Cora and Michael broke apart as a couple when their daughter died. Michael listened to friends and family who told him to give her space to grieve. The result was that she shut him out completely and now wants a divorce. For Michael this is unacceptable and he devises a plan – flawed, but workable – to get Cora back into his life. He is conning her into joining a camp for foster children, to give them a special experience, a camp, he is partly managing.
A wonderful story of persistence and of the power of children in need. Funny at times, tragic at times it holds a nice balance.
Well-written and entertaining.

Cora pushed Michael away after they lost their baby daughter. She wants a divorce, but he wants to try again by spending time together at a foster camp. It’s revealed that while they were apart he made some bad company decisions and the foster camp is being threatened by a developer. They work on fixing these issues and finding their way back to each other with the help of friends and a pair of foster siblings. This was a clean second chance romance.
The main characters were well done, but in such pain that they sometimes seemed flaky.
The story is original and well paced.
I liked the theme and setting for this second chance married romance. The characters and storylines were good too. The book was a little shaky, but I did still enjoy it.

A devastating loss tears Michael and Cora apart. This is the wonderful story of how a loss can sometimes lead to a new beginning, if everyone can open their hearts. I loved this story.
