Trapped in a world of sin and sexy alpha angels.Forever defined by my black wings. My father, King of the Nora, sent me to Noir Reformatory to atone for crimes I didn’t commit. So what’s a girl to do? Escape, obviously.Except I need allies to accomplish that feat and no one wants anything to do with King Sefid’s daughter. If anything, my claim to the throne has only made running that much harder, … only made running that much harder, and worse, I’m stuck with two hot angels standing in my way.
Auric is my supposed guardian, his white wings marking him as my superior in this deadly playground. Only, I’m his princess and I refuse to bow to a warrior like him.
And Novak, the notorious Prison King, is hell-bent on teaching me my place. Which he seems to think is beneath him. In his bed.
This prison resembles a training camp for soldiers more than a reformatory for the Fallen. I suspect something nefarious is at play here, but of course, no one believes me. I’m the guilty princess with black wings. Well, I’ll prove them all wrong. I just hope it isn’t too late.
My name is Princess Layla.
I’m innocent.
And I do not accept this fate.
Note: Noir Reformatory is a dark fantasy ménage romance spanning six novels. There will be cliffhangers, adult situations, violence, and MM/MF/MMF content.

Lethality oozed off him. Danger lurked in his icy irises. But as he lifted those beautiful eyes to mine once more, I felt at peace.
Flames billowed behind him, framing his sharp features in delicate shadows that should have made him all the more terrifying. Yet all they did was intensify his exquisite features.
He lifted a single finger to trail a line down my cheek to my throat and then to my collarbone. Goose bumps followed his touch, my lips parting on a necessary gasp to draw more air into my lungs.
And his scent.
Leather and blood and man.
Oh gods…
My thighs clenched and his nostrils flared.
Then a blade appeared on his wrist, followed by Auric’s snarl. “Remove your hand, Novak. Or I’ll cut it off.”
My throat went dry at the possessiveness in his tone.
Novak glanced at him, his lips curling up at one side into an expression of mild amusement. Then he dropped his hand to his side and took a step backward to survey the yard.
“Game over,” he murmured before turning away without a backward glance, his steps sure as he maneuvered with ease around the graveyard of fallen Noir.

The concept of a fallen angel prison intrigued me. At first, I was confused. This book started off reminding me of Omegaverse books(contains characters who act as Alpha males, Beta males, etc, and contains mm scenes), which I’m not usually into. But this turned around and became something different, something I’ve never heard of or read before. I’m really excited to read more!!!
Story : 4/5 it took a while to really hook me, be I can see the set up in hindsight
Heat : 5/5 the sexual tension is high, even before any sex happens.
Cliffhanger : 4/5 great ending, I’m officially needing the next book!!
Welcome to Noir Reformatory – where angels wear black in the most intimate of ways.
Lexi and Jenn have done it again, proving once again that they are a duo to be reckoned with in the why choose world. The seamless transition between authors shows the true understanding between these two, and the clear creative balance is impressive to say the least.
In this novel we return to the Noir Reformatory, where fallen angels come to live out their penance for their alleged sins. While this is technically a sequel, you do not need to read the first to make it through this without issue – but why not start with the original with its amazing repertoire of alpha males and a cunningly beautiful woman with skills of her own?
First Offense comes into its own early, and held me gripped to the end. The MMF dynamic is intense, and not by any means uncomfortable and awkward, thanks very much to the MM relationship. This is one of the greatest things about Lexi and Jenn’s works: their males and their relationships make menage and RH not just bearable for someone like me who loves a true love dynamic, but very much a thrilling escape from reality.
Our Hs are both powerful characters in their own rights, and the changing POVs throughout the novel make it possible to truly understand their motivations, feelings and desires. As for our h, she is a dynamic character with a backstory that is actually interesting. While there is plenty of heat, this novel doesn’t just rely on physical relations to fill in plot gaps.
Overall, this is definitely a book worth the pickup. It’s exciting, sexy, and entirely its own beast with a great pair of authors who make it truly come alive.
**I was given an advance copy in exchange for my honest feedback. This review and the opinions contained within are entirely my own.**
I really enjoyed this book a lot. I am absolutely in love with these characters and the storyline/ world this is written in. The authors did a great job keeping my attention with this. So, so good. Can not wait for more.
As always this is freaking amazing! Like is there anything these two can’t do. Front the beginning you’re sucked back into the madness of yet another Lexi and JR world. The writing is captivating as expected. The characters are complex, relatable (to an extent, you know what I mean) and oh so entertaining.
All in all. Give me more! Ha ha! Just kidding. But not really
Just when I thought I had this world figured out, along came the twists that blew my mind. The characters made me fall in love with them, and the ending made me wonder when the next book was coming out. Novak is one of the most interesting characters that I have read in a long time, but Auric is also a new book boyfriend for me. Layla grows a lot, from a sheltered Princess into a future Queen, and it’s wonderful to watch. There’s never a dull moment in this book, and by the time I was done, my brain was spinning with all of the possibilities. I cannot recommend this series enough!!!
Whenever these authors get together you know that something magical is about to happen. They did it the first book, aptly named Noir Reformatory and they have smashed it again in this.
There’s nothing not to love when they work together!
So back to First Offense….
Firstly, what’s different than NR? Well for starters we have new characters.
I fell in love with Novak in the first book and I’m still in love with him now…and now we have Layla and Auric added to the mix and they ain’t too bad either!
Secondly the world building. Okay, we still begin at Nightmare Penitentiary, which, if you’ve read the first book you will know that it is one of the dirtiest, crudest, darkest and most sadistic prison systems of this world. However, throughout the book, things happen and scenery changes and as usual, I am left in awe about how these two author’s imaginations can explode onto the pages. You think you’ve read it all and then you’re like “what the actual F is going on?”
Absolutely adored this book this world and the characters that reside in them and I cannot wait for the next book. More Novak to feast on and that can’t be a bad thing!
It’s the First Offence
If you want to start reading this series, I would highly recommend Noir Reformatory: the beginning as it really sets the story up beautifully and when you enter this world again, you already have a slight understanding of what’s going on
First Offence is finally here and it’s pure magicLayla is heir to the throne when she suddenly finds herself Fallen and Auric is her assigned protector whilst she undergoes reformation…but nothing is as it seems An action packed mystery that is unraveling slowly and getting me more excited as I write this review as I think one puzzle piece has just clicked into place other than what the authors have revealed
I received an advanced copy and I willingly leave my honest review
What an utterly delicious read!!! Layla is an angel princess about to get a rude awakening. Suddenly spurned by her father the king, and angelkind as her wings turned black overnight. She’s now thrust into a new world, one she’d never before imagined even within her nightmares. Sink or swim has never been more real. This book is filled with tons of action, mystery, surprises, and heat. It does end with a doozy of a cliffhanger so prepare yourself. I loved the character development and the intrigue factor here…I.honestly cannot wait to see what’s up next. Book one definitely did a wonderful job of laying the foundation of this story….I for one look forward to seeing it play out.
Another awesome story from Lexi and J.R. Thorn! These two have amazing talent and when they write together it just explodes!
Layla is the princess but ends up in Noir Reformatory for reasons unknown. Auric is tasked with guarding her and is disgusted by the fact Layla sinned and ended up with black wings. Novak is just super yummy and it seems like him and Auric have a background.
Loved the book and highly recommend it 😉
