United we stand…
Wonderful and sensitively written menage a trois romance! Two fabulous cyborg heroes and one desperately brave human mama-to-be brave the hardships of life on the Martian frontier. In the process, they learn that love is more cohesive than gravity, and that those who stand together are stronger together. That idea is beginning to spread through the colony – to humans and cyborgs alike. Are the seeds of revolution being sown?
Daisy gladly accepts a marriage by proxy to a man that has settled at the new territory on the planet Mars. Although she has not seen her new husband, he is better than her rich and violent ex-boyfriend who wants to destroy her body and soul. Cyborgs J-817 and B-669 gave their lives for their country and were repaid by being turned into cyborgs to be workers for the new establishment on Mars. J-817, the Sargent to B-669 when they were human soldiers, cannot forgive himself for the decisions he made that lead to the death of his squad and him and B-669 made into Cyborgs. When three lost souls, Daisy, J-817 and B-669, come together, everything will change for all of them. Mars becomes the new frontier in more ways than one.
I have recently become a Honey Phillips fan. Do not let the name fool you, this lady is an excellent writer. I had read the prequel novel to the Cyborg series and was intrigued. A Few Cyborgs More was a combination of westerns and war shows from the 1960s and 1970s with modern day technology. I enjoyed the constant caring and protectiveness that J-817 showed towards B-669, even after they became Cyborgs. In turn they both became protective and loving towards Daisy. The intricate development of their relationship within the novel was good. Ms. Phillips did a good job of making sure each character’s emotional distress of what was developing between them known and utilized effective communication to keep the chaos to a minimum. This novel introduced new characters from whose stories will be explored in future novels in the series. The characters from the prequel characters were also a part of this story. I hope to see these three in the future stories in the series. This novel was a wonderful quick steamy read that had me wanting to read more.
great series
I hate myself for reading this so fast! This is a story that I wanted to savor, having looked forward to its release for weeks. But I couldn’t. Savor it, that is. I just fell into Daisy’s story, her new life with her guys. Jonah, with his big mountain man load of hurt, and Bill, the best wing-man ever, together they make the perfect man! The story was easy to get lost in, and I just kept going, page after page, I couldn’t stop. There are so many smoking hot scenes when they finally get to it, but the story really focuses on their building relationship and the way they intersect with the other characters in the series. I loved this book, I love this series, I am anxiously waiting for Cherry’s story to come out, and I’m wondering what’s up with Serena anyway? I have questions about how the discovery will play out in future books, and I just want to go back and read this one again!
*WARNING* story contains explicit sexual content
You just can’t go wrong with this series! It’s easy to see the Earth being over populated, but to have the government change out wounded soldiers into cyborgs to explore Mars? Hhmmm….it’s a little scary that that wouldn’t surprise me. Anyway! This story is sad because of the way Jonah carries so much guilt. He has pretty much given up on life and just exists from day to day. I can see a bit of reality running parallel to parts of this story, that just makes it all the better. Well written and well edited.
I don’t like MFM, but it’s Honey Phillips. And I will read almost everything she writes. Particularly when we’re on Mars!
Daisy is on the run. All the way to Mars to escape her ex. She has signed a marriage contract with Jonah, a cynical scarred warrior turned miner. Jonah protects Billy because of guilty feelings about losing his squad in his last battle. We meet some old friends along the way and some new, and all in all, it’s an exciting ride!
Book three in the Cyborgs on Mars series a well written story that I would say do not start at bedtime, as once I started to read I was not putting it down. This is Daisy, J-817/Jonah, and B-669/Billy’s story there is suspense, drama, danger, a very evil ex, twists, turns, kidnapping, and romance. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A Few Cyborgs More is a well-written book 3 in the “Cyborgs on Mars Series” that has great characters with depth and chemistry. These characters have a connection and you feel as if you know them. The story is really good and I cannot wait until I read more books from this author and in this series. All the books I have read from this Author so far are very good. Must read

Daisy traveled several months to Mars to leave behind a nightmare. Married to a man on paper and sight unseen, she arrives on Mars. Daisy is small, afraid, and harboring a secret. Once arriving at her new homestead, she finds she’s married to a huge and gruff, older cyborg! Jonah is blindsided by this marriage that his long-time friend, Billy, has arranged. But Daisy finds herself attracted to both men. Jonah is protective and commanding which makes her feel safe. Billy is affectionate and kind which makes Daisy feel loved. This makes for a steamy story between the trio. I love them together. Billy is hoping that Daisy can heal Jonah’s broken soul over time. Unfortunately, Daisy’s past catches up with her. You will hate Richard. He’s a special kind of evil. ThIs adventure has some fun twists and turns. Don’t miss it!
A Few Cyborgs More gives us an additional view of the Mars colony and landscape. You will fall in love with Jonah and Billy just like Daisy did. Fabulous addition to the series! 4 stars
I love this series!
This story captured my attention quickly with scenes of what happened before Jonah and Bill arrive on Mars. Intensely moving! I had to read on. Billy (B-669) finds a way to get a mail order bride for his partner, his guilt-ridden Sgt., Jonah (J-817). Daisy has a secret. One that Jonah and Bill have no problem accepting. Thankfully, Daisy is a very open-minded person, because she really needs the protection of both these men. I love the way Jonah changes from the ever grumpy, gloomy man to one who is happy and laughing with his new wife and partner. Trouble does come (doesn’t it always find us?) but a fine (and unusual) collection of friends are there to help set things straight. I am more and more intrigued by a GenCon employee and wonder what motivates her to assist. A splendid adventure and heartwarming romance.
4 stars – It was really good
B-669 owes everything to J-817. In an attempt to help J-817 overcome the trauma of their past, he arranges for a mail order bride for him. What neither of them expects is to find that Daisy might want both of them.
This is the first ménage relationship in this series and it was very enjoyable. Billy and Jonah have been partners for years but with Daisy they realize their partnership can change. I enjoyed the relationship progression in this one a lot. Their relationship built over time and eventually included all three of them.
While not a lot happened with GenCon in this one we do get the hint of what might happen in future books. I am curious to see how it plays out, especially since it appears that the cyborgs are all in agreement on it. Overall, this was a great cyborg romance and I hope these three appear in future books. Also, I am so excited to learn more about Cherry and her life. She is a very interesting woman.
The beginning of the story had me painting one picture in my head of something more futuristic, once we introduce Daisy things started feeling like a Vanessa Vale old time western without the spankings.
Except for some references to their implants we don’t really get much sci-fi normal cyborg behavior.
B-669/Billy and J-817/Jonah were soldiers before they were made into cyborgs. Jonah was Billy’s team leader and feels responsible for Billy being injured and as such is still living with the guilt of letting his men down.
Hoping to draw Jonah back to the land of the living Billy sends away for a bride for him. When Daisy arrives she is surprised to find out she is married to a cyborg, who knows nothing about her becoming his wife by proxy.
While Daisy, Billy and Jonah are all likeable the story itself was fairly predictable. Daisy was running from something and we knew it would show up in typical bad guy fashion at a point in the story. There were some touching moments in the story and parts that made you smile but like I stated earlier this felt like a western with cyborgs instead of cowboys and a little lady that needed rescuing.
