This book has romance, heartbreak, laughter, and tears. It will show these three women that life is richer with great friends by your side.
The Girls of Mischief Bay is about three women who became friends while attending yoga classes at the yoga studio that one of the women owns. Since there is approximately a ten year age difference between each woman, they are at different stages in their lives and dealing with various challenges incidental to their particular age group; some major and some fairly common, but nevertheless difficult. We learn how each woman responds to her particular plight, and how the friends rally together to support one another during each others’ times of distress. The process of working on their trials reveals their strengths, vulnerabilities and ultimately the outcomes of their situations.
I absolutely LOVED this book!! I laughed, I cried and I stayed up nights eager to know what would happen next with Pam, Shannon and Nicole. I connected with Pam’s character, and I was inspired by the wisdom that she imparted to her friends. I have an inkling that Pam’s wise words possibly echoed Susan Mallery’s own treasures of knowledge and wisdom acquired over the years. That’s just my guess. The emotional parts of this book were so eloquently written I wish I could tear out the pages and read them over and over again. But I dare not destroy this precious book. Incredible writing.
In conclusion, I liked everything about this book and I didn’t want it to end. When it was over I teared up and marveled at the perfect ending. I already ordered and received the next book in the series because I have to know how these ladies move forward with their lives. That’s how invested I’d become with these characters. Highly recommended.
Descriptionso of this island community made island living exciting and worth pursuing.
I listened to this book on audio. It was a delight. I became friends with Pam, Shannon and Nicole everyday while walking and was so incredibly invested in their lives. It was as if they were my own real friends. Mallory’s characters are “every woman.” Whether you’ve been through what any of these characters have dealt with or not, you certainly know someone who has. This is a book of sisterhood. You’ll smile, laugh and cry.
Great read!
I love books about women friends.
Love reading anything Susan Mallery writes
An eclectic group of three women sharing, supporting each other. Wonderful story,
I love Susan Mallery’s books, but while this one was good, it wasn’t my favorite. It is the story of three friends supporting each other through big life changes in each of their lives. I liked the characters, but the plot line felt a little “too much”. Situations seemed realistic for the most part. I just wasn’t captivated like I usually am by her books. It was a easy, uplifting read if you are looking for such.
Loved everything about this book. I can’t wait to read spiels from this author. Great read.
interesting characters easy read
It was a great book by an author that I enjoy very much. Each woman in the book was hit with challenges that they were not expecting and they grew close and helped each other get through their difficulties.
I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next. The characters are very realistic and became to feel like friends. I laughed, cried and cheered them on. I loved the nod to Debbie Macomber!
A few twists and turns, but a happy ending-finally. Great characters and true to life. I especially liked the older woman’s story.
Yet another great series… If a bit more intense
Susan Mallery never disappoints! Great characters, funny. And always great stories!
The story of three friends from three generations. They support and care for each other as the ups and downs of life happen. Great interaction and follow through for each woman involved. Each story if followed, unlike the books dedicated to the personalities in some of the other series. The first, I believe of Mischief Bay.
Shannon, Pam and Nicole are the three main characters of this book. Their friendship and their relationships.
this one is more about life and the difficulties that we go through with a large touch of romance thrown in.
I really enjoyed it. Just thought it jumped from character to character to much (it has 3 main characters
and the book is the love story of Shannon but the life stories of all three. I recommend reading it was good.
It made me laugh, cry and think so was really a good book.
First time I have ready any of her books. Very easy to read – really enjoying.
I loved these stories-I was sad when it ended!
