Grimalkin Academy: Catacombs is a fantasy/paranormal academy series with a slow burn low heat reverse harem romance.
Grimalkin Acadmey: Catacombs: The Complete Trilogy by Laura Greenwood is an amazing box set that I have had the privilege to read. I loved reading this amazing box set and can not wait to see what else this amazing author will write about. I highly recommend this amazing box set to everyone who loves reading about magic, fantasy and paranormal romances.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This box set includes books one through three and the prequel is a gift provided by the author for anyone who subscribes to her newsletter.
I think I missed a whole series that I needed to read before this one. Too much was assumed to be known about Mona, her magic, and her love life. My advice: Read Grimalkin Academy: Kittens before picking up Grimalkin Academy: Catacombs (then Grimalkin Academy: Stakes). There, now you have them in the right order.
Here’s what you need to know. This is a witch’s and vampires academy – think college-aged students. It’s more British than American. Though the girls are getting involved in reverse harem romances, these are clean romance books – kissing only, and really very little of that. This is sweet and I nearly innocent.
I love that Daphne stands up to the bullies! We need more of that in the world. She may second guess herself afterwards, but she doesn’t back down. I think she’d do it again if she did think about it again. In fact she ends up doing a lot of standing up for herself. This is a book of positivity along with the magic and sweet romance.
I hope I get a chance to pick up Grimalkin Academy: Kittens and find out what I missed. Laura Greenwood is becoming one of my go-to authors!

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
This trilogy is about twins Daphne and Ryan and their first year at the Academy where they are learning how to be witches and warlocks. From fighting ancient spells, having trouble with the spell and more there’s a lot going on in this fantastic series. Great writing, well developed characters and a story that had me captivated from the first book till the last this trilogy is well worth the read. I have read and reviewed each book on its own but getting them all in one set is even better.
This is Daphne’s story as she searches for an old family spell in the Catacombs of Grimalkin Academy, falls in love, and gets up to other mischief in the complete Grimalkin Academy: Catacombs Trilogy. This trilogy includes: Catching A Vampire, Catching A Wizard, and Catching A Warlock. Below is a review of one of the books to give you an idea of what to expect.
*** Reviewing “CATCHING A VAMPIRE” ***
Daphne Chambers and her twin brother, Ryan, started attending Grimalkin Academy to give them the opportunity of finding an old family spell hidden there that, according to legend, will allow a Chambers’ member to turn into a cat. Her brother thinks the spell will be found somewhere in the vampire library down in the catacombs, which is off-limits. Ryan figures that if she gets cozy with a vampire, she’ll be able to access their library and convinces her to give it a try. However, she doesn’t expect to actually fall for the vampire she chooses from class. Heath is a genuinely nice guy! And there are two other guys from her past who would also like her attention. Things keep getting more complicated and stressful. And why does Miss Feathertop keep giving her a hard time?
This is a very enjoyable start of this excellent trilogy, the humorous antics keeping it intriguing and fun as the characters interact. The reader can see from the start that this will be a fun-filled adventure if Daphne can make it through the first semester! Grab the set and enjoy the craziness!
Great collection of the trilogy. It’s a reverse harem with magic, suspense, danger, sexiness, and even some funny moments. I couldn’t put this down.

This is the complete set of three stories in this Grimalkin Academy series. This is the one where our heroine might turn into a cat, not to be confused with the other series at the academy where every time the character casts a spell, cats appear. The two story lines are related, but it is not necessary to read the other one to enjoy this one.
This is a young adult paranormal series that also has a reverse harem theme. The story is well written and easy to read with a plot that is easy to follow, yet has several unexpected surprises along the way. The characters are well developed providing a diverse cast to work with. And with the complete series here in one place, you have everything you need for a nice weekend read.
Highly recommended.

Daphne is a young witch, who goes to Grimalkin Academy with her twin brother. They are not only trying to get an education, but also try to find a spell that will unlock an ability in her family to shift into a cat. On their way of finding the right spell they meet new friends. Especially Daphne finds 3 other paranormals who will complement her and are her soul mates.
This boxed set is their story and the ups and downs of their first year in their relationship, including jealous fellow students and their own insecurities.
A fun read, quite entertaining and quite unpredictable.

These are all short reads that I’m sure you will enjoy reading each short story about Mona’s problems. If you would like to read each of my reviews, please go to each book where I have posted them. I would love to have all them kitten’s and of course the men.

This was a cute, short read, and not what I expected. I enjoyed reading about Daphne’s adventures and her 3 boyfriends(ish?). I wouldn’t consider this a reverse harem book though… especially since she only kissed one of them. I would also consider this VERY PG …. like ages 13+.
I was a bit confused and felt like there were huge chunks of the story missing from book 1 to book 2… like ummmm what happened to her roomie and how did she end up with not only Daphne’s brother Ryan as a boyfriend but also 2 more???? And the kittens? Where the heck did they come from??
Regardless, I did enjoy the book.
I recieved an ARC for my honest review.
I took one star off right away because these novellas are not stand-alone by any means. Luckily I was given a portmanteau volume of the entire series, which contains closure. There are tie-ins to roomie Mona’s series, the Grimalkin Academy Kittens, which sometimes appear as loose plot lines, but not enough to be annoying. I wouldn’t read those because there are six rather than three, not tolerable for a multi-volume arc that habitually leaves readers hanging.
Daphne is an extraordinary gifted young magic user, fulfilling her lifelong dream of studying at Grimalkin Academy, along with her twin brother, who is less of an intellectual and more of a schemer. Brother Ryan persuades her to help him locate an ancestral grimoire in a subterranean library section of the Academy used only by the Vampires these days, by befriending a Vampire of course. She accepts because she’s a naturally high achiever who actually enjoys adding night courses to her already full Witching course schedule; only in volume 2 does she snap at him to make his own Vampire friends. By then she’s already made a serious romance connection with Heath, a nocturnal hunk who’s eager to shed an arranged alliance with a Vampire girl.
Meanwhile her childhood best buddy shows up at the Academy grown into a handsome warlock, and her brother’s best friend Cade begins acting very jealous. And now Mona her roomie is developing a crush on Ryan just to keep things complicated. Daphne isn’t about to kick any of these lovely men out of her life, especially when it turns out she needs their help dealing with the family shifting spell– or is it a curse?
By series end, it’s obvious that the four of them make magic best as a team of loving allies. The heat levels are quite safe for youth, never going beyond a few enthusiastic kisses. One is left with a very pleasant feeling afterward.

This is a great boxed set with all the stories in one place! The characters are well developed and complex, the story line flows smoothly and the story world is believable! Everything you could ask for in a series all together. If you like reverse harem academy fantasy with a slow burn, you will love this box set!

ONE FANTASTIC SERIES!!!
Greedy gremlins! Laura hit the ground running with this brilliantly composed work of art, laying out the killer storylines and gripping plots, keeping you riveted and frozen to your seat, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Blurred lines and crossed boundaries, expectations are weighed and balanced, flinging this lil’ fella forward without a hitch, booting it into overdrive, blasting it into a hissy with a life-altering realization. Shenanigans, escapades and mayhem rule the roost displaying the drama, turmoil, unnerving, intrigue, spiraling suspense and nail-biting situations, along with a double dose of moxie and intellect, you have one intoxicating masterpiece. Quirky mishaps and startling circumstances swirl with the formidable trials and taxing tribulations, spinning alongside the stunning twists and wicked turns, putting our characters through their paces, testing them in ways they could have never imagined. Braided, bound and entangled, showcasing the explosive ups and agonizing downs, grounding in its strength and awe-inspiring in its depth, blowing this baby wide open. The characters, banter, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely charismatic personalities. The scenes are so graphically descriptive you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play out perfectly. Fantastic job Laura, thanks for sharing this little bundle with us.
The story lines were good, the character work was great, and the books all had a fairly smooth flow to them. This was a great boxed set, I liked the convenience of having all the books in one collection.

Always great to find a new writer who writes books you like to read.
And even better when you can the three books in this series after each other so you read what is happening next, because of course you want to know that.
Daphne is in her first year at the Grimalkin academy. She is a witch and she had a roommate named Mona (who some how lost her magic powers) a twin brother who is there too, with his friend Cade.
Next to it her old school friend Bradley shows up too.
Daphne and her brother are from a family who should be able to shift into a cat. But they can’t.
Ryan found out there should be a book about how to do it in the vampire library, all they need is a vampire to get in there.
So Daphne follows an evening class and things get complicated. First she likes the class, but even more she likes the hot vampire Heath too. And she doesn’t want to use him. But there is an evil female vampire who thinks Heath is hers and she doesn’t like Daphne at all.
Next to the mission, Daphne finds out Bradley has still feelings for her and Cade has them too. How can she choose between those three hot men? Or doesn’t she has to choose?
A story with magic, humor, love, trust, family, helping each other, action and an evil woman on a mission to get Daphne out of the way.
I liked a lot and I am certainly going to read more from this writer.
