She’s everything I shouldn’t want. I capture her anyway. What humans hail an invasion we call Garrison Earth: a mission to save our species from extinction. But while my warriors will soon have the stomachs of their new mates swell with daughters, I know this planet holds nothing for me.Until a fierce, red-haired female points her gun with her eyes blazing fire, and I know I have found my mate. A … I know I have found my mate. A bullet and a tranquilizer pad later, I carry her in my arms.
Against my better judgment.
But who argues fate?
With a mission at the brink of failure, I have no time to wait around until Eden is willing to bond. I took her freedom. Might have taken her family. Taking her body is my obligation.
I am a male without conscience. Incapable of love. No one has ever pierced my cold heart.
No one ever will.
Not even her.
Captured is the first book in this interconnected romance series, bringing you an alien invasion in its most authentic way. If you enjoy strong women, devoted aliens, fated mates, and hard-earned happily ever after’s with no insta-love, Stockholm syndrome, or cliffhangers, you’ll love Garrison Earth.
Author Note: The entire Garrison Earth series touches on subjects such as captivity, drug abuse, forced prostitution, loss of loved ones, human trafficking, rough handling, and violence. Any reader uncomfortable with the harsh realities of an alien invasion should please consider before purchase.

Well worth reading!
This book has a really good story line and interesting characters who are relatable. I think it is well written and I did not see any typos. FYI: There were some graphic sex scenes. I am anxious to see what will happen next. This is a good book and I would recommend it.

It was the characters in the story that captured my attention.

Earth had been invaded, the Vetisians, they rounded up the inhabitants and killed all those who resisted. Eden was a survivor, a nurse hiding to evade capture, then she was taken as well. Commander Torin and seen her run, he could have sent one of his men after her but he didn’t, catching her was easy but she was determined to resist, she was different and something in him accepted it. She was processed but she would not submit, when her DNA processed it came back with a match for him. She would bear his young and a need to make her his rose inside him. This is the first book by this author I have read but will not be the last. I found this story imaginative and absorbing, the storyline captured my attention but it was the characters that drew me in with their dialogue and actions.

This is an amazing story. Earth is invaded by Vetusian’s that are looking for mates to carry their children or their race will die out. They match the DNA of the women to the Vetursian’s. Really great storyline with very interesting characters. This has plenty of steam. Highly recommended. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This novel was very well written and edited, with no typos I could detect and masterfully written, beautiful sentences. This novel had a very exciting plot and masterful world building that kept me turning the pages. I could not wait to find out what was going to happen next! The characterization and development of the romantic relationship between the hero and heroine was also incredibly well done. I have so much respect for the author for putting that disastrous first intimate scene in between the hero and heroine. That fact that the author was able to get me to buy into and believe these two protagonists Happy Ever After at the end of the novel after their disastrous beginning, and make me fall in love with this hero after the terrible things he pulled, just shows how masterful of a writer she is, and how familiar she is with the exact right emotional notes to hit at the exact right times to write a fully convincing romance novel. The sci-fi elements were deftly drawn without having a heavy hand, and I cannot wait to read the next novel in this series! This is a new to me author, and I will be looking up her backlist, for sure. I will be buying myself a keeper copy of this sci-fi romance which contains the Fated Mates trope and the Mars Needs Women trope, which happen to be two of my favorite tropes. The stakes in this novel are sky-high, which maintains the excitement of the plot, and the angst in this novel is medium-high to high, but it is not irritating because the stakes faced by these characters are so high and cause or contribute to much of the angst. The world building and plot of this novel rates five stars, and the characterization and development of the romantic relationship between these two characters also rates five stars. This novel ends on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus to this series if the author continues that pattern. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves romance novels with adventure or suspense elements, even if you don’t usually read sci-fi romance. This novel is just that good.

Well written, engaging, inventive. I loved it. Eden is strong, resilient, and intelligent. There is no fake automatic love at first sight for her. She must be convinced and her mate has to work and change and become new to do it. Her change in attitude is not forced, in fact she fights it, but as the world she knows has changed, she must learn to accept. Eden felt like a real person and I love that. Although this is sci fy, I never once had to roll my eyes toward her behavior. She responded as a strong, intelligent woman would. He acted as an alien that believes in fate and feels the pull of fate, but she responded as a captured woman not automatically attracted to her captor, in fact repulsed by him. I appreciated the reality of that and enjoyed the book so much more for it. Can’t wait to read more from Garrison Earth.

Where is the next book? 5 stars – Great world building. Torin’s character is complex. The plot is robust. Fascinating story that completely holds your focus and was hard to put down. Word of advice – don’t start this book unless you are prepared to be up till 3 in the morning reading. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
Eden must get the Vetusians to see the value of each child, whether perfect or not.
Torin, the Commander of a ship housing millions of Vetusians and human captives. The same person who captured her and has been deemed her mate. The man she has to have a baby with before she can have her freedom. He is remote, unfeeling and rough. But as Eden learns more about him and his upbringing or lack thereof, she starts to feel sorry for him and the babies created similar to how he was created, in incubators with no maternal love or warmth. But can he ever feel anything for her? Eden will have an uphill battle getting Torin and the Vetusians to understand humans and their love and sense of family. Earth has been invaded by the Vetusians. They need women to carry their children or their race will die. Women are DNA matched to their Vetusian. Torin is the commander of his people. Eden is a human who refuses to become a mate. They are matched and they come to an understanding.
The author wrote an amazing story. I could feel the hate Eden had for the Vestusians. I understood her heartache when she refused to love Torin. But that love won her over. There is a HEA and I’m looking forward to more books from the author.
