I saved his life.
Now he’s invaded mine.
Two years ago, a split-second decision changed everything. I risked my life for a man I didn’t even know and nearly died for it.
I’ve tried to forget him. To forget that whole night.
But he hasn’t forgotten me.
He’s been watching.
Obsessing.
Craving.
And when he crashes back into my life like a wrecking ball, accompanied by two dark shadows—men he … back into my life like a wrecking ball, accompanied by two dark shadows—men he calls his brothers—the life I’ve been trying to rebuild for myself shatters into a thousand sharp-edged pieces.
He believes our souls are bound by blood, and he’s come back to claim what’s his.
Two years ago, I saved Marcus Constantine’s life.
Now I wish I hadn’t.

So much craziness. Loved the story. Ayla has so much grit and sass. But it’s all to protect her after everything she has survived. Marcus, ryland and Theo. Wow. She saves marcus’ life and still bears the scars from that night and now 2.5 years later she finds out they have been keeping tabs on her and watching her from afar. She is Marcus’ obsession. But you learn over the book it is the same for the others. It’s a slow burn for ryland, he seems to hate her when it’s that he hate she has dragged her into this crazy game they have been forced to participate in. Theo the laid back easy going one obviously not as slow a burn as ryland but only as so far as kissing. So it’s been primarily Marcus and all the steam. But this books sets up the RH for the next two. But omg what a cliffhanger. I can’t take it. Onto the next book now.
I can’t wait to read book two. This left me wanting more.
While I had a few issues with Ayla and wished more was mentioned about her trauma in foster care, I hope questions will be answered in the follow up.
I read the entire Ruthless Games series in two days and enjoyed this take on a RH. I loved the characters and the ending was perfect.
I really enjoyed this book! It’s definitely a great start to the series and I’m excited to see where the story goes! Around 90% in I was genuinely surprised about what was revealed and its rare a book is able to surprise me.
Ayla is a strong female lead and I really liked her attitude towards the situations she finds herself in.
The three H’s – Marcus, Theo and Ryland are mysterious for most of the book, especially when it comes to what happened the night Ayla was shot and saved Marcus’ life. I really liked all three of them and am looking forward to seeing how the relationships develop in the next book!
This book is slightly dark, probably on par with Callie Rose’s previous books. All in all, a solid read!
