The King of Iron Hearts
Is a fable now
A tale they tell children
About a man made of metal
Whose heart burned so boldly
It melted him from the inside out
This is a book about a man who feels too much and the woman who loves him. Divided into four parts, it explores the journey he takes from a young man with a wild, restless soul that yearns for something more to the wise man who understands the … understands the intricacies of love and loss. The last section shifts to the point of view of his woman to witness their love story from both angles.
This can be read as a stand-alone book of poetry, but it does tie into Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men, #1) and After the Fall (The Fallen Men, #4), two books in a series of stand-alone romance novels.

I don’t know how it’s possible to fall even more in love with King Garro, but I did. While reading Lessons in Corruption I wished I could read all the poems King wrote to Cress, and I finally got my wish. This collection of poems were absolutely breathtaking and beautiful.
King of Iron Hearts was filled with raw intense emotion. I felt it in my bones what King was feeling through his words. His love for Cressida is limitless—it transcends time. Their love is beyond anything imaginable. And King’s poems were only a fraction of the love he has for Cress. What can I say? King Garro, the poetry biker sank deeper and deeper into my heart.
5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend this read!!
Mannnnnn. I think I’d read the phone book of Giana wrote it!
This is a sweet tale of poetry. In the fallen world…
If I could, i would so live in The Fallen land..
Sooooo excited about the next one up as well!
Oh my goodness, what an absolutely stunning book.
We all know giana could write anything and it would be fantastic, however poetry is so different and she nailed it as we knew she would.
Giana has a stunning way of words and they moved me so much that i was completly lost reading these deep passionately written poems.
I give this book an amazing 5 stars. Giana is the bomb. I am so excited for more of our beautiful King.
It is extremely rare an author will put out a book of poetry that is attached to a book or series, well at least out of all of the books I have read. It was fantastic to see what King was writing when you know if you have read Lesson’s in Corruption as to what was going on in his mind.
This was a quick read and was a perfect complement for this series. Although all of Giana’s books are like poetry for me.
This book of poetry was beautifully written and such a joy to read. I was a Literature student, so I love reading poetry, and this is definitely within my top ten. From steamy to bewitching to tear jerking, I enjoyed every line and every drawing that portrayed the love between King Kyle Garro and Cressida Irons (soon to be Garro 😉 ). Amazing job Giana! I loved it so much and look forward to reading After the Fall!!
Breathtakingly beautiful, yet another amazing read from this incredibly talented author. I’m a HUGE FAN of The Fallen Men Series by Giana Darling, but had no idea she could also write poetry. The book overwhelmed me with emotion, leaping off the pages and into my heart. King Garro is one of my favorites of the Fallen Men and this book gives the reader a deep insight into his soul. It’s enticing and captivating, and I couldn’t get enough. I’ll admit I’m not much for poetry, but King of Iron Hearts melted mine! Don’t miss it!
Such a beautiful collection of poems! I devour anything written by this author and this was no different! I highly recommend!
King of Iron Hearts is a book of Poetry composed by King and I loved it. If you read Giana Darling’s Fallen Men series you could see some of the characters reflected in the poetry and you will be amazed. These poems are well-written and deeply emotional but dark and dangerous too and it will give you all the feels. I really enjoyed this novel as it gives the reader a different perspective to King. I would highly recommend it to all lovers of poetry.
I adored this wonderful book of poems. This was written as companion book to Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men, #1) and After the Fall (The Fallen Men, #4) and for readers of this series and those books it is like that extra dollop of whipped cream on your cocoa; a delightful treat. However, I feel that this book also stands very well on it’s own simply as a entertaining collection of moving poems about self, the world, friendship, family, pain, loss and love that can resonate with any reader.
I loved this! I have never sat down to read just poetry except in high school. It is just not what I read, but I really loved this book! King gave us another insight into his heart. I would definitely read more of this author’s poetry.
My favorites were No Prince Charming and Tree in the storm. Those made me think of my husband. I even sent some to him, and he loved those too.
King of Hearts will move you in ways you won’t expect. Some of the poems slam into with their power others creep up on you and engulf you in a wave of feeling. You’ll find yourself crying, laughing, smiling, aroused, angry, passionate and a hundred other emotions before your through. If you’ve read the Fallen Men series you’ll find deeper meaning to the stories you’ve read and the wonder at the stories to come. But you don’t need to have read the Fallen series for these words to resonate in your soul. This is an incredible 5 star read that everyone should try whether you’re a poetry lover or not.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A collection of poem, you see another side of this talented author. Here are just few that instantly connect with me.
” Sometimes there is a two-way mirror Between you And the rest. Every day, you watch the others live their lives Talk, laugh, and touch A unit A family An entire world But Behind the glass You are alone Always Acutely unseen.”
Devour it. This collection of poem isn’t something you read like wind blow.
Devour it cause they do speak to your heart.
“Family isn’t in the blood It’s the echo of each name That sounds with the beat of your heart.”
When I found out Giana was writing a book of poetry, I knew it’d be phenomenal. Her novels are already written as smooth and lovely as any poem.
This set of poems is such a MUST READ if you’re a Fallen Men fan. King’s perspective is such a treat to dive into and is fascinating to experience. The way he expresses himself and his family is captivating and almost hypnotic to read.
Only Giana can suck me so deep into her world with her writings. I’m so obsessed.
5 STARS
This was incredible. I knew Giana had a way with words. I mean she is a master at her craft but I didn’t know she wrote poetry. I am not a massive fan of poetry. I’ve read some amazing work, but it’s never grabbed hold me like I know it does to some people. HOWEVER, this book was a game-changer. I didn’t know what to expect going in, I knew Ms. Darlings writing is phenomenal, so I knew I would like it, but I completely lost myself in these poems. Each one held meaning and showed another side of The Fallen Men series. They were deep and held so much meaning, even the ones that were no longer than a few lines. King Garro was a massive favorite character of mine and it showed another side to him too. Honestly, it was beautiful and breathtaking but dark and dangerous too. It consumed me from the first poem through till the end. If you loved The Fallen Men Series, this is a must-read. Other readers will get so much out of this!
Amazing, Giana! Your talent is like no other. You mastered this flawlessly, and it was so amazing to read, the entire book took my breath away!
5 Stars!
King of Iron Hearts was a breath of fresh air. Everything I love and admire about Giana’s writing was present and how thought provocative it ended up being was just the icing. It’s not a surprise that we found her normal prose in each poem, and I’m so happy to see how King’s mind works too.
Breathtaking
For those familiar with King Garro will know all about his love of writing poems, this is a collection of his writings that he wrote for Cress and the Fallen Men and is an insight to his feeling for them. We also get to read Cressida’s thoughts through some of her writings at the end of the collection.
It didn’t take me long to finish this, I loved it and can’t wait to read more from the Fallen Men.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
