HeathIt’s a classic story: Boy meets girl, girl breaks boy’s heart, boy pretends to be gay to get back at girl, girl outs boy to everyone on Facebook… pretend to be dating my gay best friend, Declan.
And when she outs me on Facebook and everyone I know sees it, there’s still only one option: keep pretending to be dating Declan.
And when Declan and I have to kiss to keep up the ruse and it turns out there’s actually a spark between us (more like a blazing inferno, if truth be told) there’s once again only one option…
Warning: this book is not appropriate for anyone who doesn’t like laughing, anyone who doesn’t like dogs, or anyone who doesn’t like hot men having a lot of sex…with each other.

Inevitable
If you’re looking for a book that will have you laughing and smiling so much it hurts, then look no further. Full of hilarious moments, witty comebacks and on-point verbal sparring this book had me from the beginning. Not to mention the smoking hot chemistry that Declan and Heath have together. Gah, I love these two and their “ship” name. I absolutely adore Heath’s grandfather and hope we get to see more stories featuring this fun and eclectic family. It’s inevitable that you’ll fall in love with this book.
Excellent romance
The story has a funny side with two friends who try to pretend to be gay and lovers in front of all their friends and family, following a joke to get rid of an ex who had cheated on Heath. The story is simple, very well written and has good characters who discover that ultimately their bond is more blurred than they had anticipated.
The story has some very hot scenes.

Heath & Declan are best friends. They have gotten closer recently and both are happy to have such a good friendship. Then they run into Heath’s ex-girlfriend. It’s awkward moment.
Declan is actually gay, so misunderstanding ensues. This is the perfect example of why you should never talk about someone else without their permission. The ex shares her idea of what happened on a social platform.
I thought this story was very well thought out. The pace moved along like a dream. I did not put it down, but read it straight through. It had really good humor, plot, and heat. The sexy times were HOT! I cannot wait to read the next installment in the Love & Luck series.

Fake It ’til You Make Out by Isla Olsen is the first book in the Love & Luck series. This is a fun, contemporary m/m romance where best friends pretend to be lovers… then realize it’s not pretend. Shocking since one always thought he was straight. Declan and Heath are fun, sweet and sexy. Love them together. And their families are great! Can not wait to read more of this series.
This was a really, really, really excellent love story between best friends. Heath and Declan have been best friends for ten years. Both have graduated from college where they met and were roommates. Declan is in his last year of vet school and Heath was a corporate star who quit and went to work with his sister at her bar. Things get interesting when Heath, who is straight, runs into his ex-girlfriend with Declan and tells her Declan is his boyfriend. From there we are treated to love, humor, family, diarrhea dogs, ex-girlfriends and boyfriends, wise brothers and grampas, beautiful love and sex, feelings of betrayal, and sexy swimsuits Can you beat it. Not really. I would highly recommend this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC book.
Fake it ’til You Make Out is book number one in the Love & Luck series by Isla Olsen. This is Heath and Declan’s story.
Heath and Declan are best friends and they end up in a fake relationship. These two guys really cared for one another. As they kept up the appearance of being in a relationship their feelings started changing to be more than friends. A friends to lovers romance that was sweet and funny. The characters felt a little immature to me but still enjoyed how they loved one another.

*Spoilers* What to do you do when ex girlfriend outs you on Facebook because she’s sees you with your best friend who happens to be a guy. This is the case for Heath and Declan. When Heath’s ex-girlfriend Allison outs him on Facebook these two decide what there next step should be which is should they continue what they have or say it was a misunderstanding. They continue of pretending to date which is a good thing because the chemistry between these two is off the charts. The thought having to continue fake dating when the feelings that they have for each other became real. The get there happy ever after with Heath proposing to Declan and them getting married. I truly loved reading this book.

This is a really brilliant and hilarious read that made be laugh. I really enjoyed how they never realised their chemistry until they decided to fake it. They do have to work through some miscommunication.
You know I’m a sucker for fake relationships. That too with best friends to lovers! I absolutely loved this book. It made me laugh throughout. Also I’m a huge Marvel nerd and they both are die-hard fans who name the shelter dogs after Marvel characters. Could it be any more perfect?
Heath is hilarious. I loved him. He made me laugh so much that I thought I was going to get caught during class.
There is some drama towards the end, obviously. I didn’t particularly like it but it was handled maturely and the author didn’t drag it out. Miscommunication is not really a favourite.
I love the whole Kelly family! They are a hoot! And Heath’s Grandpa is one of my favourite characters. Epilogue was adorable.
Highly recommend this if you are a fan of fake relationships, BFFs and looking for a low angst, fast read!
