Massachusetts, 1692Everyone thinks they know about Salem. They heard the claims of witchcraft and the black arts. But, hidden by all the hysteria, there was real wickedness occurring not more than a day’s ride away from the hardened gaze of the Puritans of Salem Town.Notley Village was small, peaceful, and quiet. At least, it appeared to be. But hiding beneath the facade was an evil that would … facade was an evil that would have shocked a nation… and turned the hair of the goodly Reverends of New England pure white.
The coven that secretly controls the town’s politics has convened regularly for their dark and intimate rituals for years. The members are sprinkled throughout polite society and some believe that what they do is simply for recreation and a way of breaking free from puritanical ideals.
Only the oldest members are aware of the full scope of the magical realities that they are interacting with. The coven is a part of ancient tradition that could face its final reckoning in the hysteria-fueled environment of the puritan North America.
Included in this bundle are eight stories of sinful paranormal romance, brought to you in one incredible purchase.

This book of eight deliciously naughty and sexy tales by the BDSM writing queen Alexandra Noir is certainly inclusive of the variety of sexual and physical appetites of men and women. It was also a nice touch in that each story in this Puritan era expanded on a growing coven of people who believed in the power of nature for both physical pleasure and pain. So, of course, her stories had many episodes of sex exchanges between these witches, some of which involved pure unadulterated sexual pleasure and some needed pain to reach and embrace their pleasure plateaus. This included men spanking and whipping women as well as women spanking and whipping men, all of whom gave themselves to it consensually. This is a collection of eight separate but related stories, each describing a journey of discovery. There is some preaching here but unlike the sermons of intolerance, distrust and hate given to the puritans of the time, the message here is one of tolerance, respect, peace and love. There’s enough historical references here that if you’re not careful, you might learn something too. I really enjoyed reading this.
I liked this from the start. I live the characters and how they all connect one story after the next. I kept getting drawn in one story after the next. Grab your copy, highly recommended!

All of these stories are set in the historic city of Salem that is known for the famous witch trials. Each story has differing characters but seemed more like eight scenes from the same play because the writing was done at a very high level. Totally enjoyable and deeply entertaining. I received a free copy of the book but my review is completely voluntary and unbiased.
This book was absolutely amazing!! This author really knows how to write a book that sucks you in and doesn’t let go! It was so easy to get lost in the story. I loved it!!

Witch Trials and Errors – Eight Sinful Paranormal Romance Stories” by Alexandra Noir is a Boxset of what happens when repression and hysteria take hold of an area….where false accusations and severe repercussions hold sway….as occurred in Salam Massachusetts in 1692..Why just down the road a piece things were QUITE different …in fact just the opposite…naughtiness ruled the day THERE!!! In Notley Village there was NO repression …NO hysteria….NO false accusations and definitely NO severe repercussions!!! Punishment …YES….but of a most different variety….in truth it was “begged” for…meted out with great enthusiasm and indeed delightful in the extreme…..engaged in with complete abandon. WHAT was it?!? WHO did it!!? Read and See! But devour this collection with your doors bolted….the curtains drawn tight….and in strict confidence ….for the Puritans of Salem need NOT get wind of it….wicked grin!!!! Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.

The entire series “BDSM and Magic in the Colonies” is an outstanding collection of stories surrounding members of a coven. It’s personal, exciting, chemistry filled, and each story will keep you engaged. It includes:
1. Freedom in Submission: You’ve heard about Salem
What an unexpected pleasure! Alexandra Noir has taken the stories and superstitions from the beginning of the Salem Witch Hunts and incorporated desire and BDSM scenes in order to mesh them into an intriguing storyline that includes not only the main couple, Martha and Ezekiel, but the new preacher and respected elders of the church. I am so excited to have read this and truly can’t wait for the next book in this series.
2. The Witch Twins
Rachel and Rebecca were the bastard twins to an unmarried woman in the town of Notley. The twins had made an agreement with Branden to take part in the ceremonies at the old Hayward place. In exchange, they would be permitted to learn more and become more involved with the coven. Brandon had promised as their reward for the punishment they would endure they would never be on the outside again, instead they would be amongst the leaders of the community. This is the second book in “BDSM and Magic in the Colonies” series by Alexandra Noir. There’s always been a horror and a bit of an allure to the stories of what happened during the Salem Witch Trial days. Call it a morbid fascination if you will, but there is the underlying “what if” factor and Ms. Noir has certainly expounded on it. It’s absolutely delicious in its innuendos and scenes. The world-building is explained in such a way it becomes visual as you read. And the characters? Yes, their personalities and actions are so well written they are certainly relatable.
3. Finding Her Dominance
Jane’s mother was third or fourth cousins to the Keynes Brothers mother so she didn’t know them well. But after her parents died and she lost everything she knew, she sailed to America to stay with “family” and start a new life. She was not in a position to be choosy regarding from whom she accepted assistance. She was too well-bred to become a common or garden servant, but she was too strong-willed for any man to ever wish to make her his wife. And so, now that her dear parents had passed away, she found herself in need of the kind of position that a genteel woman might take without giving up her dignity. I’ve read many of Alexandra Noir’s books and series and have to say, I have enjoyed this series more than any of the others. Not that the others aren’t good, but this one has a bit of the forbidden, a dash of intrigue, BDSM, and romance. Bringing Jane into the mix and having her meet Mr. Johns, the Magistrate was brilliant. These personal storylines just get better and better with each telling.
4. Witch Trials and Errors
Alexandra Noir has taken what was a sinister time in history and given it, to me, a tantalizing twist to several peoples lives. This particular book takes place in Salem during the trials and Reverend Jackson Allworthy has been asked to come and sit on the panel to decide the fate of an accused witch. If that were bad enough, once he sees her and knows in his heart she is innocent, he has to find a way to save her, but at what cost? Even though this is a short read, it’s packed with so much emotion and we’re given a small taste of the BDSM Reverend Allworthy is known for in the Notley Village coven. Not only do we get to see a small part of Jackson and Jenny’s life, but the last part of the book gives an unexpected glimpse into someone else’s discovery.
5. Truth Hurts
Coming into this story, I felt like I had stepped into the middle of a conversation I had no preamble to and was a bit confused, but as the story continued unfolding I realized what was going on and what I was a witness to. My interpretation of Brandon’s personality from the previous books was so off base. You could have knocked me over when I realized his true personality and what all he’d been through. The chemistry between he and Cassandra was both comfortable and HOT. So much time lost. So many secrets kept. So much to look forward to if they can only find away. What a terrific book.
6. A Ritual For Regret
Haphet has always had the ability to find Ammod and Cassandra, going where ever he was led, he just didn’t seem to be able to have the timing to arrive before they left. Throughout the years he seemed to be a step behind them. But now the curse had been broken and he knew they were close, he could feel them. He realized how wrong he had been all these years and wanted their forgiveness even though he knew in his heart if the tables were reversed, he wasn’t sure he could forgive someone for doing the same thing to him. This was an extremely short read for me. I almost feel like Haphet was cheated in the details of his story, although it was a good one. I just wish it was a little more in-depth so there was that emotional connection like the other books.
7. The Sanctity of Sin
Bartlett Uncle had been made a widower with three small children when the smallpox outbreak took his wife. Hannah Wright, daughter to the midwife of Notley Village, had become a widow when the same outbreak took her husband and ultimately their unborn child during her grief. When the FATES take a hand to bring these two together, Alexandra Noir takes us through all the uncertain emotions that come with questioning the feelings of something unexpected. And we get to see both sides and how it affects them. A great read and wonderful addition to the series and yet, now we have what looks like trouble coming. I can’t wait to see where she takes us next time.
8. Witchfinder’s Welcome
Dr. Gregor Meissen had a lot of questions about things that just didn’t seem to have a logical answer in Notley. The more he questioned in his mind, the more he watched and found there were two types of cliques within the town, and yet, there didn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason that would bind them together. As much as he had feelings for his nurse Catherine, her and her family seem to be part of one of the cliques so he thought it best to walk away from those feelings. In the meantime, Brandon calls a meeting at the coven and is concerned about Dr. Meissen’s inquisitive mind and asking questions. Since Catherine is closest to him, she is to find out what the good doctor knows and steer him away from the coven. There will be a ritual and the Fates will come into play but the outcome? It’s part of the Salem Witch Trials, you’ll need to read for yourself what happens. You won’t be disappointed.
Set during the times of the Salem Witch trials, this series skillfully blends history and BDSM in a fascinating and enjoyable manner. This collection includes all eight stories in the series. The stories are all well written, easy to read and very steamy with this unusual backdrop. The characters are well developed and fit well into the historical context. All of the stories have a hint of the paranormal (witchcraft) although some go a bit further. Over the course of the stories we are treated to many different characters, all of which are nicely developed. Oh, and in case it was not obvious, all of the stories are also very steamy. Overall, the stories were very entertaining and lots of fun to read.
Highly recommended.

A witchy story
Set during the Salem witch trials, this book follows a coven of witches and newbies (a play on the BDSM club in contemporary romances). Although there are 8 stories of different lengths with different couples, you do need to read the book from start to finish, i.e. in sequence. The stories flow together well and the book reads well as a cohesive whole, which is a step up from other anthology types. The heat level of the stories differ slightly but all are on the higher end of the scale. I am not a fan of historical romances, but the stories did not feel jarringly historic in a manner that can sometimes take you out of your reading zone nor did the historical element feel gratuitous. A fine balance and very well done in this book.
