Can She Risk Giving Him A Second Chance?
Regret. Shame. Hope.
These are the powerful feelings Daniel King, Army Ranger, decorated war hero, amputee, and now CEO of King Security, grapples with as he returns to his hometown.
Pregnant, and deserted by her child’s father, Siobhan Scott faced the scorn of the town at sixteen and finished her last year of schooling with a baby at her breast.
Now … year of schooling with a baby at her breast.
Now her high school sweetheart is back in town, wanting … forgiveness?
“Oh, hell to the no,” cries the fiery Texan woman. And then, one emotion-laden night, they give in to the strong pull of desire, resulting in a rather delicate situation they need to deal with.
But will they do it together, or will Daniel, once again, turn tail and leave a trail of red Texas dust in his wake?

As a teenager Daniel finds out some devastating information and leaves town abandoning his pregnant girlfriend, Siobhan. He returns 17 years later. After they have both experienced so much pain can they ever find their way back to each other? What unfolds is a beautiful second chance romance! A journey of emotions, regrettable decisions, shame, hope, redemption and a determination to heal the wounds of the past. A leisurely love story that never bores. I love that Siobhan had a life when Daniel left – supportive parents, college, career, a husband and family. So many multi-layered characters, I will be reading the other books connected with the Lawson family! 5 stars.

I really liked how you kept switching who’s side you were leaning to depending on what was happening, I totally got Siobhan and Dax being taken aback and angry about Daniel turning up back home and after so many years, but when you look at what Daniel went through you feel sorry for him too. The more we learn about Daniel as well as Siobhan the more you just want to wrap them up in a big hug as they have both been through so much and you will laugh, cry, cringe, want to shake sense into them and hope that their love for each other is stronger than the time apart and heartache caused by young minds and unwitting mistakes. I will be going back and reading the first two books available in this series now as I am hooked!

At first I didn’t want to complete this book because there was a lot of overlap and back story that existed. I’m glad I stuck it out to the end because this story was nuanced. It was a second chance, forgiveness of mistakes and a find your way back to love story. I would suggest reading the first book first as the overlap without context was distracting. I enjoyed the characters flawed though they were. The story is relatable and a good read.
The second book in the Texas Solace series and the first book by this Author that I have read. I now want to read the other books in this series. This is Daniel King, Army Ranger and Siobhan Scott’s second chance, and their son’s story. He left her when she was expecting Dax eighteen years ago. These two had a lot to get past, in a way I understand why he left without a goodbye to anyone back then. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I found this book to be a very enjoyable read with the well written storyline and well defined characters that kept me turning the pages until the very last page!
The second book in the Texas Solace series brings Daniel and Siohhan’s story. The author does an incredible job bringing a gut wrenching story with a realistic feel. She had me glued to the pages with all the secrets, twists and emotions flowing through the pages. It’s well written, moves fluidly and is a powerful romance. I loved this book and am looking forward to the next book.

The book is a good small town romance read. The story has a good story line, and the story is a well written read. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable, and emotional roller coaster romance read.

This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Nicole Ann Nielsen; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

Oh my. I really love the world this series exists in. The characters are delightful and so real I just fell under their spell, they sucked me in and held me right all the well through. And Daniel, wow. He is such a special man. I love he way that he is and how he handles everything. I love this story so very much, it took me through all the emotions. The way this book intertwines with the first book is so lovely without repeating too much of what has happened. Such an enjoyable book.
This is the 2nd book in this series and is Siobhan and Daniels’ story. This is a well written tale which is raw, gritty, an emotional roller coaster, and an intense all-consuming story which had me intrigued and hooked throughout. I highly recommend for all readers.
I enjoyed this book. It’s very well written, has wonderful characters and a great storyline. It’s raw, emotional and intense and makes for a great read.
4 star review Echo of Love (Texas Solace #2) by Nicole Ann Nielsen
Daniel King and Siobhan Lawson have history but can they put the past behind them and find happiness and a future together? He walked away once, what’s stopping him from doing it again?
This was a well written second chance at love story with angst and was at times an emotional read. Siobhan and Dax are angry when they learn that Daniel has returned home seeking forgiveness. What happens when the truth is revealed? Can Daniel get the forgiveness he so desperately wants?
One click and find out.
He ran and never looked back.
And I had a major problem with that. Daniel ran like a wuss 17 years ago, leaving a barely sixteen year old girl pregnant. Yep. She had to raise their kid all on her own when she was a kid herself. That’s unforgivable. Period.
Daniel felt like he was an emotional mess who never grew up and never atoned for his behavior. You can sprinkle on fake drama as to why he ran but he lacks character I want in a lead.
That said, I liked Dax and I liked Siobhan and she needed a true partner.
And the book was well written. Daniel is just a cop out.
