When reading about the Jayne and the Sequin & Dagger group you are not always sure of what will be happening with their story. Each book revolves around Jayne and the group by default but there are so many twist that the reader cannot help but keep coming back for more with each book.
This book is no exceptions as story lines are brought to their conclusions but it feels like there is more in store for Jayne & Duke.
It is really hard not to give spoilers about this story so my review is going to be slim pickens. Let me just say this book is worth reading.
This has been an intriguing series. There was a delay between the last book and this one but it is easy to get back into the story.
The world the author has created has a very different feel from other books and does keep you guessing as to who the characters really are and what other secrets they are keeping.
I enjoyed all the action and adventure and liked that it wasn’t predictable at any point.
I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.
A very interesting read. I really liked it. Great characters and good plot. It does help to have read the first in the series. But works either way. No sexual content but does have some vague violence. I recommend it for all ages.
After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.
Jayne is back with the Lily, Duke and Nuno and of course something comes up and the race is on. It was funny, full of adventure, mystery, and a lot of demons. It was a blast reading about the demon fights as some made me laugh out loud. I liked the story and pace and the suspense of what Jayne’s mom is really up to. New characters are introduced and interact with the gang. Just a good story in this series as some secrets are revealed.
“I can kill demons and all kinds of horrors but can I face up to my greatest fear – my mother”. Oh boy, that line alone would’ve been enough to suck me right into getting Kat Cotton’s Demons, Hell & Damnation (The Carnival Society Book 3). As the advertisers used to always say, however, “but wait! There’s more!” The more here being both a fantastic setting (the world of the carnival really is ideally suited for urban fantasy and paranormal stories) and a perfect lead in Jayne. This book is frankly perfect is so many ways. Perfect plot that’s perfectly executed with a perfect cast of lead and supporting characters. Also perfectly fun, and something worthy of a perfect 5.0 score and that I’m perfectly haptics to recommend.
Be ready for a rollicking finale for the series with sad endings, new beginnings, big reveals and alliances that dissolve and reform as the apocalyptic battle approaches between the MC and her not-so-loving mum.
It was my pleasure to receive this ARC and give my honest review.
Jayne and the crew are back in the final book of the series. Jayne is still fighting demons with the rest of them. Only Helen has appeared to let Duke know he has to kill a certain number by a certain time or he goes into complete annihilation. Or he can choose to work at the circus Jayne ran away from a decade earlier. As the time nears, Jayne chooses to work with them at the circus. The main attraction is her! Her mother is after her blood and powers to open the gates to Hell. She also discovers a huge secret about Buzz. The final battle is either all in and die or kill her mother to stop an apocalypse! Her friends are on the line being held prisoner by her mother! Helen makes a deal with Jayne! Jayne will have to make some hard choices! How will the final battle play out? What will happen after? Kat Cotton manages to give us an epic ending to the world of Jayne, Duke, Lilly and Nuno! I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
