It Started Out Like Another Ordinary Day, But It Ended With My Worst Nightmare Coming True: My Brother’s Place Had Been Totally Ransacked And He Was Missing I immediately thought the worst. He was dead, probably killed by the same creatures we’re both after. I know there’s only one person who surely knows what happened to him. There’s just one problem: a vampire is never eager to talk to a … is never eager to talk to a slayer.
I managed to get accepted into a top academy, reserved only for vampires.
It is where I’m bound to find the answers I’m looking for but it won’t be easy.
I have to deal with a bully, plus I meet four guys who all seem to want something from me.
I can’t trust anyone in this place.
They are all suspects, every single one of them, but I won’t stop until I find my brother.

This was most definitely a different kind of story and I loved it. Easy to read, steamy as all get out and oh, the men. It made me want to become a Vampire Hunter and go to the Vampire Academy. Even though it was a PNR it was very believable.
Mina Payton is a vampire slayer along side her brother Kellam. When she arrives at her brothers house and finds his house in a state of disrepair she is instantly worried. She instantly starts looking for clues but finds nothing. When she searches for the book that her brother has been keeping safe and finds it is missing, she knows more is afoot than just her missing brother.
Mina learns that a vampire by the name of Dante is killing slayers and is searching for the book of witches, she knows that she has to keep it out of his hands. When she learns that she has to go to the Vampire academy to infiltrate the sacred walls to learn the secrets there, she enlists the help of another vampire who has been an informer for her and her brother.
Mina meets and falls in love with four vampires who all have a secret. Raphael, Renwick, Thorne and Hendrik are all very different boys, but each draw Mina towards them. Their relationship starts off to a rough start, but eventually they win Mina over.
Mina makes friends with the witches in the school and she is invited to attend their Sabbath celebration at Halloween, where her mother talks to her through one of the witches, Rose. She learns her brother is alive and will come for her soon and that she is half witch and the keeper of the book.
The vampires and Kellam and Mina face the battle of their lives and Raphael and Mina are close to death. The battle is successful, but the instigator manages to get away, but they are able to bring the overseer back to life to bring peace and order to the world again.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
I love academy books and this one has now made my list of favorite academy books. So Mina is a vampire slayer and has come across a scene that just about rocks her world. Her brother is missing! So what do you think she does? She enrolls into the vampire academy under an alias name. While she is there she meets Renwick, Raphael, Hendrik and Thorne. There are secrets, lies and betrayal. However, when you start reading you will want to finish. The journey will be twisted with a happily ever after.
Mina Payton, a vampire slayer, enrolls in Zeadore Academy, a high school for vampires. I would rate this PG16 for steamy polyandry and, at 388 pages, allow a LONG weekend. I had an advance reader copy and this voluntary review is my own opinion.
