Good parenting advice: Only allow your small frog, cat, and hobgoblin limited and supervised television time, or risk stunting their mental and physical growth.Yeah, it might already be too late for that… harmless. The “kids” loved the old, black and white shows. But, per usual at Croakies, things devolved quickly, transforming “quiet” time into a heart-pounding adventure.
And of course, as you’d expect, the frog, the cat, and the hobgoblin are right in the middle of it all.
I’m a total derf at this whole parenting thing.
And my “children” are brats.
Holy flippin’ frog flatulence. So much for the good old days…

Book 9 of 12 what trouble can the threesome drag the Keeper into how about a TV artifact where eating and drinking is dangerous and favorite old TV shows come to life sort of. Very entertaining
Wow what a fun wild ride Sam Cheever created for us! Makes you never want to watch TV Land or another B&W classic show again!
Wow! Once I started reading this I couldn’t put it down! So much adventure and action! I think I was holding my breath the whole way through. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments, especially with Hobbs around! So not everything was totally serious, but it really kept me turning the pages. I had to see how it all ended!

It all started with an old black and white television and some innocent TV watching. But things are rarely what they seem to be at Croakies, and the old television is going to be the start of a not so grand adventure.
This is a great series as is this book. The book’s a fast-paced, fun read full of action and adventure. There were a few mistakes early on but the latter part of the book was clear of them. I’m really looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
This is one of my favorite series and authors. What happens when a cat, hobgoblin, and a frog get pulled into a black and white world called Mayberry via an old TV? Naida, Grym, and friends go after them, of course! I am excited to see where the next book will take these wonderful characters.
Black & White Croakies by Sam Cheever is an amazing story that I have read. This is book number nine in this amazing series that I loved reading very much and can not wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this amazing story to everyone who loves reading about cozy mysteries and fantasy.

A great addition to a fun and entertaining series. The story line is fun to read and the characters are enjoyable and easy to love. The right amount of mystery, suspense and humor to keep you turning the pages. Plenty of moments that have you laughing out loud as you continue to turn the pages.

Naida and her crew retrieve an old TV, known to be magical, but they do not know, what it actually does. When Grym comes by to tell Naida that the former owner of the TV was probably sucked into the TV she is worried, as her “kids” are watching said TV. When she enters the room though, she finds she is too late. She and her crew fight to get their friends back out of the TV, before they can attempt to destroy it.
The book is even more of a page-turner than most of the other books in the series. It is fast-paced and imaginative. Like all the others an absolute original.
Loved it.

This has the gang going to Mayberry through a magical black and white tv. Oh my!!! The things they have to do to do this is hilarious! BUT…can they all come back? This is a very tricky and uncertain thing to do. You will have to read the book to see” the how” and the way back. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
This is a great fun series. They work better if you read them all in order. Always move along fast and keep you sucked in and laughing. I really enjoyed reading this and cannot wait to read more by this author.

Just when I think Sam Cheever can’t make the Croakies series any better, she does! In this book, things are not what they seem. Things may seem innocent and uneventful but Nadia and her faithful friends soon find out that they are not. Can the gang find what they are looking for and get back to the real world before time is up? Or are they stuck in a tv world forever? Join Nadia and gang on their adventure and be prepared to be thrown into chaos.

BLACK AND WHITE CROAKIES by Sam Cheever is the ninth installment in the Enchanting Inquiries series. Jump into another fast moving adventure with plenty of smiles and laughs to break up the tension. And, as usual, the frog, the cat, and the hobgoblin are right in the middle of it all.
An old television that shows only black and white 1960s shows. Naida is pleased that Mr. Slimy, Hobs and Mr. Wicked are obsessed by this TV and staying out of trouble. That is, until the little trio suddenly vanish. That’s when Naida finds the truth about this artifact that can somehow suck all the color and the viewers out of the world into another. Who’d of thunk? And we’re off and running into another wild and daring adventure to save the little trio and the world. It may not be that easy though, two keepers working together failed and were sucked into the TV world and never seen again.
Be sure and watch for Mr Slimy wearing a cowboy hat.

Naida and Sebille are watching Hobbs, Mr. Wicked and Slimy watch tv on an old black and white tv. She is greeted by a one of her best customers. Grym came by to speak to Naida about the artifact that she took from someone’s home. When the customer finally leaves, he tells her what is going on. The home where the tv is, is losing color. As he is speaking, it is happening there. The worst part, is it takes people watching it. Naida’s friends help slow the taint of the artifact. Naida is losing her color blaming herself. Naida decides she will go in alone to get them back. Well her friends will not let her. Grym, Sebille refuse to let her go into the artifact alone. Naida and others will have to go into an old tv show and try to reach their friends and others that the tv has taken.
Naida and others will get in to the artifact, they try to find the others. One of her friends doesn’t remember her. Naida will try to get her too or she will lose her. There is so much that is going on Naida will need the others to help her get everyone back and stop this machine forever. There is a lot of stuff that happened to everyone that you have to read, I can’t give anything a way, you will like the ending.
This was such a great read, love the interactions of the characters, the laughs and sarcasm, there are so many different moments. I recommend this book/ series to everyone.

Be careful you do not get pulled into the artifact!!!
If you read this book, it will happen. That intense feeling will keep hooked and wanting to read till the end.
Must read just for the laughs. Even if cozy mysteries are not your thing. The alliterations and ‘swearing’ are hilarious. You will want a book of just them when you are done.
Besides this book and the whole series are not your typical mystery with a murder and who done it. Yes there is a mystery but it is more like a crazy adventure and trying to solve what is going on.
This particular story keeps reminding me of an old Twilight Zone episode. So if you remember that show then you will definitely love this.
Hi Mr. Wicked (pet, pet…). Love your picture on the cover. You too Mr. Slimy.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
A rogue artifact can even turn the town of Mayberry scary. Naida discovers a TV has monochromatic effects that can endanger herself and all her friends. However, she must gather her courage and use her wits to rescue her loved ones. Sam Cheever has created lovable characters in a gripping storyline, written with humor. I won’t miss her next novel.

Naida is a keeper of magical artifacts. When she discovers a few of her friends have been sucked into a magical artifact, she of course wants to rescue them. A wild adventurous read, set to an old TV show. All the usual great characters, and the usual antics and fun. Best enjoyed if other books in the series have been read. I received an advance readers copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary review.
I love Black and White Croakies! Sam Cheever has an incredible detailed and descriptive way of writing that brings the pages alive. The characters are witty and humorous. The book is incredibly engaging and fun. It is exciting and full of adventure. Your attention is captured right from the beginning through constant adventure to the exciting dramatic end. The plot and characters are unique and interesting. I love this series and always look forward to the next book!
Another Exciting and Magical Adventure
This book is one of a series that is best enjoyed in order. In this story, the group gets sucked into a 1960s black and white TV show. That story premise is just a hoot, as is the way the author pulls it off. As always, it is a fast-moving adventure with plenty of smiles and laughs to break up the tension. I just love this series. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
