Is this unknown love the perfect antidote for them both? Or is this convenient prince bound to return to his playboy ways?more
Enjoyed reading this story about Sophia and Felix and how he had to pursue her when he usually did not have to chase any woman. This reformed playboy wants the only woman who has not fallen to his feet. Well written story with well rounded characters.
I loved this second book in the Stenish Royal series and was so glad that Felix received his own book as I knew I liked him from the moment he appeared in Tailored for Her Prince! I thoroughly enjoyed the chemistry between Sophia and Felix and their swoon-worthy romance as Sophia chases independence while Felix tries to shed his reputation to win her attention. As with the first book in the series, glamourous locations and royal traditions play a large role in the book and paint a wonderful backdrop to the romantic main story. I will look forward to the third in the series!
This is the second novel in the Stenish Royals trilogy and it features Lady Sophia Huntington. Lady Sophia has been controlled by her mother and has led a sheltered life. She desperately wishes for independence but the only way she can get that is by marriage. Prince Felix is a known player and he has fallen for Sophia, despite the fact that she ignores him. Felix may be her chance at freedom and at love, but will she take that chance? This is a really well-written story with great character definition and a sweet romance. Ms. Kingsley does a wonderful job of really bringing the story to life with her great descriptions. I enjoyed this book very much and am looking forward to reading the next one!

After reading the first in this series, Tailored for her Prince, I fell in love with Jayne Kingsley’s ability to create tension and tug on my heart strings. So the wait for this book was almost torturous. I have to say though, it didn’t disappoint! In fact, I think I like this one more than the first. Felix and Sophia are heart-breakingly real. He’s a playboy in love, desperate to prove his past is just that–his past. Sophia’s a socialite whose life has been dictated by her tight-fisted mother, when all she really wants is to help others. But in order to do that, she has to marry before she’s thirty-one, or risk losing everything that matters to her. On the surface, the solution appears obvious, but nothing is easy when hearts and egos are factored into the equation.
I really loved this novel, particularly since the ending wasn’t quite what I was predicting. In fact, Kingsley offered the ending I suspected, but the real one was much more satisfying. So, if you love your romance sweet, tension-filled and unpredictable, this book is for you.
I’ll be waiting for the release of the third in the series eagerly.
I loved getting Sophia and Felix’s story. I loved the storyline and all the bumps our characters went through and their personal development.
