When the year started, I had one goal—make my AP classes count and keep my grades up. Both my focus and my grades started wobbling. Dating my best friends came with perks like hugs, kisses, and invitations to dances, but it also came with cons in the form of vindictive posts, hate mail, and vandalism of my car.
I asked if it could get any worse, and I guess I got my answer.
My college essays … suck.
My mother and I are racing toward a collision.
My secret admirer might turn out to be a real friend.
My dance partner wants to walk away to preserve our friendship.
My best friend demanded I keep no more secrets.
My first offered to move in with me.
My second… he’s got my back.
They all do.
But what brought us together seems to be tearing us apart and I can’t jeopardize those friendships.
I won’t.
I thought losing them was the worst thing, but losing even one… it might be the change we can’t survive.
The real key here isn’t what do I want… it’s am I willing to fight for it?
P.S. I still need to get a damn dress.
*Please note this is a reverse harem and the author suggests you always read the forward in her books. This is the third in a series and the story will continue through future books.

This book keeps getting better. Frankie and the guys are all amazing. Except for Ian in this book. He is annoying. I love that with this series you laugh and cry with the characters. The book is written amazingly and you hurt when the characters hurt. You feel ALL of the emotions. This series seems kind of slow moving because a lot of time isn’t passing but there is a lot of emotional stuff going on in Frankie’s life as well as Ian, Jake, Coop and Archie’s. This series is really flying by for me because I am having the hardest time putting it down.
There was a lot going on in this book, some of it was super sweet and some make you want to wrap Frankie up in bubble wrap.
Keys and Kisses is a story of more change in Frankie’s life. She’s dealing with her senior year in high school and all the angst that entails. She is dealing with Ian’s perceived defection and all the crap with her mother and Archie’s dad. Then there is the prom. All Frankie wants is to be normal for a change or as normal as a girl with three and a half boyfriends can be. This book will make you laugh, cry and scream out loud. Join Frankie and her guys as they ride this rollercoaster.
I really have enjoyed this next installment in this story about Frankie and her guy friends/boyfriends. Sometimes it’s hard to read because of the angst and building tension. You want to yell at the guys to get their act together but at the same time it keeps you reading because you get so wrapped up in the storyline that they seem like real people who’s lives you are watching unfold. Can’t wait for the next installment. The storyline pulls you right in and you have to see what happens next.
Frankie is trying to juggle her relationships with the guys, studying, and preparing for homecoming. Frank’s is really starting to stand up for herself. I really liked AIan in the previous books, but there were times I wanted to shake some sense into him. Jake and Coop really shines in this book. Some tough stuff gets thrown at Frankie at the end of this book. I liked that we get to see her building friendships with a couple girls – Rachel is awesome. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
In this one we go deeper into the series with Frankie and the guys. Easy to slip into this one unfolding with dilemma’s of life for as she knows it. Drama and decisions things that always seem to go together go in this one. Touch of humor that was just right so can anyone help her out with that dress? The characters do know how to wrap around us involving us in this one. Oh and how about those kisses?
As I’ve said with previous parts of this story, you really need to read all of them, in order, to “get” these characters. Also, I can’t give away any spoilers or plot points because you really need to read and understand for yourself. Once again, we have Coop, Jake, Ian, Archie and Frankie only this time (to me) they are finally working on understanding their new ‘dynamic’ and relationship(s). They were all best friends but now? They have a four-sided relationship that I believe would be hard for seasoned adults to handle, let alone 17- and 18-year-old’s. I will also add that sometimes your heart will hurt for them.
What I took away from Keys and Kisses: each of these young people are finally understanding what a relationship between the five of them really, and truly, means. In the last book, they thought things would be easy however, as life is never that simple… I thought Frankie was a bit too much and in her own head but hey! She’s young and feels she has a right to be greedy, for lack of a better word. The guys are also going thru some tough decisions and each one has their own story and set of “issues” to work thru in order to be with Frankie. Sometimes it is easy for them; other times? It almost broke me.
The adults in the story made me, once again, kinda crazy. Even when they were trying to be helpful, I think they could have made better choices. Then again, the story wouldn’t have been the same. Lots of angst, lots of choices and decisions for all of them as they go thru their senior year of high school. I’m looking forward to reading how their lives all work out…or not. Good read!
This book had me in tears so many times. There is so much emotion. So much love and heartbreak and even a little grief. Things aren’t going so well with Ian and Frankie, while things are steaming up big time for some of the others. Heather makes you feel like you are kissing Coop yourself through her writing. She does an absolutely amazing job with this book. All of the guys are really growing on me more then I thought possible. Her mom screws up even more and I’m anxious about the fall out. I can’t wait for the next book.
This book starts right where we left off in the last one, so if you haven’t read the others yet, stop now and go read them in order.
Shopping with Cheryl was definitely an experience for Frankie and Coop. I’m pretty sure he was wondering what the hell he had gotten himself into by the time they hit the changing rooms with 27 dresses…The whole first chapter was my favorite and had me giggling.
There’s a lot going on on this book as the situation with Ian changes to the point where Frankie makes some decisions. Lots of fighting among the guys and the reasons become clear eventually.
I Love Rachel! She is becoming the best friend ever. Her snark brings lots of laughter and her wisdom some peace.
Sharon’s at it again but Frankie isn’t taking it anymore, I can’t say more about this except it’s awesome.
Coop’s birthday has more than one surprise.
Homecoming is in this book and I absolutely loved the girls, Cheryl and even Marie have some things to share with Frankie.
The guys made me laugh, cry, laugh and cry some more.
But Frankie she has my heart, her mother doesn’t deserve to have a daughter like her. She goes through many different things in this book and the emotions fly up and down like a roller-coaster.
I really can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Frankie and the boys are back! It’s almost Homecoming but Ian(Bubba) is struggling with the way he thinks the boys are putting pressure on Frankie. He doesn’t mind sharing her with them but he just doesn’t want her to think they are her only choice.
Frankie’s trying to find a dress for the dance (which she’s not sure she even still has a date for). There are more wild disclosures over the boys antics during the summer whilst she was in hiding and her world is about to come crashing down around her once more.
The sexier scenes are very age appropriate for high schoolers and very sweet too. Think cocky teenage boys arrogance and bumbling performance, LOL.
All the boys have a “talent” and relate to a facet of Frankie. But Frankie has other serious problems coming and I must admit I thought to myself “This girl cannot catch a break!” Cheryl and Rachel provide some much needed female perspectives and give her a wider circle of friends.
I love the text conversations sprinkled throughout! Very now and very teenage!
I don’t want to ruin the story but if you have issues with Sexual Assault you may want to skip a few pages.
Keys and Kisses (Untouchable Book 3) Kindle Edition
by Heather Long
Thanks to Heather Long for the complimentary eARC. I’m choosing to leave a fair and honest review.
We rejoin Frankie and her men in the week before Homecoming and Ian(Bubba) has pushed her away and we don’t know why. She is also in search of a dress and is about to hear some distressing news about what her boys were up to last summer.
The story unfolds, but there isn’t much tension for most of the book as we know why Bubba pulled away and the real reveal buried a little past the middle comes a bit too late. The layers of problems that our Herione.
The steam scenes while hot are very well done and realistic for seniors in high school. There is a certain fumbling sexiness in it. The boys still have that cocky confidence that comes with being a senior in high school – 18 but still young enough to live at home.
I do love Ms. Long’s characters. The boys are sexy, smart and terribly flawed like people in real life instead of people in a book. Frankie is strong enough to be weak when she needs to. And the other girls live! There are shunned Queen Bees, feisty friends and wounded birds, and maybe a devious brat!
The story is told mostly from Frankie’s first person view, giving us both more information and less information. Thankfully, we do have the boys first person POV every once in a while. Also, Ms. Long makes use of the convention of text conversations.
This is a great book with a timely message.
