Welcome to Briar Cliff, Arizona! Women are scarce and the town is in need of babies if it’s going to survive. Five desperate men put out ads in the paper in search of wives. These are their stories.
When Colt Savage gets cold feet shortly after placing a mail order bride ad, his brother steps in to make sure Colt follows through. Unfortunately, he doesn’t tell Colt that, so when Leah May shows … Colt that, so when Leah May shows up unexpectedly on Colt’s doorstep, he’s more than slightly startled by the appearance of this gentle, beautiful woman claiming to be his fiancée. To make matters worse, the string of crimes plaguing Briar Cliff, Arizona, rears its head again, this time hitting Colt’s farm.
Leah doesn’t quite know what to make of Colt at first. Handsome as he is, it’s clear he doesn’t really want her around. The fact that she’s feeling ill is equally unhelpful, since she can see that he worries that she’s too delicate to survive life in the wild west.
Yet, even as things fall apart around them in the town, Leah and Colt begin to fall in love. When Leah’s health takes a turn for the worse and her life hangs in the balance, Colt can do nothing but put his faith in God that his gentle bride-to-be will survive, and continue to aid his friends in the race to solve the mystery plaguing Briar Cliff before it destroys them all.
This is Book #3 in a series of five novellas. Clean HEA romances suitable for all ages!

Such a sweet story that stole my heart. Not realizing what his brother had done, Colt finds himself with a mail order bride. Leah May had lost her family and her only choice was to answer a mail order bride ad. But when she arrives in Briar Cliff, Arizona, she and Colt realize what his brother has done. Colt gets angry with his brother but Leah was a gentle soul and worried what would happen. She had been feeling ill and Colt did begin to worry about her. Behind that rough exterior beat a gentle heart.
A mystery, danger, suspense and a building love bring this story to an amazing end that I could only sigh. Loved it!
Being a mail order bride, Leah got to to and learned that the man she thought she was marrying didn’t order her, his brother did. But Colt fell hard for Leah. While they worked through their miscommunication, they were faced with dangers from an unknown source. The town and its people were under attack and didn’t know who it was. Would Leah live to stay and love Colt? Would the town find the culprit? Good read

I always enjoy reading books by Ms. Abbott. I can count on her for a sweet, clean, and heartwarming story. This one is no different. I love the way she describes each scene with such vivid details, making me feel as if I am right there seeing everything for myself. The characters are wonderful and you can’t help but fall in love with them. Colt and Leah are two lost souls who clearly need each other. It was wonderful to see their relationship grow as they realized that they were falling in love. This is a wonderful addition to a great series and I can’t wait to read the next one!

This was the third book in this series of unique romance stories. The small western town of Briar Cliff, Arizona needs women and children for it to grow, so the men made and agreement among themselves that five of them would send for mail order brides. This time it was Colt Savage’s turn, but he was not moving fast enough so his brother James sent for Colt’s bride for him.
Problem was the town men thought they had all the mysteries solved, but things just keep happening cattle dying, another fire, and attempted murder. So all the intrigue with several twist and turns brings this fast moving story into the next wave. The brides become closer friends. The plot gets more complex as the characters all get closer together, Colt and his bride have a terrific chemistry together. It is a book you are sure to enjoy.

Colt was loud and angry arguing with his brother James about his mail order bride he didn’t send for when Leah shows up. I wouldn’t have wanted to marry Colt if I were under the impression that he was angry all the time. But even though he talks a lot and doesn’t always say the right thing, he has a soft side which he showed repeatedly with Leah especially when she was ill. There are arsons, snakes, and animal and people poisonings as the people of Briar Cliff try to figure out the culprit. The epilogue with Edith was interesting and made me wonder if the unnamed person she spoke with should be a suspect.
What a great story about hope, sadness, family and suspense! I can’t wait to find out who has it out for the town. But Leah and Colts story was so sweet. Falling in love as you get to know the person.

A good historical western
It is now Colt’s turn to find his bride. I liked his ad but it was a bit surprising since he has been the most reluctant of the gentlemen. Then there is a little bit of a twist, good old James. Leah had just arrived from Maine and hello surprise. There is not just this either, the town has had some serious problems and now Colt gets to share in that too in a big way. This faith-based western was an entertaining read and I like the theme that is running through the series. It has a good cliff hanger and lead into the next book. If you like western historical this is a good one to pick up. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is a sweet mail order romance with Leah and Colt set in Brair Cliff. His brother orders him a mail order bride and when she arrives she finds out that Colt never sent for her but her health is failing and the town has some troubles so she spends the time trying to get to know Colt even when he does not want her. Colt did not want a bride but the more time he spends with Leah the more he likes her and wants her to stay if she can just get better.
The third book in the series brings Leah and Colt’s story. It’s well written with strong characters and an interesting story line. The author does a great job developing their story and pulls you in with the mystery and sweet romance. It’s a heartwarming read with the author doing a beautiful job taking you back to the day, moving the story quickly and smoothly and once again delivering a winner. Loved and highly recommend this book.
