Zev Petersen and Tillie Fisher used to be inseparable. But when an unspeakable tragedy brings them together in a way they never imagined, it changes everything about their close relationship. Suddenly, the heat of the Arizona desert feels like the arctic tundra. Tillie is crushed to learn she’s lost her best friend. Zev is consumed with guilt over his actions. Time passes, but their wounds don’t … passes, but their wounds don’t heal. To recover and mend their hearts, Tillie and Zev are going to have to talk about it.
And when they do, they might just realize they were always meant to be.

Meant To Be . . . sigh, just from the synopsis, I knew drama and sadness were coming and parts of this story were simply heart wrenching.
I loved that Zev and Tillie’s relationship started way back when they were children and that it lasted for so very long. As much as it evolved, it also stayed the same and was a constant for both of them until they needed it most (enter the heartbreak).
Zev was loyal to a fault, so much so that he won’t even consider taking for himself what his brother may want, even if it means never having what he wants most out of life. And Tillie, while she loved both brothers, only one truly held the key to her heart.
Meant to Be was a study in learning to live and love again after loss. It deals with the guilt of feeling happy when you don’t feel that you should be, which really resonated with me. It was a beautiful story whose characters were really put through the wringer, but who also come out stronger on the other side leaving readers with feelings of hope and happiness. 4.5 stars.
I seriously read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down! I cried, I smiled, I laughed, I felt all the feels. Don’t pass this book up
Awesome book. I love this series Altho it’s individual books the theme is there to connect the books. I loved hearing the name Blackman board in this one too! For those of you who’ve read this authors earlier books will recognise this reference and get a little thrill at the reminder. This book had so much packed into it it’s hard to know where to start. It was a slow burn type of story and wow what a heartbreaking storyline. I was expecting something to happen but wow that broke my heart totally. After that the story manages to put you back together again albeit with a heavy heart for a while. As you keep reading you’re pulled into the lives of these characters in a way that makes you smile and just want to keep on reading. Once I started this book I couldn’t stop reading.
What a heartbreaking but absolutely beautiful story! Young love takes many turns along the way, but in the end love prevails! This book was heartwarming and wonderful!
Wow, what a emotional story. I couldn’t put it down once started. It was such a heart wrenching story with love.
I loved Zev and Tillie together, they have known each other for years. And they finally get their act together.
I loved how they all grew up Tillie, Zev and Liam were inseparable.
I can’t wait for more.
Get your tissues ready! This story was so good! But is absolutely heart wrenching. The story of Zev and Tillie is amazing. I love a good friends to lover romance. This one was written extremely well. It pulls at your heart strings in so many ways. Your going to laugh, and cry all in one chapter. So be ready for a roller coaster ride in this one!
This story took an entirely new path that others in this series hadn’t trotted down, and maybe that’s why it’s so easy to devour new books from this author. She manages to find new ways to keep my interest while maybe tearing me apart just a little bit before her HEA each time.
Tillie and Zev aren’t strangers, but they may as well be for all the awareness they have about each other’s true feelings. It takes an awful tragedy to force them to confront all that they’ve hidden from themselves and others, and boy is there painful self-reflection, angst, and sadness ahead! But as I’ve come to expect, I wasn’t let down or left to wallow in Tillie’s and Zev’s misery for too long. Then finding out that the waiting for perfect wasn’t one-sided? Oh, that was spectacular! Especially because it’s so rare to find a story that does this type of thing so well. And that epilogue! Oh, if Tillie’s and Zev’s road to happy wasn’t enough, the glimpse into what lies ahead for them will bring a tear to your eye while making you feel all the good feelings.
Yet again, I shall attempt to patiently wait to see what comes next from this author’s mind.
