Echoes of Love is an awesome book full of mystery, action, and romance. I enjoy the author’s writing style and the characters are well developed and interesting. The storyline is original and totally engaging. I had a hard time putting this one down.
I received an ARC and have chosen to give my honest review.
This is the 5th book I’ve read written by Gina Ardito; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

This book me intrigued from the start with Governess Chesna caring for Prince Mikhail until the French Army comes and kills the King and Queen. Chesna knows she has to guard the Prince with her life so she changes his name and tells him to pretend she is his mother. Chesna has only loved one man but he left her years ago for school and never came back until he came back wearing the French uniform. This story is intriguing, suspenseful and romantic.
A well written Historical Romance that held my interest throughout. Royal governess Chesna Dubrow and Pietor Gabris’ Story of a second chance. There is suspense, drama, danger, secrets, evil, attempted murder, villains, a child king, and romance. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. The innocent, pure love of Pietor and Chesna ended when Pietor went off to college. After joining a rogue Napoleonic group, Pietor finds himself on the front line when Napoleon’s troops return to his homeland. What happens next is chaotic and unexpected. This book is filled with history, mystery, romance and intrigue…with a great who-done-it tossed in for good measure. Historical romance readers will enjoy this book as will those who read mystery and intrigue. This author is known for her crisp writing, strong characters, and believable storytelling.
Historical romance is not my favorite genre. But a good story is a good story no matter when takes place. This is a good story. I liked the main characters in this book even though I couldn’t see a path for them to happily ever after. The story was full of surprises and had a very satisfying ending. I liked the twists to the story and truly enjoyed it.

Read the book in one sitting!
Enjoyed the grit and determination of Chesna (or Ches), as well as the contrast between her as a girl and as a woman with great responsibilities. She is the governess of a prince and will do anything to protect him, conscious of her duty and her family’s history. Loving him (he’s a cute five year old) makes her job easier.
The hero, Pietor…can’t say much about him without massive spoilers. Didn’t like him much at first (in common with Ches) but he does grow on you.
There’s action and a well developed mystery. I had it figured out pretty early, but still enjoyed finding out the details of why and how.
Set during the Napoleonic Wars, the period detail is good; my only quibble is that I would have enjoyed more description of clothing and environment. On the whole, a fun fast read.
