Haven 2: Redemption!Trigger Warning!Cast aside and forced to live apart from his family as a child, Rokai ahl has become insolent, resentful, angry, borderline criminal, and a general outcast as an adult. He has managed to build a life for himself in which he answers to no one and nothing. His loyalty lies with only himself. Having been captured, and threatened with execution as a thief and … as a thief and smuggler, he is surprised when the Consortium delivers him into the hands of a certain male. The very male he has resented since he was old enough to understand, that because of this male, he would never be enough. He stalks the corridors of Command Warship 1, on lockdown, arrogantly daring any and all to challenge him. But of course, none do. Until a golden skinned, curvy, human female dares to go toe-to-toe with him — to take from him, and leave him wanting. Who is this fiery little female? Why does she not fear him as all others do? Intrigued, he will not stop until he knows all there is to know about her.
Growing up on the streets of New York has made her hard and street smart. She ran with her own crew, doing whatever was necessary to survive. Though nothing prepared her for waking up on an alien ship, her lungs filled with viscous fluid, her body and choices no longer her own. But she’s alive — she survived, and in order to move past it all, she’s decided to write off the horrors she’s endured as payment for that survival. Rosalita is not a weak female, but she’s lost confidence. She needs to regain control, to feel powerful again. Manipulation of another is the easiest way for her to do that. And there’s a newly arrived alien roaming the ship begging for confrontation. He seems just the type she’s looking for. She recognizes him for what he is — a player and an outcast. She was one back on Earth as well and reads the signs easily. So, she’s got this, she will take control, she will find her strength once again. It’s time for the alien player to be played.
Rokai ahl, and Rosalita will perform a delicate dance, the balance of power tilting this way and that. Neither are able to look away from the undeniable pull they feel toward one another. Will they tear each other apart with their power play? Or will they finally see through their own arrogance long enough to realize the only path to redemption lies within each other?

Another amazing read! My brain is mush! I never want this story to end! I can keep reading this for years and it won’t get old! I truly hope this author keeps writing this story in exactly this style! It’s perfect! We get so many different snippets of stories to come! I love it! Just small tastes of what to behold! I cannot wait for the Generals book and Synclare! This whole book was pure amazing! Pure amazing I say! When is book 3 coming out??!!
I loved this so much. I’m always a little wary when a series starts and the first book is awesome. The second usually doesn’t quite meet the same standard. I laughed so hard and was so full of emotions throughout this book. It was so nice that ViVi, Zha Quin Tha, Kitty, Kol and so many wonderful characters played a part in this book. This author writes so well, I have to read more of her work. This was so awesome. Please give it a chance. The cover is awesome too! I fell in love with Rokai ahl and Rosalita. This is the kind of female character that I love to read. One that’s tough, and takes nothing from anyone. I LOVED this book so hard. I’m wondering about secondary characters like Gaishon, Synclare, Lo’San and even Bart. I highly recommend this book.
*WARNING* story contains explicit adult content, violence, and has trigger warnings
I usually don’t comment on the cover, but (to me) the facial expression here conveys the “Rokai” the he only shows his Rosie.
I loved this story! It was great having Zha Quin and Vivi so active. There are so many sides to Rokai, which gives this story much more feeling. I have laugh, been disgusted, angry and cried while reading Rokai and Rosie’s story. It is more than a romance, it’s also about finding home. The storyline with draw you in! I would give it more stars of I could.
Rokai was completely unexpected……he wasn’t mentioned in book one and there’s a good reason for that! He grabbed me from page one, the emotions he feels….the anger and resentment is eating him alive. But he still manages to have a heart buried way down deep, not like he wants people to think of him as decent, or nice or in any good ways! He’s bound and determined to prove he needs nobody, he is perfectly fine alone.
Then comes Rosalita, aka his Rosie…..she’s no pushover. Just because she fell into the wrong hands and has had a run of bad luck, as she calls it, doesn’t mean she’s weak! She’ll show him, no way an Alien Dick will get the best of her!
The pull and tug between these two was emotional and intense. And as you get into their pasts the emotions build. I fell in love with Rokai, he is definitely a Dick, as Rosie says. Lol.
This was perfect. I don’t think Kol’s story, aka Blue Dude would have worked without this one. And to anyone who wonders……yes! This is just as good as book one! I’ve already reread it once and see many more coming in the future. Loved seeing Vivi and Quin plus all the new characters that I’m now super intrigued with.
Without a doubt, one of my all time favorite series!!
I’m on a Rokai high – I love this story!
It seems as if I’ve waited a long time for another book in this world. It is SO worth the wait! Rokai ahl is a fascinating character with depths beyond what most expect of him. The woman with whom he wishes to dally proves to be as much a ‘player’ as he is. Watching them together can be immensely amusing. Each has an inner strength and unique approach to adversity that is amazing!
The women who were rescued from slavery are admirable in their mission to take back control in their lives. They certainly are attracting many admirers! I see so many possible stories for future books. A thrilling prospect! Rokai’s story had me emotionally involved from beginning to end. Read – there will be no regrets!
This is a steamy romance between Rosie and Rokai. It took me a little while for Rosie to catch my interest but when she did, I could not put the book down. Rosie is not meek and gives Rokai sass all through the story. But they both feel the pull towards each other. Before anything can happen between them, Rokai must avenge her abusers and bring proof back. Then they start their amazing life together. Great story, definitely worth reading.
Sandra Neeley seamlessly weaves 4 romance stories into 1 book! What talent, as it read like a natural transition from one to the other. You will get a continuation of Vivian and Zha Quin’s romance as Prince and Princess aboard their spaceship, introduced in Ascend, book 1. If you haven’t read that yet, you must really start there. Vivian is a hoot!
This is book 2 where Rosie and Rahk Ahl get their happy ever, after a bunch of really awful stuff is revealed. In the midst of that, 2 more romances are introduced between… well, you’ll have to read that to find out for yourselves. I’m happily on to book 3; plus I really need to finish Sandra’s In the Bayou series. You should try Carnage. It’s different, in a good way. Just one caution about this book: I thought the beginning had a slow start, so keep going. It is a worthy read!
