Isabelle “Izzy” Harmon is home again. Literally. After landing her first teaching gig, Izzy has found herself sleeping in her old room on an ancient twin bed that squeaks whenever she moves. Sure, she loves Honeywell, Iowa but part of her wanted to move to civilization rather than return to her old life after graduating from college. Farm life is in her blood but so is the man who lives next … door. It’s too bad he never saw her as more than his best friend’s little sister.
It’s true what they say… distance makes the heart grow fonder and four years away did nothing to quell the way Izzy’s heart rate doubles whenever he’s nearby. She hoped to get over it, but things don’t always work out the way we hope.
Nashville “Nash” Watson never left. His goal of playing baseball in the majors flew out the window the second he found out he was going to be a father. No regrets, though, because Nash figured he’d return to Honeywell, Iowa to farm his family’s land. It was the only thing he knew for sure. Well, that and he’s never falling for another woman again. Ever.
Never say never, Nash.
Due to sexual content and adult themes, this book is suitable for readers 18+.

Wow, what amazing book. I couldn’t put it down once started. I really enjoyed this book.
I loved Nash and Izzy together, they might of started off as nothing. But you could tell they were meant to be. When they finally gave in it was magical.
I loved the interaction between them all.
I can’t wait for more.
For a novella, this book has a lot of feels. And when it was over, I found myself disappointed that this book wasn’t longer. That said, since I’ve been sick the past three weeks with my head dizzy most hours of the day, it actually was the perfect length for me. This is an author whose name I have come across many times but haven’t read. I’m so glad I read her. I will be looking back at her catalog for more.
It isn’t easy writing a novel; it’s even more difficult to write a short novella and put in it everything that a reader desires. For me, Farmboy had a good amount of angst, complex characters, and an entertaining story. Notice how I said, ‘complex characters’ and not likable ones? While I adored Izzy and Andi, Nash was a whole other story. He was definitely hard to like throughout much of the book for me. Of course, I inferred he would end up being the perfect hero, and was not disappointed when he let his walls down. He was truly romantic and loving, protective and sweet as well as sexy. I couldn’t help but love him.
I am not going into details, especially since this story is short and fast paced. I don’t want to spoil anything. I will tell you that there is plenty to keep you engaged; turning pages. If I haven’t been sick, I could have definitely devoured this in one setting. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick read that has character development, angst, and a believable love story.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
Loved this story especially since the primary male in the story tried to deny his attraction to the primary female even though his daughter loved her as a teacher and a person
Love it
Easy to read Predictable plot but I still thought it was funny
Loved it . Way better then 5 stars
Loved Farmboy Nash and Isabelle made me want a love like I’ve never known!
I enjoyed this story. Isabelle was sweet and smart, and knew what she wanted and what she would put up with. Nash was a bit self-centered and in denial. Things throw these two together, and a bumpy road began to realization, resolutions, and love. I had tears at times as the family drama became more intense. I recommend this story.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
I loved Izzy right off the bat. She had me hooked on the story right from the beginning. Now Nash I had to warm up to. He’s one grumpy guy that can rub you the wrong way at first. His daughter has an old soul. She’s a bright spot in Nash’s life. Can’t blame the guy because life has thrown him enough curve balls. I loved watching Nash open up the more Izzy is in his life. She’s so perfect for him. This book will pull on all of your emotions. It’s a good story to get lost in. I would recommend it. Plus it’s my jam with Nash being a single dad.
This is Izzy and Nash’s story. Izzy had just returned to her hometown as a teacher, and her brother best friend is Nash who is a single dad to his little daughter, and he is certainly not looking for any relationships. These two keep crossing paths but will they act on the undeniable chemistry between them? No spoilers: this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written tale which had me hooked ad intrigued throughout, and I highly recommend for all readers.
I received an ARC of this book with a request of a review.
This book is Kayt Miller’s best one yet! I’m a big fan of her work, but this book took that to a new level. Izzy is a confident, independent woman who is at home in a classroom, the kitchen, or at the farm. She doesn’t get mired in self-doubt and holds her head high. Nash is a alpha that has been kicked around by life and seems to take pride in being a jerk. Her strong will and confidence is what allows them to work towards a future together. It even gets him in the kitchen cooking for her! This book really had a true, honest girl-power vibe going without making it an issue. We should all assume that women are a strong as men in spirit, and this book really hits on that.
Definitely, a must read!
I have mixed feelings about this book. The way he acts is so wishy washy. He admits feelings then ignores them. And she jumps to conclusions, then doesn’t let him explain. It’s still and alright story, with a happy ending.
FarmBoy by Kayt Miller was such a great read for me! This was my first book by this author and I loved it. Because it’s a novella it was a quick read, but still managed to pack plenty of feels, develop characters well, and provide a story i only wished was longer because it was so good!
I loved Izzy and Nash’s story. Izzy was likable from the get go, but the real standout for me was Nash. Yes, he’s difficult to like for a good portion of the book, but once he let his walls down he had me in a puddle of swoon! Plus, I’m a sucker for a good single-parent romance and this one was so good.
If you’re a lover of single parent/brother’s best friend trope and quick reads with all the feels than you definitely need to make FarmBoy your next read. 5 stars.
