It’s a battle to the final I do… myself face-to-face with my hot stranger yet again.
His name? Braxton West.
His role? The groom’s best man.
His mission? To break up the couple before they say their vows.
A billionaire like Braxton West, I’m sure, is used to getting what he wants.
But he’s going to have to get cozy with failure, because I won’t let anything or anyone ruin this perfect wedding.
Even if he is making it hard to tear my eyes away from his bulging…biceps…
Can I keep this wedding on track…and stop myself from falling victim to a Braxton distraction…?
A note from Adora: Get ready to laugh, cry, and stay up…all night! This standalone story includes lots of steamy scenes, one grumpy bad boy with a heart of gold, and one spirited wedding planner who will stop at nothing to make sure everyone gets their happily-ever-after!more
This was an enjoyable romantic comedy about a gruff, alpha yet not too obnoxiously alpha, guy and a wedding planner who was left at the altar at her own wedding. Though of course there is an HEA, there were some cool twists and turns in the story to keep you guessing. Great book for when you’re in the mood for a light romantic read.
I loved this romance read / listen. Well written with smooth flowing storyline that was engaging and fun. Narration was perfectly done with accents and tone / pitch changes that distinguished the characters. Brilliantly done! I loved our main characters as well as the supporting one. The character interactions were entertaining and fun. Braxton and Susie are an opposites but the attraction is strong. They meet initially not knowing how their soon to be futures are going intermingle. Fun, steamy and heartwarming. Love scrooge meets wedding planner in love with love!

This was my first Adora Crooks’s book. Susie and Braxton’s story is hilarious, and steamy! Braxton, the grumpy groom’s best man, and the bride’s brother, is protective, and handsome. He is determined to break up the couple before the marriage. Susie, a wedding planner, is feisty, and smart. She is determined to stop Braxton ruining the wedding. Susie and Braxton are hilarious together, and they share a sizzling chemistry. The supporting characters have an important part in this story. Some scenes are hilarious! I liked the twists and turns, the friendship, and the family bonds in this story. Blair Thatcher did a great job with the narration. If you like Romantic Comedy, this one is for you. I enjoyed it.
Stopping the Saboteur
Sad and lonely Susie has spent the past many months healing her broken heart. She takes great, dirty strides in accomplishing that the night she meets Braxton.
‘Father, Son, and the Holy CrossFit, he’s ripped.’ — Susie Posy
The book is more steamy than funny but either way, it is quite entertaining! I really enjoyed all of the crazy that pops up with Susie, Braxton, Thom, Ray, Cora, and the rest of this eclectic cast of characters.
I read and listened to the book. The single narrator, Blair Thatcher, did a good job with all of the voices and accents. I liked her for Susie and Thom and many of the others but a deeper voice for Braxton would’ve been more what I expected for him.
Story: 4 stars
Narration: 3.5 stars
He is the groom’s best man and he was only supposed to be a one time thing. Susie had been left at the alter and was determined that she would not get her heart broken again!
A lovely witty read. Susie is back to being a wedding planner, after her own disastrous nuptials. Braxton is the brother of the bride who is determined to cancel the wedding.
How do you keep the wedding on track with only one week of planning? What about the ex? Let’s not forget trying to keep your hands off the hot brother of the bride.
Absolutely delightful!
This was one of those books I started reading and couldn’t stop until the very last word. It will hook you, too, and you’ll grow to love Susie in her honest efforts to redeem her self-destroyed reputation. As “luck” would have it she also has a chance with love herself in the person of Braxton. The story and its characters are brought to life via Ms. Crook’s talented writing.

How to Plan the Perfect Everlasting Love Wedding
“Perfect” should be the term used to describe the desired outcome for any wedding planner’s wedding. And, “perfect” described wedding planner Susie’s last wedding—until it didn’t. But, the perfection could have been predicted. Her fall from grace as a wedding planner came not long after her own fiancé jilted her at the altar. So, at the next wedding she planned where all should be “perfect,” the “perfect” wedding the planner got drunk, had a public meltdown, including karate-chopping the “perfect” wedding cake, and she threw up on the “perfect” bride’s father. And, when the whirlwind meltdown was all captured on video, and that video went viral on the Internet, well, that was just “perfect”.
So, Susie took a year’s hiatus from wedding planning: It’s difficult to be entrusted with a wedding when the label of “bride attack girl” is being bandied about the Internet in association with your image.
But now, Susie has been given a second chance to plan a client’s dream wedding by her boss, Letty. And, Susie is being supported with the help of the Everlasting Love’s dream team—Thom and Marlee—to make wedding magic. The challenge is that this wedding is taking place in 2 weeks in the boondocks of South Carolina. And, there is another small complication, not very important at all—Susie has unknowingly had very close, very personal, perhaps even intimate relations with the bride’s brother.
Susie’s mission—and she has chosen to accept that mission at all costs—is to put together the perfect wedding for Cora West, up-and-coming designer and the future bride of Ray Dalton of South Carolina. The bride is sister to successful award-winning winery owner, Braxton West—the same Braxton West who wants to do everything in his power to stop his sister’s wedding—the same Braxton West with whom Susie had unknowingly engaged in that very inappropriate sexual encounter.
And when her ex, an up and coming movie star, shows up in the midst of the wedding—the very man whose actions flipped her world—well, that’s just “perfect,” especially when she learns that the bride, less than 24 hours before her wedding—has run. Adora Crooks leads her reader on an entertaining jaunt through the highs and lows of weddings—while falling in love with the bride-to-be’s brother. The romance is a fast, fun dash to the alter for one couple and the anticipation of future nuptials to come.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review ARC, but I enjoyed it so much that a bought a copy for my “read-again” list.
Delightful rom-com
—>>> Sneaking off the morning after a hot-but-one-off encounter in order to get over the nasty ex who had left her coldly at the alter did no good for avoiding the man Susie had no intentions of ever seeing again…because, as her luck would have it, she runs into him again soon thereafter. Susie was aghast when she realizes that the man from last night was THE Braxton West…as in “the billionaire brother of the bride-to-to be whose wedding plans are in her hands!” Susie now finds herself with a lot on her plate: 1) Trying her utmost best to pull off a successful, dream-come-true wedding to prove to herself and to her boss that she still has what it takes in the business after her non-wedding breakdown; and 2) Keep Braxton from ruining his little sister’s most important day, just because he does not believe that the fiancé is good enough for her. Both Susie and Braxton do their very best to offset each other’s shenanigans/efforts, but in the end, their feelings and respect for each other go up a few notches, until they themselves are experiencing the “wedding effect,” too.
This was a delightful rom-com to read!

A fantastic flawless funny read… Oh my, you can’t make this stuff up…a wedding planner who got left at the altar on her wedding day, a grumpy billionaire that’s shelling out moolah for his sister’s wedding to someone he deems unworthy. He’d had a one night stand with said wedding planner, nursing her broken heart, that neither of them could forget & then they reconnect when she’s the professional wedding planner for his sister’s forthcoming nuptials that he’s at pains to sabotage. Things heat up between them, HOT! but he comes to respect her & that then turns into so much more. This is flawlessly written & I am adding this author to my favourites list. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
What a cute story. I love steamy rom coms. Adora Crooks did a wonderful job on this. We have the recently left at the alter wedding planner Susie, she is adorable and all about getting true love at the end of each wedding for the bride and groom. Of course, everything has to be magical for the “I do” moment. Stage left, enter the Bride’s
Brother Braxton. Cool New Yorker with money in the bank. He’s determined that his little sister is not going to marry a southern bumpkin in Braxton‘s
Eyes. Of course this puts Susie and Braxton in each other’s path. Loved it! and HEA is had by all! Laugh out Loud funny.
