Grabs You From The Beginning!
Wow the intro into this sets the tone for the whole book. The narrator’s ability to capture an eerily haunting cadence sends goosebumps and chills down your spine. I was spellbound and scared stiff all at once! The Girl Who Went Nowhere is a wicked thriller that sets itself apart from the rest! I was gifted this ARC Audiobook but these thoughts expressed are my own. I highly recommend this book and it’s Author Marc Daniel and the narrator Robert Brinkman as well.
First time reading anything from Marc Daniel and WOW, The Girl Who Went Nowhere had me hooked!! You have to just fall in love with the main characters Ethan and Jennifer. So many twists and an ending I did not see coming at all. I truly hope that the author brings these two back for another book or two.

I received this book free as an Arc copy, and all that was asked in return was an honest review. Wow this was an incredible book it had me glued to my seat, and I could not wait to get back to it to continue reading it anytime I was called away from it. It was action packed twisting turns, and roller coaster ride with all the thrills, without having to leave my home. I had no clue where this book was heading which is kind of unusual so the ending took me completely by surprise. Which was the one thing I really didn’t like about the book was the ending it kind of left me feeling like it was a cliffhanger. I want to know where Jennifer and Ethan went after the ending. That is as much as I can say to prevent spoilers. Hopefully it was designed that way for the next book to come along in the series, and I really hope there is another book in the works to come out and make this a series. Now down to the basics heat scale was a zero, and violence was moderate. World-building is exceptionally well done, and very descriptive just incredible. Characters were very well developed you came to care about these characters as if they were members of your family or friends, and both the storyline and plot line were intricate and well-thought-out. The storyline follows a man who worked for the FBI on a case involving a serial killer who completely destroys the man’s life. He is starting to get his life back together when the serial killer enters his life again. Which is when the plot begins to thicken. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries, thrillers, action-packed stories, and who- done-it’s. I cannot say enough about this book how well it was written or about how much I enjoyed it. Marc has a way with storytelling. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by this author and the other books I’ve read were just as excellent as this one, and he pulls out all stops and does not disappoint.
This book was phenomenal! Kept me on the edge of my seat, full of action and I NEVER guessed who the real killer could be! It starts off with a nine-year-old girl disappearing into the Montana evening during Winter. The characters took on a life of their own! Jennifer and Ethan work as boss and assistant at his P.I. practice. His wife was murdered one year earlier and the killer was caught and killed in prison. Only, one year later, he received a video of the whole time they had her…and there was more than one! Now, Ethan had to discover who the other party was! He is also hired by an attorney to discover the blackmailer of her family. That leads into putting himself and his assistant, Jennifer in danger! Now, they are stuck in Montana at the woman’s family cabin with other family members and killers on the prowl~ Who is it? What do they want? How does it all tie in together? Trust me, you do not want to miss this exciting journey…I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
A nine year old girl goes missing. She walks out of her home in the Montana cold never to be seen again. Twenty years later her Uncle is murdered coinciding with the discovery of a cave with the remains of children. Criminal profiler Ethan Archer is given the case but is reluctant to be involved until circumstances force his hand.
This a suspenseful psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The characters are expertly crafted and draw you into the story, engaging you until the end. This was a wonderful exciting thriller that is full of twists, surprising turns and suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat right until the very end. This is a wonderfully written book with a great narrative, excellent dialogue with a storyline that flows smoothly and is filled with action, thrills and chills. It is a fantastic book, that is definitely worth the read.

This is the first work I’ve read by this author. The story description grabbed my attention and since I love a good mystery and suspense story, I thought I’d read and review it. Needless to say I was not disappointed. The story lived up to it’s description and then some. The characters are well developed and the story line has plenty of suspense to keep you turning the pages. Once you start reading, you’ll find it hard to put it down until you finish it.

This is my first time reading anything by this author. The blurb caught my attention and the book lived up to it. I like the author’s writing style and loved how there was a nice steady pace throughout the book and quite a bit of suspense. The characters have a good amount of depth to them. I found this book to be difficult to put down once I had started reading it.

This is an interesting change from Daniel’s fantasy fiction novels. The Girl Who Went Nowhere is a fascinating read in the murder mystery/serial killer genre that leaves you satisfied by the outcome but still asking what’s next. The story keeps you guessing as it is full of red herrings to throw you off your game while leaking enough clues to have you ever wondering and wanting to know more. As like many books involving serial killers, the subject matter is quite intense particularly since children are involved. However, unlike other novels in this genre, I was not left mortified or with a bad taste in my mouth. Daniels does a good job tying story lines together, validating character choices, and creating a sense of justice being served in the end. TG2WN is a fun read that is hard to put down.

A fallen idol who was once a media darling survives the destruction of his world. Mostly stagnant, he works barely enough to keep going taking cases he hates until something new falls in his lap and shakes things up.
Can justice be found in a world of sex trafficking, child raping privileged men?
Dark adventure that pushes notions of justice to its limits then pushes beyond that.

I am not normally a reader of thrillers. I only got this because of the author’s noir urban fantasy series (which are seriously good). This vigilante-based mystery has enough twists and hints to hold any lover of hard-boiled detective thrillers enthralled for hours. It was hard to put this book down, and I can only echo Agent Hansen: “How did you do that?”

The Girl Who Went Nowhere is a must-read!
Can criminal profiler Ethan Archer find the killer before there are more murders? This thriller is a real page-turner, well written and engaging, with a twenty-year-old missing child case, murder, mystery, a serial killer, deception, blackmail, twists and turns, suspense, and a shocking ending.
I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
This book starts with with a scared little girl running into the woods and encountering a frightening beast. She had totally disappeared after that time, and was presumed dead. Fast forward to the present and we encounter Ethan Archer, a has-been private investigator who avenges women who have been mistreated and raped by men. He is hired as an investigator by Gwendoline Thomas, whose family business has been targeted by a blackmailer. This begins his journey to a cabin in Montana where members of the wealthy Woodrough family are murdered one by one. Woven in the book are several other plot lines, such as a sadistic serial killer, formerly know as the Cowboy, but now as Casanova. As the story progresses, the serial killer and the Woodrough clan begin to converge upon each other. This book is suspenseful and terrifying, and the book concludes in a very unexpected manner. I was hooked on the story and had trouble putting it down. This book would make a great movie. I highly recommend it to all fans of suspense and mystery. I obtained this advance readers copy through Booksprout.
