Intriguing Murder Mystery. Great characters, well woven story, just enough psycho and gore. Found it refreshing that the author inserted just a lite skirting of romance … where often in other books romance overshadows the balance of the mystery’s story line.
Very much enjoyed this book.
It started back in Dominique’s college days. She has high expectations of herself, a crush on her mentor, and a fun-loving friend. Until the nightmares. Murder and fear take the place of what should be some of the best times of their lives. All they can do is take care of each other and get through it. Grow through it.
Fast forward. Dominique has become a profiler with the FBI. Her friend is with the police. They meet up under the most horrible circumstances. Once again, the killer who was never caught years ago is back. Now they have the training, but will it be enough?
This isn’t a story to take lightly. We know there are such things as serial killers. Not many are women, though. Not the best way to break through the glass ceiling. It takes fighting through the fear and the nightmares of the past and trying to be smarter than someone who seems impossible to catch. This is the first time I have read a book, a thriller, that follows the thinking processes of a profiler. Somewhere toward the later chapters, you will also follow the mind of a budding killer. I was left with a couple of questions, but will not state them here as I’m sure the next in the series will attempt to answer them for me. I highly recommend this book and enjoyed the honest way the author presents their characters and their actions.
I don’t want to comment and give anything away. I’ll just say “Fascinating”. Just Fascinating”
Gruesome … but had to keep reading!
It had enough for me to want to finish it but it went into a lot of detail for me, I wanted it to get on with the meat of the story.
I enjoyed the suspense. It built with twists to keep you reading. I read more by this author.
I prefer stand alone books. It had an ending but unfinished.
I enjoyed the book but wish it had less of some wording.
Good read.
It was a very good plot and kept me interested. But it is hard to recommend a book when I honestly didn’t really care for the main character.
The author’s description of each murder caused me to feel the murderers’ cold words, unfeeling heart and dark soul.
I enjoyed this book. It was a good thriller and kept you guessing with some surprises.
It was an interesting storyline which interested me throughout the book.
This author’s muse is on steroids! It is a must read; twisted but very original. You won’t be able to put it down.
Grim and excellent mystery
There are two women in the story and both of them are trying to find a serial killer who had been killing people when the two women had been in university. Now, many years later the killer strikes again and the women are trying to find the killer before it is too late.
The story was grim and the plot was excellent. The multi-layered plot was enjoyable and it was almost impossible to guess the killer.
Enjoyed it.
