She’s his brother’s nanny…and totally off-limits.
In an effort to escape her overprotective mother, Cassie moves to Tampa to decide her future and claim her independence. When she lands a job as a live-in nanny to adorable twin infants, she’s convinced she’s on the right track.
Until she meets her new roommate: Tom. He’s an off-the-charts gorgeous neurologist (are they even allowed to be that … allowed to be that sexy?) and also her aunt’s best friend. There are way too many points of contact for them to take the risk…but Cassie can’t help but fantasize what contact with him would feel like.
Tom knows the stakes, but Cassie’s vibrant spirit strikes a chord in his heart and he can’t stay away. But just when they start to think they’re moving in sync, the unthinkable happens. Did taking the risk create a chasm too wide to bridge?
**Risky Move is a standalone book in the Tampa Suns Hockey series. This sweet and spicy full-length novel can be read on its own—no cliffhanger, no cheating and a guaranteed Happily Ever After.

All about Cassie and Tom!
Cassie Johnson wasn’t ready for college so she took a gap year to work for friends of her sister as a nanny and be near her sister and brother-in-law. Cassie met Dr. Tom Chadwick when he came to pick her up at the airport since she was going to work for his brother and sister-in-law as their nanny. Cassie is going to use the year to decide what she wants to study in college.
Risky Move isn’t centered on hockey but centered on the relationship between Cassie and Tom. Overall I like the book but I did feel as if there were many points in the book where it could have ended and been a complete story but it felt really long to me.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love romance novels that give me the full picture. I love when the hero and heroine don’t jump right into bed with each other. With that said, while this book was decent it just was way to long. It kept dragging on and on. Cassie and Tom both felt the connection between the two of them. But instead of talking it out and seeing where it could go they put each other in the friend zone because of all the combination relationships. I kept waiting and waiting for something to happen. When they finally did decide to pursue a relationship I was so happy! That’s when I felt the story picked up. Though I will admit I still had my issues, especially after we hit the climax. Cassie and her complete self doubt bothered me. The fact that she willingness took all the blame, even when she saved him, bothered me. Amelie really bothered me. Cassie’s mother bothered me (especially as we see in the end she was happy for Cassie.) I would have loved to read about when Tom and Amanda finally met and that interaction. I just felt like there was so much that could have been skipped and so much that could have been elaborated on more. Please don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed this couple and getting to go on their love story with them. Tom was an amazing man and I especially loved how he stuck by Cassie’s side the whole time. I just wish it hadn’t dragged on so much. Real life has a tendency to drag on. I want to enjoy my escape in a story. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
Great story about a girl, Cassie, who moves to Tampa to be a nanny to her aunt’s friend and co worker. Not a bad job, she loves kids, but when Tom is sent to the airport to get her, she can’t believe her eyes, he’s a hottie! Tom is a neurologist and lives in the guest house at his brothers, and he’s here at the airport picking up his brothers new nanny, and she’s beautiful, and he’s attracted to her, but she’s the nanny, so she’s off limits…..or is she?
Follow along and watch their attraction grow, I enjoyed it. While it’s a long book, the chapters are short. 4 1/2 stars for this one!
I won a copy of this book from the author and was not required to give a favorable review. This is a beautiful story of a woman who is finding her way in the world and finds love in the process. Cassie needed to take her gap year after high school to decide what she wanted. Her dad supported her but her mom wasn’t so happy. They are divorced and her dad is remarried and she gets along with him, his wife and her half brother. So when the opportunity for her to move from Toronto to Tampa and work as a nanny for her aunts friends she jumps at it. She loves kids. Her aunt Lauren is dating a player for The Tampa Suns, and his teammate Andrew & his wife Caryn need the help with their twins. But what comes with Andrew is his brother Tom who is a Dr. Tom is the one picks up Cassie at the airport because Lauren & Caryn are working and couldn’t get away. Cassie loves her job, and is interested in Tom, and he is in her. But the holidays bring good things for them. Now that just have to figure out what they want.
I like the story line and plot(s) in the book but I thought there was to much vulgarity. I liked the fact it was a sports romance. Kept my interest. Will I read again. I might.
The book was so predictable. I thought the characters were egotistical. Wouldn’t recommend
I received this book for free but am voluntarily reviewing.
The storyline is a good one and not something I had read yet which made it more enjoyable. The last half felt a lot smoother in the writing. Everything came together in a really nice way. I even got to appreciate a few tears and fears along with the main character.
This is where my positivity ends.
The first 45% of this book felt very rushed and unexplained. Even the paragraphs were jumpy. It went from one scene to the next and I could compare it to whiplash. It would be beneficial to explain things a little better.
