In hindsight, I should not have had that fifth mimosa at Breakfast with Santa. Or the sixth, seventh, and eighth. But my shame over the public meltdown that resulted was nothing compared to being abandoned by my husband of fifteen years for a much younger woman—and did I mention she’s pregnant? For the sake of my children and my pride, I packed up and headed for my childhood home and the small town … childhood home and the small town where I grew up. Cloverleigh Farms would be the perfect place for a fresh start.
Falling for Henry DeSantis wasn’t part of the plan.
Sure, he’s easy on the eyes and hard in the bedroom (also the hallway, the bathtub, and on top of his desk), but he’s newly divorced too, and things between us are moving so fast I’m afraid neither one of us has had enough time to heal. Not to mention the fact that I’m a single mom now—my kids have to come first.
But Henry makes me feel beautiful and sexy and wanted and strong—I haven’t felt that way in years. We understand each other, and when I’m in his arms, I’m tempted to trust again. To love again. To let myself be loved without fear.
But deep down, I’m terrified.
Is this all too much, too soon? Or am I a fool to let a second chance at happily ever after pass me by?

I swear, this series gets better with every book, and Unbreakable is amazing!
Henry DeSantis…this man. Oh my, is he ever more than we bargained for. This guy will give you all the butterflies. He’s charming, witty, and way sexier than he thinks he is. He’s attentive, caring, and sweet. He’s the perfect gentleman…outside the bedroom. Inside the bedroom, well, he has a side to him you wouldn’t expect but are surely going to love.
I love Sylvia! This woman is the epitome of strong. With all she’s been through, it would be easy for her to give up, but she doesn’t. And it would be easy for her to settle for just being a mom. But she’s selfish, and I mean that in the best possible way. She’s finally taking charge of her happiness and going after what she wants.
If you’re a sucker for second-chance at love stories like I am, this one is going to check ALL the boxes for you. The chemistry between Henry and Sylvia is off the charts. This book is definitely steamy hot. But it’s packed with the feels too, making it a perfect, well-rounded love story you’ll instantly fall in love with. I highly recommend this book and this whole series. Read it ASAP. You’ll be glad you did.
I loved this book and Henry and Sylvia were perfectly imperfect together
I just finished reading Sylvia and Henry’s story and I loved it so much! I have always been intrigued with the oldest Sawyer sister, mostly because she lived so far away with her family and when she would come home for visits there would be little things said here and there that alluded to her not being so happy in her marriage, but we had to wait while Melanie told a few of the other sister’s stories first before we got the low down on Sylvia. And my heart really broke for her!
What happens to Sylvia is something that has happened to countless women, but Melanie put such a refreshing spin on it that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see if Sylvia was going to get the happily ever after she was so deserving of. And Henry’s story was just as heartfelt, a man whose marriage has also imploded, leaving him to wonder if he’ll ever find love again or have that family he’s been so desperate for.
I loved the connection that Sylvia and Henry feel. Their chemistry is off the charts, but it is not just a sexual attraction. They truly wanted the very best for each other, and Henry was just so swoony with the way he wants to cherish and protect Sylvia and her children. This story just had all the feels and I really just loved these two characters together.
The whole Cloverleigh Farms gang come along for the ride, but that just made it all the better! There are some tidbits sprinkled in this story that lay a little background as to what April’s story will be about, and now I am so anxious to get my hands on it!
Melanie is such a master at writing second chance romance. Not just second chances between previous couples, but giving characters a second chance to find love and everlasting happiness. And this story particularly resonated with me because Sylvia and Henry are older, Sylvia is a single mom dealing with trying to get her kids settled after their worlds are upturned AND try to have a relationship with an amazing man. Being a single mom myself previously, I know exactly what it is like to think about introducing a new man into my child’s life and all the scary stuff that comes along with that. Well, Melanie did a superb job of showcasing all that Sylvia went through, and how Henry dealt with it as well.
I have to say, this is my favorite story of all the Sawyer sister’s we’ve met so far!
I am a staunch fan of Melanie Harlow and she delivers more than what I expect from her stories. This book is everything and beyond what I expected . I don’t want to be biased to Mack , Noah & Oliver but Henry takes the uno numro spot . This has to be the best book in the series. It’s heartfelt with realistic emotions and very relatable characters. I can’t say enough about how much I loved this story, it’s heartfelt, heartwarming and at times heartbreaking , it’s an epic masterpiece and absolute perfection with all the feels everything you expect from A Melanie Harlow’s book.
As they say there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Both Henry and Slyvia have been burnt by their past relationships and what I loved was how realistically Melanie has weaved Slyvia’s ordeal and to both her & her kids insecurities every emotion felt so real and I felt like I was their with the characters.
Henry just won my heart with everything he did to win Slyvia and her kids trust and love. This is a stunning second chance romance with off the chart chemistry and sizzling sexual tension which is a trademark for all of Melanie’s stories. I am literally having withdrawal symptoms after I finished reading this story, I didn’t want it to end, I need more more Henry and Slyvia . Hands down my favorite read from 2020. Slyvia’s story was so worth the wait that now I am anxiously waiting for April’s story.
Definitely a one click buy and a must read. Worthy of all the Unbreakable Stars
I adore this series. With each book I’ve fallen more in love with Cloverleaf Farms and it’s wonderful characters. This is Sylvia’s book and oh what a beauty it is.
After Sylvia’s divorce she comes home. To the one place that has always held her heart knowing it’s the perfect place to heal.
Henry is getting over a divorce of his own. Work has been the only thing getting him through this terrible time. Can these two heal together?
This is a sweet, heartbreaking story. These two beautiful characters and their story will have you laughing and crying. I love this so much.

I was anticipating this book and it didn’t let me down! I loved the more mature storyline and their journey to each other. I was expecting more interaction between Henry and Sylvia’s children, but there was an important conversation at the end that made up for it. Sylvia was a great female character to read about. Her self exploration and the way she interacted with her children was written so well. Whew! Henry was a great book boyfriend! He was exactly what Sylvia needed to find herself again. The book was sweet, hot, and a perfect addition to the series.
I loved this so much! I was intrigued from the beginning being two divorced adults trying to start over. This book shows you there are second chances, even when you don’t expect it. I loved seeing the friendship and relationship grow between Sylvia and Henry. They weren’t what each expected to find but exactly what they needed. The story takes you through every emotion possible when you have a divorce that also involve kids and starting over. I couldn’t put this down.
This has been a really great series. I love Melanie Harlow’s writing style, and this book is no different. Going through a divorce, Sylvia and her kids move to Michigan to be with her family. Henry is the wine maker for her family’s business. Their chemistry is instant. Read the next chapter of the Sawyer sister series – can be a stand-alone if you haven’t read the others in the series.
I absolutely loved everything about this story….well everything except for Sylvia’s ex….he was THE WORST…but I digress. I was sucked into this story from the start with these amazing characters and my hope that Sylvia would finally be able to have a little slice of happiness for herself following her divorce. And Henry was absolutely everything….swoon!!! I adored them together. They had amazing chemistry and I loved that he was patient and how good he was with Sylvia’s children and just how kind and compassionate he was. I was a huge fan of Henry!!!
I read this story in one sitting as I could not put it down. I absolutely love all of these characters in the series. I loved that we got some more snippets from the other members of family throughout this story as well and I absolutely loved the epilogue. Another emotional and heatwarming feel good good story by Melanie Harlow.
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE this second-chance-at-love story! Ms. Harlow is a new-ish author to me, having read two of the three previous Cloverleigh Farms novels and two of her co-writes, but with Unbreakable she’s earned a spot on my MUST READ/AUTO ONE-CLICK list! This book is right up there with my faves, bringing ALL the heat, heart, sizzling chemistry and angst that my romance-loving soul craves!
When Sylvia Sawyer moves back to Cloverleigh Farms after her divorce from her ex-dirtbag husband ditched her and their two children for a younger (and pregnant) woman, the very LAST thing on her mind is falling in love again…she just wants to get her bearings, put her life back together and move on. But life has a way of throwing you curve balls when you least expect them. And Henry DeSantis is one HECK of a curve ball!!! One who happens to be trying to find a new normal after his own divorce. When these two reconnect and start to get to know one another, the sparks FLY right off the page…their chemistry is EXPLOSIVE!!! And I couldn’t get enough!
Along the way, I fell in love (again) with all the other members of the Sawyer family and with a few who I think NEED their story told (hint: a certain sister who has a sad back-story and I need to see her get her HEA)
This is my favorite book in the Cloverleigh Farms series so far and it’s a MUST READ as far as I’m concerned! Now, all I need is…..MORE!!! Bravo, Ms. Harlow, BRAVO!!!
This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Sylvia and Henry’s tale. These two are both newly divorced and neither is looking for any long-term relationship, but can they deny the explosive chemistry between them? No spoilers; this is a definite must read you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written epic story which is filled with witty banter, a dirty talking sexy alpha wine maker, and is an all-round humorous and entertaining read. I was totally enthralled throughout this riveting 2nd chance romance story, and I cannot wait to read more from this gifted author, whose work I highly recommend for all.
Unbreakable is the fourth book in the Cloverleigh Farms series by one of my favorite authors, Melanie Harlow. You can read each book as standalone but I highly recommend reading the series since they are all so deliciously sexy, emotional, and fun. I was so excited that Sylvia and Henry we’re getting a story together after what happened in the end of Insatiable.
After fifteen years of marriage and two children, Sylvia was divorced and going back to her hometown to start fresh. She thought she had everything she ever wanted but deep down she knew the last few years of her marriage was all pretend. Especially after finding out about her husband’s cheating ways. And one of those ways resulted in a pregnancy. She was done and her children supported her in going to Cloverleigh Farms. They all needed a fresh beginning. What she didn’t expect was Henry DeSantis. A man who made her feel beautiful, alive, and just plain good.
Henry wasn’t part of the plan but he was there. He knew what she was going through for the most part. He was newly divorced after his wife left after ten years. They both knew they weren’t ready for a relationship. They also weren’t ready for the chemistry that would bring them to their knees any time they were in the same room. It wasn’t there before but it was there now and it was undeniable. But, it was all too soon. Rules are made. And rules are broken. Maybe it was fast but when it feels right it’s right, right? Not always. Sometimes it’s all about timing. Is it their time?
Awe! I love these two!! Their connection is beautiful and sexy AF. That’s not all there is to them though. There is so much more. And it’s not just about them. It’s about the children as well and they are not just in the background. Sylvia is such an amazing mom, sister, and daughter. And Henry…he is so sweet, patient, and yummy!
Overall…it’s one kickass ride of beauty, passion, laughter, and wine. It’s also full of family, friendships, and love.
Quotes:
“Drive carefully. I think we’re getting hit hard tonight. Like eight or nine inches.” I spun around and walked backward a few feet. “Maybe you’re getting hit hard with nine inches tonight—I’m getting nothing!”
She burst out laughing. “Enjoy your evening anyway!”
“I want to touch you,” she said, her eyes locked on mine. “I want to hear you tell me I’m beautiful. I want you to misbehave.”
“Sylvia, I’m going to say this once,” Henry said seriously. “And then, since you’ve learned not to trust words entirely, I’m going to spend the rest of the night showing you that it’s true—I think you are the most exquisite woman on the face of the earth, in every way. There is no part of your body, no inch of your skin, that isn’t perfect, because it’s yours.”
Melanie Harlow has once again given us a second chance romance does not disappoint. Unbreakable is the fourth book in the Cloverleigh Series. The first three books were wonderful, but I believe that Sylvia and Henry’s story has risen to the top. Henry is a soft spoken, sweet talking romantic who is recently divorced due to issues beyond his control. Sylvia is a woman down on love because of what her husband did to her. She is not even thinking about dating or a relationship as she is more concerned for her two teenage children and how the divorce has affected them. These are two broken souls who found each other in a time where they felt like moving on was something that would never happen. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. Their story is emotional, sexy, funny and will keep you wanting more. Their journey is one that you will not want to miss. This is a definite 5 star read!!
“. . . you’re going to let me love you, and prove to you that we can build something so real and so strong, it’s unbreakable.”
Serious swooning here, folks! Unbreakable left me swooning and with a big ole grin on my face. My goodness Henry and Sylvia are so freaking perfect for each other. Even if neither is quite ready to realize they’ve found their one—their soul mate, their everything.
Both Sylvia and Henry are recently divorced. Both are trying to figure out their new normal. Their new true happiness. And there’s something immediate between them—a connection they didn’t have with their previous partners. And neither one can deny what’s developing between them.
I loved Henry and Sylvia together. They fit and filled in the holes left by their pasts, holes that deeply hurt them. There’s nothing like finding the silver lining when life and fate gives you a second chance at true love. I couldn’t wait to see how they finally figured it out and realized how fantastic their future could be together.
I adore these fantastic Sawyer sisters. Love their dynamic and relationships between them and their parents. And I cannot wait till April’s story is revealed next!
This is such a beautifully written story about moving forward from your past! The author did an amazing job with capturing every moment and everything feeling between these two main characters. With that being said I wish the author would have given the reader more outside their relationship. I felt the story heavily revolved around their thoughts and their feeling towards each other. I missed the fun and flirty aspects that were in the other books. But I did enjoy the story these two had to tell. You could feel that they really needed each other to be able to move on from their ex’s. The author did a great job on capturing their love. I am excited to see what the author does next.
Unbreakable is book four in the wonderful Cloverleigh Farms series. Right from the beginning I just felt that this story was going to be something special and I was not disappointed!
I fell in love with both Henry and Sylvia right from the start. These two souls, broken for different yet similar reasons. They both are recently divorced but they both still yearn for someone to deeply care, love and respect them. Basically someone to build a beautiful life with but taking another chance is always risky and Sylvia has her two children to consider.
The chemistry between Henry and Sylvia is incredibly strong but they also have developed a wonderful friendship and seem to have found comfort in each other through easy flowing conversations and the secrets and feelings that they have been open and honest about. But, will all of that be enough?
Will she take the chance and allow herself the happiness and love she truly deserves and will Henry not give up and go after the one woman who owns his heart? You will have to read for yourself to see if they can overcome all of the obstacles in their way and find their happily ever after!
