Violet was unlucky and a little bit messed up, which was surprising for a psychologist. Ford has a job that takes him all over the world, so he’s held himself back from romantic relationships and settling down. I love that he took her out on a glass bottom boat to see to see the fish and dolphins. I’d love to do that sometime. This was a clean vacation romance.
I enjoyed this cute romance that started off with an island getaway, where Violet hurt her foot and got swept away by a stranger. The characters were a lot of fun. Violet left her old, quiet self behind and tried to have fun in spite of her injury. The sparks and chemistry between Violet and Ford made the story very interesting, especially when the vacation Ford ends up at her house in Shady Piers, Maine. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I loved this easy to read wonderful characters, funny, sad, and romantic. It has just about everything in there to really enjoy it. I’ve read others in the Shady Pies series and they are great. This one started out right from the start as being something you didn’t want to put down. The main character, Violet, just landed at an island resort to have fun with friends. Unfortunately, she trips and sprains her ankle. But not bad cuz she gets a lift from a handsome man Ford Murphey. He takes her to the check in and then disappears. Later during the day feeling sorry for herself, he shows up and the sparks fly. They had one wonderful day and then went their separate ways. Each of them thinking of each other when several months later Violet is back in her home city with life going on. Then Ford shows up in town since it’s the home of the company he works at. They see each other but the great reunion wasn’t what either one thought it would be. But Violet’s sister, Calla, may just save their relationship realizing they each love each other but haven’t told each other. Great fast read.
Home Help is a short, sweet, clean romance. Ford and Violet share an enchanted day and part without exchanging contact info. Each is secretly missing the other when their paths cross in Shady Piers. This book is a well crafted romance with personable characters.
Home Help is a short, well written Shady Piers Novella. Violet and Ford have the perfect holiday romance despite knowing that at the end of it they go their separate ways and that will be that. Fate has other ideas for these two but real life is not so easy. I enjoyed this book, it is always lovely to go back to Shady Piers and catch up with some old friends and familiar places. This can be read as a stand-alone and I definitely recommend it.
Help will make you swoon.
It’s a fantasy almost every woman alive might have … a vacation to a tropical island, where she meets the perfect man, spends a short but unforgettable time with him, and he treats her like a princess. Swoon-worthy. C’mon, girls, we’ve all imagined that, right?
When Violet Park and Ford Murphy meet, it’s instant love and the stuff of dreams. They both realize they must return to their real lives the next day, so they part without exchanging contact info.
But real life seems empty, and each yearns for the love that short time promised. With no way to reach each other, it’s an impossible dream. Violet can’t stop thinking of Ford, and her small town doesn’t offer any hope of finding a man like him. BUT, her small town is Shady Piers … and love happens in Shady Piers as if by magic.
This a great series — sweet, clean romances with believable people and an HEA every time. You’ll swoon, sigh and smile in Shady Piers.
I read this author ARC and this is my voluntary, honest and enthusiastic review.
Violet and Ford, star crossed lovers? Can Shady Piers work its magic and help them be together? Violet is a bit too conflicted for a psychologist and her sister just a bit too out there. Still, it was a lovely sweet story. I was given a free ARC by the author. My review is freely and honestly given
I love these stories set in Shady Piers, Maine! In this book we meet Violet who is on a long planned vacation. She hurts her ankle on arrival and meets Ford. He takes it upon himself to entertain her. When they part they have not exchanged last names or phone numbers. Will they ever be able to find each other again?
