Characters were very frustrating!
I had read book 1 before, and it had been good, so it was interesting, but not needed, to see the prequel to it. BlueBerry Springs is a fascinating small town that manages to have 3 … count ’em 3 … in a row fake marriages of related people. Yet each is different enough to be an intriguing study of people who have problems being honest with themselves and others.
I love her books!
Loved every story. Made me by the next set, which was, also, worth the read.
Love this author
Great stories of second chances, business partners and marriage of convenience. Characters are well developed which makes the stories interesting and imaginative. Could not wait to read all of them. Looking forward to reading others!
The Promise – This is a prequel so know going in that it does end on a cliffhanger but it makes you want to read The Surprise Wedding (which is out now – no waiting!!!). This author is one of my favorite and I have read just about everything she has written. Olivia and Devon come from different worlds but somehow it works – well sorta. I’ll be honest I didn’t really care for Olivia but can understand – sorta – why she is the way she is. Love Devon but then again I met him in this author’s Blueberry Springs series. LOVE that series.
The Surprise Wedding – This book made me feel all kinds of emotions. I wanted to shake Devon and Olivia and say talk just really talk to each other quit assuming and really talk. A love story that began 10 years ago and didn’t stop. Love Blueberry Springs and it’s crazy and lovable characters. Great spin off series.
A Pinch of Commitment – A really romantic read with some heat. Ethan and Lily start off with a marriage of convenience but sparks fly really soon. Of course there is angst but I loved how it played out. My favorite in this series.
The Wedding Plan – A marriage that will help them both out but not one with love. I will be honest I do not like that he had dated and was intimate with her sister Olivia. These two had a romantic past but… will they fall and stay in love?

Veils and Vows Romance Collection 0-3 by Jean Oram. What an amazing series!
THE PROMISE and THE SURPRISE WEDDING is about Devon and Olivia, how they met, separated and meet again 10 years later…laughter, tears, helping each other to further their careers but can they find their HEA together?
PINCH OF COMMITMENT is about Ethan and Lily who were childhood friends. When Lily comes back to town she needs a protector from her ex and who steps up but her childhood friends, Ethan.
Fake marriage, help with his restaurant, rediscovered feelings are just a few things that happen in the cute red.
THE WEDDING PLAN is about Luke an Emma who we met in the The Surprise Wedding and hav a history they have kept a secret. Now both family companies are in jeopardy and Emma has a plan to rebuild both…if they can agree on the terms…for the Wedding Plan!!
I loved this boxset. Each story follows a couple and their journey to finding love. If you love well-written sweet romances with lovable characters that capture your heart then I’d recommend giving this a try.
The Promise is a prequel to Devon and Olivia’s story, The Surprise Wedding, which I think is my favorite.
I loved the small town of Blueberry Springs. All the eccentric, nosy and loving neighbors are wonderful. They look out for each other and are willing to lend a helping hand when needed ….or when they believe it’s needed. Hahaha
I really liked Devon. He is such a sweet, caring and good hearted man. Seeing that his town is in trouble Devon is willing to do whatever it takes to save it. Even if that means working together with his ex. She blew his heart to smithereens years ago and he’s still trying to recover. Doing what’s in the best interest for his town will be hard but he’s not willing to just give up and let the town fall to ruin.
Olivia is sweet, hardworking and determined. She’s on a mission to not only save her family’s company but make it better. Imagine her surprise when Devon is the one to present her with an opportunity to do just that. Their relationship had ended less than amicably and she always regretted it. With walls built high around her heart Olivia excepts Devon’s offer and travels to Blueberry Springs.
Things start to get crazy as protesters attack every chance they get. Trying to win over the hearts and minds of the people in Blueberry Springs and dispel the negative PR Olivia and Devon suddenly find themselves engaged.
Will this fake engagement end up destroying both their careers and leave them both still heartbroken…or will it help them to overcome the past? Allowing them to heal and mend the broken pieces. Will it rekindled the love they once had for each other?
This stories were interconnected in that Devon from the first two was Ethan from a Pinch of Commitment’s brother and Devon’s love interest Olivia was Emma from the last book’s sister. The prequel novella was about how Devon and Olivia met in college and why they separated until they met up again in the next book and became fake engaged to help him become mayor and her family secure rights for their natural cosmetic line. Ethan and Lily and Luke and Emma become fake married to help their businesses. I liked A Pinch of Commitment best because Ethan was a grumpy beast that had been hurt by his ex and his injuries and he pushes people away, but Lily is determined to break through his walls and gain his love. My least favorite of the collection was The Wedding Plan because Luke used to date Emma’s sister Olivia and even proposed to her after he had slept with Emma. He redeems himself in the story, but that wasn’t very hero-like behavior. Olivia and Devon have a second chance at love in The Surprise Wedding, but she still with Luke while pursing a romantic relationship with Devon. This was a nice small town romance collection with plenty of funny, romantic, and drama filled moments.
These books are wonderful, they bring you into the wonderful little town of Blueberry Springs. Whether you have read other books about the town or these are your first you will love the town and the people in it. You will not want to put these books down!

Four great stories set around small town Blueberry Springs, Colorado where you are welcomed and your neighbor is there for you. The stories are The Promise, The Surprise Wedding, A Pinch of Commitment, and The Wedding Plan. I recommend this set you will not be disappointed with it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I had originally read a few of these before, but it is so much nicer to have them in this convenient box set. I loved each of these stories. The first one was a prequel, I was glad the sequel immediately followed. I am not a big fan of cliffhangers. Each couple and storyline was unique and I would definitely recommend this book.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.
This has been such a fantastic series set in a little mountain town. Some stories are suspenseful and action-packed, but all are funny, romantic, and heart-rending. The characters are well done, as is the dialog.
This is Blueberry Springs, a small town with snowy mountains, where everyone knows about everyone and the scenario where we can follow stories of second chances, old friendships and passions that may become wonderful Happy Ever Afters! The first novella in this collection is a prequel to the next book: The Surprise Wedding, and it made a big difference in my empathy for the heartbroken main characters. In this series, we have a great opportunity to follow up with the main characters of each book and also with the picturesque residents of this charming city. Be aware of rollercoaster of feelings, from funny gossips, to business acumen dialogues, to danger and even crime. This series has it all and you will realize that even a torrent of fake but happy marriages can happen in the littlest and most charming towns!
Make Your Heart Smile
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a small, wonderful town. One where everyone knows everyone else and is always there to lend a hand or shoulder?
Well this is one of those towns!
Welcome to Blueberry Springs, Colorado the sweetest town ever.
Book 0, The Promise is the back story of Devon Mattson and Olivia Carrington. They were college lovers and proof that opposites can not only attract but they can sizzle. Unfortunately sometimes when something sizzles that hot it can be devastating when it crashes.
Devon is an adrenaline junkie loves his race cars, Olivia comes from a wealthy (snobbish) family. He isn’t someone who would be welcomed into her family with opened arms, but he isn’t someone she can forget either. They have a complicated life.
Their love story comes to a sad end, it takes many years for them to be reunited.
Now to book 1, The Surprise Wedding. The story of Devon and Olivia. Together again after 10 years, well fake together but yeah. They both need something that only working together can fix. Healing their souls and hearts together in the process.
Such a sweet loving couple.
Book 2 Pinch of Commitment another heartwarming story and a bit of a tear jerker at times. Ethan Mattson (Devon’s Brother) and Lilly Harper (Chef and childhood friend of the Mattson family).
Ethan and Lilly grew up in Blueberry Springs, he was always a hero in her young eyes. Well she needs a hero once again, who better than the hunk she remembers fondly, and Ethan needs Lilly just as much only he doesn’t realize it yet.
They both need to take control of their lives, together they form a plan on doing just that.
Okay now to Book 3, The Wedding Plan
Luke Cohen (Olivia’s former fiance`)and Emma Carrington (Olivia’s baby sister).
They have a history that no one knows about, a personal history. These two friends to lovers decide to join forces to protect his company and provide a financial future for her company. A secret wedding that no one will ever know about, yeah that should work out just fine right!
This is another of those heartstrings couples, as is every Blueberry Springs couple.
Curl up with a nice cuppa or whatever you like to drink, get comfy and settle in with this wonderful collection, you won’t be disappointed. If this town actually existed I would live there in a heartbeat!
Now off I go to re-read the entire series!
A great boxset full of marriages of convenience set in Blueberry Springs.
Promise:
Wow. People from two different backgrounds. First love. True love. Amazing characters and riveting storyline.
Surprise:
This was a wonderful marriage of convenience resolution for our characters from the Promise. There was a lot of underlying hurt to overcome along with hurdles to jump in the present. great characters and storyline.
Pinch:
I was super excited to get Ethan’s story. I loved the vibrant characters with their strong personalities and pasts filled with hurt that has led to mistrust. I liked seeing them work through their issues and overcome hurdles and find family.
Wedding Plan:
I loved getting Emma and Luke’s story. I loved their personalities and finding their inner selves away from the spotlights. I liked the emphasees on beauty, etc. and the nuggets of wisdom offered there.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Blueberry Springs is a magical place and this series sees some wonderful characters find their HEA. Staring with Olivia and Devon and their doomed college romance, moving on to Lily and Ethan and their fake marriage, and finishing with Emma and Luke with their business arrangement. These stories and the people in them are all connected but they can be read as stand alone stories. This collection of sweet romances have great storylines, are well written and will leave you wanting more of the wonderful town of Blueberry Springs.
A really great series. I’m enjoying reading about all the people of Blueberry Springs, a sweet little town where everybody helps each other. I loved all the characters and their stories and can’t wait to read more books in the series.
The Promise
This is a great start to a new series. It’s a prequel to Book 1, The Surprise Wedding, in the new Veils & Vows Series.
Olivia and Devon are from totally different backgrounds. They love each other but I never felt Olivia was fully committed. Her family never approved of Devon and when the opportunity arose, her father made sure to use the situation to his advantage. I hate people like that.
As always, Jean Oram has written a wonderful book with well-developed characters. It grabbed my attention from page one. While Olivia and Devon don’t get an HEA in this novella, I know they will in the next book. Jean never disappoints her readers. So, grab your copy today and find out what happened with Olivia and Devon when they were in college. You’ll love their story.
The Surprise Wedding
Devon and Olivia meet again 10 years after their college break-up. They need each other in order to further their careers. If Devon becomes Mayor, Olivia will get what she needs for her business venture. So, she helps Devon run for Mayor. Sounds simple right? Guess again. Nothing is simple when it comes to these two.
I laughed, cried, got angry…the whole gamut of emotions. But this isn’t an angsty book, it’s a sweet romance full of hope for the future. Full of love. All kinds of love, not just romance. That is one of the things I love about Jean Oram’s books–they showcase all kinds of love and are full of hope. A feel-good read.
A Pinch of Commitment
A Pinch of Commitment is a wonderful, sweet romance. Ethan and Lily will grab your heartstrings and pull. Hard. They are a dynamite couple who have a firm foundation for their love to blossom, grow, and withstand the storms of life. They deserve an HEA after what they have each endured.
Ethan was introduced in The Surprise Wedding as Devon’s brother. If you loved Devon, you will love Ethan. They share the same core values and when they love, it is with their entire being. If you haven’t read Devon’s story, what are you waiting for? It is an awesome 5-star story.
If you like stories that are well-written, with characters that are everyday people, and a top-notch story, look no further. A Pinch of Commitment is the book for you.
The Wedding Plan
I absolutely loved The Wedding Plan. It has drama, humor, and romance. When Emma and Luke agree to a business arrangement marriage, you know sparks are going to fly since they have already spent a couple of scorching hot nights together through the years.
When Luke was introduced earlier in the series, I thought he was a loser. I couldn’t find one redeeming quality. Well, now that he is no longer following in his dad’s footsteps, his true personality shines through. He has to learn how to relate to people on a personal level but he is sweet, funny, caring, very protective o Emma, romantic, and dedicated to helping Emma succeed.
Emma also gets a chance to shine in this story. She had come across as a pampered princess with a limited IQ. She is neither of those things. She has grit and determination, intelligence, compassion, a sense of humor, and knows how to relate to people.
I do wish their fathers had suffered more severe consequences for all they had done. They were reprehensible. That is just my opinion and doesn’t detract from the story.
If you love sweet romances with lovable characters that are well-written and hold your attention from page one, look no further. I highly recommend The Wedding Plan. I recommend the entire Veils and Vows series.
