Wow this author knows how to start with a bang.
This book is dark, gritty and raw and once you start you will be unable to put down.
The characters and plot will draw you in and refuse to let you go.

Definitely a must click and an author to watch
A Dark Romance that held me in its’ thrall.
Wow. Who is Raven Amor, and where has she been hiding? This is the first book of hers that I’ve read, and she just blindsided me, and took me for the ride of my life.
It’s written in my favourite dual POV, and I loved the way her characters clashed between the early chapters as Lilliana and Malachi faced off against each other. Lilliana’s longer and in her feminine perspective while Malachi’s was short and brusque, masculine and alpha.
Lilliana has been just as blindsided, her life changing forever within the blink of an eye. We are with her as memories of the past assault her mind, the growing up with her brother, and his best friend, the handsome young Malachi who always had time for her, and her own undying devotion to him. Until it died along with her brother, and Malachi’s blood on his hands. Ms Amor’s writing was almost poetic, injecting a lot of visual imagery into my reading experience as she guided me through Lilliana’s thought processes.
If there was one thing that disappointed me as much as it disappointed Malachi, was Lilliana’s love for Jack, her waste of space father, because seriously, she should’ve kicked him to the kerb him long ago. Instead, she seemed to keep him like an albatross around her neck, almost as if she was deserving of some punishment. In fact, even I wanted to slap her and tell her to get over it already, until….
…until I thought I came to some sense of understanding. In not giving up on Jack, she also never gave up on Malachi, the younger man she’d fallen in love with as a much too young girl. To do that, would have been to end the hope of some love and goodness still remaining in the threatening, dark and murderous Prince of the underground kingdom, now before her. The man she still loved, and hated.
And even though Lilliana and Malachi didn’t spend too much time together throughout this book, the ties between were forged in remembered memories, and in iron. Seriously, I tell you the chemistry was hot and insane.
I was held in thrall through this entire book, never knowing where the next hit was going to come from until the blinds were ripped from my eyes and the bullets started flying.
Holy crap, I actually had heart palpations and messaged my blog sister that she HAS to read this book! She one-clicked it there and then. You should too. 5 damn stars!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Raven Amor is a new author for me so of course I was a little hesitant and also curious so I decided to give this book a try. And man oh man am I so glad that I did, it was absolutely amazing!! It was dark and twisted, scary and hot, angsty and emotional. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for other books by her.
This is the story of Lilliana Parker and Malachi Kingston, aka the Dark Prince, or ruler of London’s underground.
Poor Lilliana, oh dear my heart just about broke for her from chapter one. What she goes through time after time just isn’t fair. She pulls on her inner strength so often but there comes a time when even the strongest question how much more they can tolerate. I was totally blown away by her character, her ability to love and her depth of understanding for others.
Malachi is without doubt, not the easiest character to like at first yet that bad boy charm held me and sucked me right in. He certainly had a few layers to his personality. I liked both lead characters as a couple when they weren’t antagonistic towards one another.
Great descriptions of characters, settings, and scenes bring this story alive where you can easily visualize what happens reel by reel in your mind, better than any movie. For example when Lilliana is describing her brother’s death, “… when he died in a pool of ruby.” Your mind sees the glistening blood that has bled from his body as it spreads around him from just these few words.
This dark romance is a fast-paced read, I literally couldn’t put it down it was so good. I am now craving everything this author has ever written as she has certainly tipped my reading world upside down with her incredible imagination.

I thoroughly enjoyed this intense, dark romance. Tension and emotional turmoil flow thick and freely through this gripping read. Lilliana and Malachi are compelling characters that evoke strong feelings in each other and the reader. You can expect lots of drama, suspense, twists and jaw-dropping secrets along the way as the story unfolds. My first read from this author but definitely not my last!
