I liked this book and it’s hero but I really did not like the heroine. The story was ok though and it kept my interest fairly well. The friends to lovers angle worked for me but I wasn’t happy with the whole contract situation.
I enjoyed reading this even if at times the drawn out angst got to be too much. I was invested in David and Ele and hoping they would voice their feelings for each other sooner rather than later. Alas, that didn’t happen but the journey there was full of suspense, danger, miscommunication, and lots of passion.

Ele and David have been best friends since they were five. When Ele desperately wants to be a mom, she goes to David to help her. He is a Seal, deployed for long periods of time to classified places and missions. She doesn’t want a relationship or even have him in the child’s life. She will raise it on her own. While she is on a photo shoot in Africa with her daughter, she runs into him during his undercover mission. He sees his daughter for the first time. He needs to protect them when there is political unrest in the country they are in. Even though he tries to keep his distance, he has fallen in love with his little girl and realizes he has loved Ele for a long time. It was heartwarming how he responsibly embraced both of them and kept them safe. He is hating that he signed a no involvement contract with her. How can he walk away at the end? Nicely written and very enjoyable read.

I received an arc for an honest review. I loved this story. This books brings us Ele and David. David is a Seal and that is his life choice. Ele is his best friend, a photographer, who desperately wants a baby. She feels that David is the right choice as he is not interested in having a family, so she would raise the baby on her own. David and Ele have feelings for each other, but neither one expresses their feelings. 2 years later, David and Ele, along with daughter Rose, cross paths in a dangerous country, and David has to wrestle with his feelings. The more he gets close to Rose, he realizes that he can’t let them go. How will Ele feel? You’ll have to read to find out what happens – the epilogue is fantastic. I highly recommend this book!
This was not my favorite of the author’s books. I think it’s mostly because this contains the type of heroine that drives me completely up the wall: independent to a fault and convinced of her own invincibility, potentially to the detriment of everyone around her. I loved the beginning with all its best-friends-to-lovers angst. And the ending is everything that’s precious and adorable. I’m just really conflicted by everything that happened in the middle. All of Ele’s ‘too stupid to live’ actions quickly frustrated me. I love fierce, feisty female leads, but I can’t support them when they put their safety and that of the people around them at risk because listening to the security specialists feels too much like being controlled. Would you rather feel restrained or dead? I know which I’d prefer. Also, in the copy I read, there were some spelling, grammatical, and continuity errors that I found quite jarring. Since what I read was an advanced copy, hopefully these will have been corrected before sale. Otherwise, I adored Rose and David. My heart bled for him. He grew up with one of the crappiest kinds of childhoods I can imagine and now it twists his perception of every encounter he has. Rose is a precocious little imp and a point of light in his darkness. I loved seeing this little family achieve their happy ending.

WOW! David and Ele love each other, but neither of them knows how to express it. When things happen and they reconnect, will they both finally admit their feelings for one another…especially with their daughter being involved? What a great book!

I had a great time reading this well written book made up of wonderfully developed characters that have plenty of twist and the chemistry hit the spot. The storyline flowed easily and kept me entertained.

Eleanor and David had been friends since kindergarten. Unknown to the other, they both had been hiding the depth of their feelings for each other for years. And then Ele asks David for a huge favor – to father her child and give up all rights to the child. After he signs the documents and gets Ele pregnant, he walks away knowing it was a mistake. Could their friendship ever recover from this oversight? Could they ever find a way to share their true feelings? Or would pride get in the way? A good read
David and Ele have been best friends for t a long time. Ele has decided she wants a baby before she runs out of time. To say he’s shocked is an understatement. They meet again after several years when she’s on a photo shoot in Africa and David is on a mission. Things get hairy with the insurgents there. There is danger, steam and HEA.
I really enjoyed David and Ele’s story these two have been friends since they were kids he is a Seal and happy with his life she is a photographer who wants nothing more than to have a baby. These two both have feelings for each other but have never acted on them when she asks him to be her baby daddy he agree’s and sticks by the agreement that she will raise the baby on her own. But when she and his daughter end up in danger he will do what ever it takes to keep his girls safe.
THE SEAL’S BABY DEAL By Leslie North Presents Katie Knight
I absolutely loved this story. David and Ele kept me up all night reading to see what was going to happen. Close friends since they were 5 years old, they thought best friends were all they were ever meant to be. They have each been in love with the other all a long. David is a Navy Seal and Eleanor is a wildlife photographer. Ele’s biological clock starts ticking when some years go by after a bad divorce and at the risk of their close friendship, there is no one she would rather have impregnate her but David. This is all I am going to say about this 5 star read. You must discover for yourself the rest. I am glad I have found Katie Knight, she always delivers a great book.
This is another wonderful action packed SEAL romance by the talented duo of Katie Knight and Leslie North.
Ele and David have been best friends forever and through thick and thin. When Ele decides she wants a baby, she wants David as her baby daddy, David is a by the rules kind of guy and takes the contract he signed to heart and keeps away from Ele and baby Rose but when they are in danger in a troubled African country, he does everything he can to keep the love of his life and their daughter safe.
Well-written story, an interesting fast-paced storyline. I really liked the characters, David is deep, strong and kindhearted and Eli is stubborn, loyal and independent. I loved the interaction between David and little Rose.

I love most everything Leslie North writes or collaborates on. The Seal’s Baby Deal was suspenseful and romantic. I enjoyed most of the story. Sometimes I got bored with excessive angst between the main characters David and Ele. They did not share their feelings with each other until the end of the book which felt like a long wait. Even so it was still an enjoyable read and unique plot line. It was a fun read.

Hiding their feelings behind the deal
The SEAL’s Baby Deal by Katie Knight is a well written military romance with wonderful characters and a very interesting story. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end!
David and Ele, friends from childhood, have secretly harbored feelings for one another and feared that any romantic feelings would end their friendship. Both secretly want that kind of connection and relationship, but continuously allow their careers and fears to interfere. The deal gives them permission to share time together to create the baby Ele wants so badly while exploring their chemistry and feelings in a safe way. Promising their friendship would not be adversely affected after all is said and done.
Fate brings these two together, as their paths cross in Africa,; David’s on a mission with his SEAL team and Ele is taking photos for a documentary. This creates an overdue opportunity for David to spend time with Ele again and finally meet his daughter. Sparks fly, emotions surge to the surface, danger brings David’s feelings and protectiveness for Ele and Rose to the forefront and yet they still try to deny, avoid and ignore what everyone else can see.
Overall, a very well written military romance with a super hot alpha protector SEAL and ultra independent and brave woman that finally realize, accept and admit their love to find their HEA.
