Sooooo…
I really had great expectation for this book and it was a surprise
A bit slow to start out but by the time it got about half way through it was unputtdoable… I did not see that coming is all I can say wow what an amazing continuation of the story
I cannot wait for the next one
SPOILERS AHEAD….
I received an ARC of this book from the authors and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Fantastic read. This one was nerves wracking. Although i new deep down that Mireyah could not be without her five, with everything that happen in this book it kept me on the edge of my seat cause nothing was set till the very end. Can’t wait for the final book to release. Well done ladies.
An amazing follow up to Impure.
The story begins 5 years from where the last book ended. We follow Mireyah’s growth as she mature’s into her role as a Sylfe and potential Goddess. She begins to question what she believes, what she wants and what is the best path for her to take going forward. We are introduced to new friends and old foes, while watching their relationships evolve. Throughout most of the story Mireyah and her 5 are kept apart due to circumstances, but don’t worry there are some steamy scenes when they do come together. But is that enough to overcome the odds?
As the Gods battle it out over the right to sire Mireyah who will win the honor. Will it be her 5 or will another be worthy? Through four arduous trials they will all be tested and tried. The ending isn’t a cliff hanger, but does leave you craving the next book to see what happens next.
This is the second novel in the Acension Book series by Kenna Bardot and Tove Madigan, and should not be read without first reading the previous novel Impure.
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review
This series just keeps getting better and better!
This books takes place after a 5 year time jump. Mireyah has been a Sylfic for this time and all of her men are finally in Demiorgo. She is read to start the process to become a God and her men must Declare for her. Unfortunately, they are not the only ones to Declare.
I loved how the story progressed from the first one. This book spent a lot of time with Mireyah self-reflecting. She needed to see if she was the same person that she was at the beginning of her journey and if she had changed, was it a good change or a bad change. She also had to decided her priorities. What was more important: love or having a better chance of making change for humans. I liked how even though Mireyah did change, it was a good growth and not a weakening of the character.
For those that like the Challenge that Mireyah had to go through in the first book, you will love the Trials that the men have to go through in this book.
I received an ARC of this book in compensation for my honest review. I absolutely loved this book. Ascension was filled with many twists, turns and edges! I cannot tell you how much loved it without spoiling things, but you should definitely read it! It takes you right to the gritty edge and leaves you dangling wondering if she’s going to break your heart! I cannot wait for the next one!
