While she’s hard on the outside, she has a soft spot for the elderly and disadvantaged teens of her neighborhood. With a green thumb and a knack for nursing, she has a tender heart for taking care of those in need.
But a rich cowboy wearing a suit, one who wants to buy her shop and take away all she holds dear, well she has no time for him when his car breaks down. That is until her family is in trouble, and Silas might be the only one who can help…
Now Silas must decide if he will go against his family to do the right thing. He’s drawn to Teddy in a way he’s never felt before. Can she ever learn to trust him enough to give him a chance?

Very good book. I love this whole series
In Debt To The Cowboy is book 2 of The Miller Brothers Of Texas. The story consists of Silas, one of the twin Miller boys that meets a mechanic in a poor neighborhood he was checking out for their father to put a distribution center which would displace most of the residents. This mechanic fixed his car and welded a bat at the gang that was about to get him. He was never so impressed with someone in his life as he was Teddy, the woman mechanic that fixed his car. She was not just a body but had a heart as big as the community she was trying to save. She spoke her mind and when she needed help she remembered what Silas had said about he would help her if she needed him. He wanted to change some of the things going on at the ranch that had been modernized by his father that Solomon and Silas had begun to think was wrong to do. Silas had started doing some riding around the ranch and they had tried to “get their hands dirty again” . But meeting Teddy put the spin on Silas’ life and Teddy opened his eyes up to reality in the real world without a high trust fund. Silas decided he wants to date Teddy but was not sure about her feelings. Once she was not his mechanic anymore, she was willing to date Silas.
I do have to say I am disappointed that Natalie Dean has used a few 4-letter words that were entirely unnecessary in a “clean story”.
Silas is the middle son of the extremely wealthy Miller family well known in Texas. As he in investigating an acquisition in a run-down section of the city his car broke down and he had it repaired at a local, family owned auto repair shop. Here he met Teddy, the head mechanic, a tall gorgeous red-head in her mid 20’s who has had to fight and scrap for everything she has and is extremely distrustful anyone from outside the neighborhood. Silas is attracted to Teddy and wants to make her situation better in the run-down, dangerous area of the city. Can Silas break through the defensive wall Teddy has build around herself and earn her trust? This is a wonderful story showing the struggles and triumphs of the inner city and it’s residents.

I have read most of the Miller Brothers’ stories, and now this series, about another set of Miller brothers. Cousins to the other Miller brothers. All very wealthy, and sheltered from what life can be like on the other end of the money spectrum. I love how Ms. Dean shows the differences, and allows her characters to open their eyes and hearts to understanding others and how they think and feel, and learning that these other ways are just as real and true and important as our own. I really loved the sense of community was shown in Teddy’s neighborhood. It would be wonderful if we could all adopt this attitude more in our own neighborhoods!
I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very well written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.

Beautifully written.
This tale was a bit different and I enjoyed it a great deal Silas has the money and things are going well till he meets up with Teddy. I loved Teddy she is someone you would want to be friends with. As slick as Silas is fate is going to find something else for him, it will not be all clear sailing but it was a fun journey to take with these two. What I really loved about the ending it was beautifully written and I would be surprised if it did not bring a tear to your eye. drop a cowboy billionaire into a city slum and you have a fine scenario to spin a tale of romance. I really enjoyed the interactions between the protagonists, so much so that this going onto the to-read-again shelf

This story was quite unexpected, but not in a bad way at all. The storyline is good and the characters are just fabulous. The way they interact and how they influence each other is just really good. Overall the story is good and it very much deserves the fantastic four stars I am giving it here.

Silas met Teddy when his car broken down near her family’s mechanic shop while he was checking out their neighborhood for a potential development for his father. He was all business until he got to know Teddy and the people in the neighborhood, which if it were me I would have been really afraid of all the gang activity. Teddy was a tough mechanic who defended herself with a bat and put up walls. Silas puts up walls too after being burned by an ex and literally with scars from being burned when he was younger. This story was a bit too much about the rough side of town against the rich people who would take it over. But there were a lot of funny and people helping each other out moments.
A great, fun series to add to your reading list. The characters are strong and well developed. The story is well written, captivating and flows smoothly from the first page to the last page. A great book to add to your summer reading list.

I am loving the Miller brothers of Texas! The last book was great, but this one is even better, I really loved Teddy. She knows how to make the best of less than ideal circumstances. Silas has to decide if he will do his father’s bidding or stand up to his father and do the right thing. I loved watching this community stay together. There are some really great scenes in the book. Don’t miss this one.
This is the 2nd book in this series. Silas is a shy billionaire. Teddy is a mechanic at her adoptive daddys car shop. Can these two get past their differences?

I thought the book was excellent to read. Oh my for the millionaire to take an interest in the run down district was something. And for him to protect Teddy was so very special . You would have to read the story to understand about trust, love, security and honesty. I would recommend this book to everyone.
The second book in the series brings Silas and Teddy’s story. The author once again brings strong characters and an entertaining story line. She does a great job developing both the story and their relationship. It’s well written, moves fluidly and I enjoyed reading. I would recommend this book.

I really liked this romance and how the characters’ relationship evolved. I liked the start differences between the billionaires and the low income community. The issues that are faced there and the shadyness that occurs. These characters were awesome and the storyline flowed really well and was enticing. I didn’t want to put the book down.
