabs the reader’s emotions and doesn’t let go until the very end. Featuring Jazz, a famous retired international fashion model who just wants to settle down into a peaceful home surrounded by people she loves. She has found what she considers exactly the right place in Wishing Bridge where two of her dearest friends have already made their home but her peaceful world is rudely interrupted by an attempted attack by an unknown man. Jazz is afraid she will never find the peace she desires until her possible stalker is found. The fine folk of Wishing Bridge surround Jazz with their protection, love, and lots of prayers. One man in particular fights his attraction to her, believing that he is not good enough for someone of her position. Jazz meets Gus, her neighbor and falls quickly in love with his adorable son Emerson, not knowing the tragic secret Gus attempts to hide from the world.
I loved all the citizens of Wishing Bridge and the way they worked together in community, each one helping those in need as their own talents allowed. I loved the fairy trail created by Max for the children. I also loved Emerson’s enthusiastic little boy zest for life despite his serious illness. Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge is a tale that ends well despite a few harrowing side trails and tears along the way. For a feel good book, this is definitely one I would recommend.

It has been a while since I’ve visited the fictional town of Wishing Bridge and I was thrilled to return, catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones in the third book in Ruth Logan Herne’s series.
As many of the residents gather around Jazz in her time of need, Herne spins that small-town magic that makes you want to be a part of them. And while I couldn’t really relate to Jazz (a high fashion super model with plenty of money and a past filled with magazine shoots and travel), she is likable.
There’s a hint of suspense with Jazz’s stalker and the few intermissions from his perspective keep the danger at the edge of the readers’ minds. But what really stole the show in Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge for me was the kids. Herne writes children so well, and their excitement and imagination over the fairy houses that pop up in the second half of the book are delightful and filled my heart with joy.
I was also very happy to see this story isn’t a permanent goodbye to this town and these characters. It’s simply an “until next time.”

This is the first of this author I am reading and it was a great journey through the lives of imperfect friends but their heart and willingness to be there for each other, going the extra mile. It is not easy to walk away from the limelight but I admired Jazz’s courage to do what was right for her. I enjoyed the flow of the story, there was no dull moment. I fell in love with the mosaic of friends; Garrett, Ben, Haye, Jeb, Maggie, Thea, Kelsey, Max, Jill, Gus different people with different stories but they came together to be to each other what they needed most. The kids of the story were the highlight of the book. Even when their was a stalker on the loose, death and uncertainties, their faith in God ran through.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Set in small-town Wishing Bridge and with a cast of wonderful, realistic, characters, Finding Peace in Wishing Bridge has a little bit of everything—suspense, romance, inspiration, and a good dose of community caring and compassion. This last book in the series can be read alone, but it’s helpful to read the preceding books to really get a good feel for it. Many of the characters are carried over to this book. Ruth Logan Herne is a pro at writing small-town stories and it shows in the relationships between the people and the camaraderie they enjoy.
It was such fun to see the friendship between Jazz and Garrett develop and progress. Garrett is a fantastic hero—caring, helpful, and ready to do anything to protect others. Jazz is feisty and independent and deeply loving with her friends. I didn’t immediately connect with her, but she grew on me throughout the story. I’ll admit to being a little confused by all the characters in the book, as there were some sub-stories going on with some of them. I had to stop and think about them sometimes, which took me out of the story a bit. All in all, this is a satisfying read about people coming together to help each other.

Ruth Logan Herne knows how to craft an enchanting small town full of interesting characters and history. Wishing Bridge is a tiny town in upstate NY and this book is #3 in the series. I wish I had read the first two books; that would have helped me to better organize the secondary characters of this story in my mind since there were so many. The charming atmosphere and solidarity in Wishing Bridge are quite lovely, even if there is a bit of hostility towards the privileged who live in a gated community outside of the village.
There are multiple subplots within the story – a stalker hunting down Jazz, a little boy losing function to some kind of muscular dystrophy, things happening to the other two/three couples from the previous books, a romantic thread for Garrett’s aunt – in addition to Garrett and Jazz’s relationship. It was a lot for me to focus on, especially because I am new to Wishing Bridge and its inhabitants. I didn’t connect on a deeper level with the characters and spent most of the book trying to figure out how everyone was related to each other.
Read the first two books before picking this one up. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it thoroughly if you do.
