I’ve wanted Gunnar forever … and it’s time for him to see that I’m not a kid anymore.I grew up in Hell’s Ankhor and even though I’m twenty-five they all still see me as Ankh and Priest’s kid. Especially Gunnar. The Sargent has known me for years and watched me grow up. I would give anything to have him see me as the man I’ve become instead of the scrawny boy I used to be, but it’s never going to … scrawny boy I used to be, but it’s never going to happen.
I need to face the fact that Gunnar will never be mine, but when a devastating revelation sweeps through the club and cuts me to the core, he’s the one I turn to. And just when it seems like things might change between us a threat from a rival MC puts me in the crosshairs.
We can fight any battle that comes at us, but can I make Gunnar believe that our relationship is really strong enough to face any challenge? Or will new dangers and old fears break our hearts and put the club at risk?

Raven grew up in the club, but he’s no longer a child and he’s tired of everyone, especially Gunnar, treating him as if he’s still one. He wants to find out what happened with his father, and if no one wants to help him, he’ll do it on his own. He’s smart and resourceful, and quite capable of it. And he’s decided he’s done with trying to get Gunnar’s attention. One rejection is enough, thank you very much!
I loved this installment of this MC series! Raven and Gunnar are a great couple once Gunnar finally withdraws his head from his rear and goes and declares his feelings. The angsty back and forth was a bit much sometimes, and more than once I wanted to shake Gunnar for his hot and cold ridiculousness, but Raven gave as good as he got and is the perfect match for rough around the edges Gunnar. I’m not sure whose story is next, but I know for sure I will be reading it as soon as it’s released.
Gunnar, Hell’s Ankhor Book 2

Gunnar and Raven
Being worthy….
A tale of unrequited love. Raven has been attracted/in love with Gunnar since he was a teenager, but Gunnar never reciprocated or been accepting ofhis feelings. In fact, he would let Raven know that he is not interested in him. Maybe because of their age difference or the fact that Raven is the son of Hell’s Ankhor’s former President and Vice President.
Information pertaining to the death of his father has Raven running an investigation on his own, trying to find out if it’s true. But having the club at your back is how you’re suppose to work these things. Raven had to find that out the hard way.
I love this series, it has action, mystery and romance, just how I love it! I can’t wait for the next one.
Blade book one in the Hell’s Ankhor series was such a good story with angst, drama and of course a bit of love. When I found out book two was about Raven and Gunner, I was super excited because I felt like their story had so much potential, but it just fell flat. There were several times when things were repeated unnecessarily, or they were mentioned in passing in an understated way that didn’t need to be said again. Plus, I felt like Gunner was way too hard on himself about his feelings for Raven, yes there was a past and he didn’t feel worthy but those things can only be said so many times before it becomes redundant.
Even with all of that, once Gunner and Raven finally got out of their own heads their story was such a beautiful one of unresolved feelings and love. The actual meat of the story with the truth about Ankh coming out was really good. Even the bit of a “plot twist” that I saw coming from a mile away was done so well that the fact I saw it coming did not even bother me. Worth reading to get to the next book which is Rebel’s and I feel like that story is going to be the most intriguing yet.
A solid trope filled m/m romance: age gap, mutual pining/secret crushes/both thinking they’re not good enough for the other. Far from my favorite tropes so people who enjoy these tropes will probably like this a lot more than I did. For me Raven’s internal dialogue was a bit too whiney and Gunnar’s was a bit too “oh noes my hands are so bloody.” But I still enjoyed it enough to finish it and continue to overall love this band of misfits and the background story of the growing war with the Vipers.

The world of Hell’s Ankhor and Vipers is exciting dirty and dangerous.
And wow my fingers are lost for words this book is absolutely fantastic.
I found myself rooting for Raven more and more as he waited and wanted the one who needed in my opinion a few wacks on the back of the head to figure out how much Raven meant to him.

I love this series so much!
It must be hard to watch a child grow up in front of you into a gorgeous young man and then realise that you have feelings for him when he reaches the age that he starts having feelings for you and starts to flirt with you! Because that’s what’s been happening for in denial Sargent Gunnar who is then struggling to hide is attraction to the former ‘club baby’ Raven, who at 25 is no longer a baby! They both know there’s attraction between them and so do their club mates.
Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda have taken this difficult storyline, which has potential for awkwardness and made it flow although with a great slow burn to keep the reader turning the pages with want and anticipation for the next move. This book is another emotional rollercoaster that winds the two lane highway outside the clubhouse they live in!!
These boys have me living on my emotions throughout the books; it’s like I’m their mum! I feel their pain, their love for each other, their anger, fear, joy, sadness; I cry my eyes out and laugh out loud, I’m so involved my family think I’m mad! I love that there’s a message about an issue be it domestic abuse, substance abuse, alcohol abuse, hate crime; it’s there in the text saying it’s not ok and it should be dealt with and there’s always someone to support you.
I loved this book as I have the others; This is definitely aimed at adult readers with adult content! Scenes between the sheets, against the walls, in the kitchen, or wherever are hot and sexy and between men! If you don’t like that don’t read these books!!!
I’m totally recommending it to you xx

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Who doesn’t love a little age gap and forbidden relationships? Raven and Gunnar have both carried secret crushes on the other. They knew it was hands off, but man did they wish it were different. Especially when the crush grows to something more. One night, when Raven does something reckless, Gunnar decides to act upon his feelings. This story is about Rayven and Gunnar’s complication relationship, but it’s also about finding out what really happened to Raven’s dad. It was ruled an accident, but someone is trying to point Raven to another dangerous conclusion. The narration if this book was enjoyable. I felt like Thomas Hart did a great job with the characters and bringing the story to life.
I totally loved this book! I was hoping to read more about Raven and Gunnar after the last book. And I was not disappointed! Wow! The sparks fly with these two. Great additional to the overall story. I can’t wait for the next book!!
Gunnar is the second book in the Hell’s Ankhor series by authors Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda. This series should be read in order. The back story of Priest and his dead mate is very important to this storyline.
Raven is Priest’s son. His father died in a fatal bike crash. Or so everyone thinks. Now he is getting emails saying it was a murder. Raven has grown up in Hell’s Ankhor. He is determined to find his father’s murderer on his own.
Gunnar had treated Raven like crap, and he knows it. He had to let Raven grow up and be free to do what he wanted with his life. But seeing Raven struggle with something he will not share with anyone including him is killing him. They used to talk like old friends, and Gunnar misses Raven. Can he see Raven is a man now and take a chance on love with him?
I loved the murder mystery in this book. I also loved the connection between Gunnar and Raven. Raven is a smart cookie he might be young, but he is clever. Gunnar is going to have his hands full with him. When you want a biker romance with some edge, I highly recommend this series.
Five Shooting Stars
Gunnar and Raven were explosive! I mean you saw the tension between them in Blade but once Gunnar finally admitted his feelings to himself, there was no holding back even if he was scared Raven would walk away. There was suspense and drama and love in this MC romance. I cannot wait to see what comes next!
Raven is the son of Ankh and Priest so he was raised in the club and sometimes feels as if the club still sees him ass a kid. When he gets an email that says his father’s death wasn’t an accident, he is determined to find out the truth. Gunnar is the sergeant at arms for the club and has tried to ignore his feelings for Raven. When Raven’s search explodes, Gunnar is determined to keep him safe. Will both of them finally admit to their feelings are will past hurts prevent them from having their happiness?
This story continues an arch that began in the first one while the couple is still kept in the front of everything. I really enjoy everything about it and looking forward to the next one.
Raven was the computer geek son of deceased club president Ankh. The club had thought Ankh’s death was an horrible accident. Instead, Raven got an email with a crime scene photo and two words: NO Accident
As Raven works to unravel how the email came to him, and from whom, his childhood crush Gunnar, an ex marine, pops up and complicates things
Unraveling The Who and the why behind the murder is a big challenge. Figuring out where things should go between Gunnar and Raven, a puzzle not much less painful than the murder case. Shoving away someone you care for too hard can hurt far worse than simple let downs.
Intense action, adventure and romance
