Fabulous read…The blurb & previous reviewers have outlined the story in detail. I found it a tender friendship to love story with a few twists. The heroine was the star of this book, strong character, passionate about the people of her country & she tried to keep her love tethered in the friendship zone from the man who would become king. The hero wanted her to be his queen but she was the palace gardener alongside her parents & his parents did not approve of her having a relationship with their son. When her caring bravery in saving the people & helping to rebuild their homes went viral the people justifiably wanted her so to be their future queen, sigh! I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
A great well written short clean contemporary romance. This engaging storyline of friends to lovers have two wonderful characters from different social levels overcoming obstacles with unexpected twists and turns to an perfect HEA in the face of a stressful disaster. The characters are realistic, interesting, strong and have good chemistry. A great standalone addition to an entertaining must read series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.
A fun clean series, I love the prince characters.
I love this series but this book, I think, is my favorite. Arlo, Prince of Karpathos, grew up playing with the royal gardener’s daughter, Amara. This story picks up when they are back home from graduate school for summer break. Both Arlo and Amara have desires to improve the lives of their countrymen. Arlo is working to stamp out hunger while Amara is focusing on the everyday needs of her fellow Karpathosians, specifically through non-profit ventures. When a devastating hurricane hits the island, both will find and define their roles in Karpathos. Of course, there are obstacles for Arlo and Amara to overcome before finding their HEA ending. But find it they do!
Who hasn’t fantasized about being friends witha royal or someone super wealthy? You’d get to hang out with them, and maybe get invited to exotic places. *sigh* Back to Prince Arlo and Amara. They’ve been friends since they were kids, along with Amara’s sister Clara. But Amara and Clara aren’t royal, they’re the royal gardener’s daughters, which didn’t seem to mean anything to her when they were younger, but now … now it kind of bothers Amara and makes her feel a little less than since she wasn’t what you’d call princess material.
This story combines a couple of my favorite tropes–childhood friends to lovers and royals–so I enjoyed escaping for a few hours with Prince Arlo and Amara. I liked Arlo because he wasn’t a party-all-the-time kind of prince, he cared about his country and its people, and did volunteer work to find ways to help them. I loved that he stood up to his parents and chose Amara over one the princess his family wanted him to marry. Amara had a lot more going for her than that snooty princess.
This is part of a series where the characters appear in the other books but each storyline is a standalone.
Best Friends With a Royal Billionaire by Sophia Summers is a really sweet and clean quick read. I enjoyed the story of best friends loving each other and working to put separation and differences behind them. The ending was great and the story was fun.
I received a complimentary copy of the book. All opinions are my own and are expressed voluntarily.
I really enjoyed reading this book! It’s nice to get a little peek of how the royals live. I could see each side of the coin in this love story. I recommend this book to anyone who likes clean romance books!
Mingling with a bunch of royals on a yacht with a storm brewing sounds like the perfect way for Amara to spend her summer break, especially when Prince Arlo, her best friend, extends her a personal invitation.
I’ve always had a fascination with royals and I love reading a story about one who seems so normal. I kept picturing Harry and Meghan, although Arlo and Amara don’t resemble them at all in my mind. They just seem like that type of couple–very much into volunteering and service, kind, humble, down-to-earth, and definitely in the spotlight.
I enjoyed spending time with these characters and absolutely loved the setting. There were a few unexpected twists and turns that kept me entertained, but I would have loved for the story to be longer, adding more detail to a few parts.
I haven’t read the others in this series and felt that this one could stand alone. This easy, breezy romance was a delicious escape for a cold, wintry day!
Content: mild romance; mild moments of peril

I have enjoyed reading this series. Royal young people with the eyes of the press constantly on them, fun loving, yet well aware of the responsibilities they have to their countries. Sophia Summers story shows us the pressure of family and country expectations versus what they may want to do. Can a commoner, in this case the gardener’s daughter, fit into the life of royalty? One might think this came from the headlines of today. Arlo shows his true colors when faced with family disapproval and expectations.
