The book starts with Prince Albert, an alpaca male, contemplating his females, when he sees that one of them is being led away. Change of perspective – we meet Julie, an elderly lady, who arrived with her grown children to enjoy camping after an operation to her hip.The alpacas are part of the camp ground. Everyone is abuzz on the missing alpaca, and Julie decides to investigate.
the story is funny, with a little bit of action, and has the unique perspective of Prince Albert to enjoy.
The book is fast paced and quite entertaining.
I received this book as an ARC. The review is voluntary.

Cute First In Series Cozy with Alpacas
This is a cute cozy mystery. It is the first book in a new series. The background is a campground in southern Utah that is also home to a flock of Alpacas. The mystery is pretty good. The story is humorous and fun to read. I am also excited to read the next book. I received this book for free from the author and voluntarily chose to post my honest review.
Cute book. Love the alpacas. June and Price Albert are quite the pair.
Fun book to read. Enjoyable all the way to the end. And who doesn’t like a cute alpaca. Looking forward to the next book.
This fun book starts out with June who has had hip surgery and her daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Nathan that have an RV that they travel around the country taking videos and showing then on the internet. The ads for their website which is very popular allows them to have the money to travel, tent a spot at a campgroud for however long they plan to stay and film in that area and it pays for food.
Rebecca’s mother June is part owner of a catering company in Chicago but she has fallen and had to have hip surgery and take off an extended leave, because as a caterer, she is on her feet all day. She is a window and she and her husband used to travel in an RV. It needs work but Nathan is a good handyman, so they get her RV ready for use and call the camp that they already have plans to stay at in Utah. Theo were said if they can park both of their RV’s on basically one spot then June can come. June agrees to cook for Nathan and Rebecca while they are out filming so it is a win win for both of them
When they arrive there are several alpacas there. One male in a separate pen from several female alpacas and one of them is pregnant. Almost everyone at the campsite loves the alpacas. One nigh someone steals the pregnant Alpaca and June starts playing detective to see if she can find out who took her and where she is, the odd thing, to me is the owner of the RV Park doesn’t want anyone to call the cops. I am not going to say anything else about the book other than more action happens and it is a very fun read, and I didn’t figure out who was the alpaca their. I think this is a GREAT book for all ages. Jamie Lynn Badger does a good job writing interesting cozy mysteries that just happen to have alpacas. will be watching for the next one.
