Meiling — All I’ve ever known is pain. My life has been far from a fairy tale. No parents. No friends. Just an endless nightmare that I can’t wake from. Until the day a man offered me his hand and promised to keep me safe. I’ve never trusted anyone before, but there’s something about him. Maybe it’s insane, but I know he won’t hurt me, and when he puts his arms around me, for the first time in … in my life I feel loved.
Dingo — I’ve always had a soft spot for women and kids in trouble. One look at Meiling, and I knew I had to protect her at any cost. The beautiful girl with the wounded soul. After all she’s suffered, all I want is to make her smile, make her feel secure, and give her a chance to find happiness. But first, I need to take out the men and women responsible for hurting her. It might get ugly, and messy, but they don’t call me Dingo for nothing. I’m a crazy bastard, and I won’t stop until she’s safe. I just didn’t count on falling for her along the way.
Publishers warning: Meiling’s past isn’t pretty. Dingo and Meiling’s story deals with issues of human trafficking, bureaucratic corruption, and vigilante justice. This book contains darker themes that may trigger some readers.

As I’m sitting here contemplating on how to word this review is very hard and difficult. First off I will say Dingo is dark, I repeat dark, if you’re not the type to read a dark book than I suggest you don’t. I actually cried when I was reading it, Mei went though a lot of bad stuff but she had the strength to continue moving forward and be happy. Dingo treats her like a queen and not once did he waver from his feeling for Mei. This book was well written and characters are on point through out the end of the book. This is a 5 star and a definite recommendation from me.
Harley has once again woven a story that makes you feel alongside her character. The story has dark elements that can set triggers but that aside it is a story that will have your emotions all over the place. Meiling has lived through some horrific and traumatic experiences. She connects with Dingo who comes along and becomes her hero in addition to being the man who gets her to see she is worth being loved and cherished. This story will have you cheering for Meiling to finally find happiness.
I LOVED IT!
I was consumed by this book from the first page. The content is very dark and disturbing and it ripped my heart out thinking of the truth behind the story and I was bawling. I worked in a jail for 16 years so I’ve seen this type of thing first hand. I could feel the heartache and the anger coming off the pages. This book is a very emotional read but the more I read I could tell some good was gonna come around. Dingo is a big bad@ss dirty talkin alpha and he has a giant heart. When it comes to women and children the Devil’s Fury MC Brotherhood will stop at nothing to keep them safe and protected. Meiling’s story is absolutely heart wrenching but behind it all she has found a way to survive. Her strength is unbreakable. As things begin to be revealed it left me crying and cheering. I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend this book to everyone
Dingo and Mei were so amazing together! We met Dingo back in Havoc (and while you dont need to have read Havoc of the Devils Boneyard books to understand what’s going I recommend you go read them at some point because they are amazing)
Mei has had a rough life so far and ends up at the Devils Fury clubhouse. Dingo sees her and is instantly drawn to protect her and that’s something Mei really needs. Their story is so incredibly sweet seeing the alpha biker handling Mei so gently is heartwarming.
This is a heartbreaking, sad, raw, and captivating story. It was not all sunshine and roses but it was definitely a beautiful road to redemption for Mei and Dingo. I love how the men of Devil’s Fury are rough around the edges but underneath that gruff exterior is a tender hearted man who will protect the people he loves. I absolutely enjoyed every single moment of this book.
Wow! Dingo and Meiling’s story starts out a little rough, not gonna lie. Meiling has been dealt a crap hand for as long as she can remember. It is so bad, my heart hurt for her. As always, Ms Wylde handles it deftly, which isn’t easy. From the beginning, Dingo completely stole my heart! He is so sweet from the get-go to her, I just adore him. Phenomenal story, awesome characters, what more could you want. So much love, all the stars for Dingo and Meiling!
AM-FREAKIN-AZING! Honestly I wasn’t sure about this as it is a little darker than normal. but it was sooo very awesome. I refuse to give spoilers, but I can say that it actually made me tear up. made my heart pound with excitement and was a truly wonderful read! got sucked in at the start and it didn’t let me go. not even to go to the bathroom!!
Might be the best book yet!
Harley Wylde makes you feel the hero and heroine’s emotions in every book. The subject matter in this book is something that happens in our country and around the world. I remember meeting Dingo in Havoc and Jordan’s book but him meeting Meiling and wanting to keep her safe and protected melted my heart. When one of our favorite author’s touches on these subjects it reminds us that not everyone lives a charmed life and bad things happen to good people. If haven’t read Harley Wylde pick up Venom today and come on this journey with us of the Dixie Reapers, Devil’s Boneyard, Haydes Abyss & Devil’s Fury where the heros are total badass alphas and the heroines are brave, strong-willed and basass each in their own way.
Where to begin? Oh my goodness!! What a story! Wow! Ugh! Wow—some more, and Ugh some more! This isn’t like the previous Harley MC books. Sure, there were dark parts in other biker stories; but nothing quite like this story.
Jordan, Havoc’s old lady, has an older brother Jameson who is now a patched member of Devil’s Fury. His patch name is Dingo and we’re finally getting his story after all these years (or whatever in biker years). Anyways, we’re introduced to Meiling (or “Mei” as she likes to be called) after the Prospect Beau finds her again at the Ruby Slipper. To say that Mei’s life has been difficult and brutal, is a complete understatement. Heartbreaking and disgusted doesn’t even come close to explaining what she’s been through—Beau too. Beau and Mei were in the foster care system at the same time and unfortunately, shared the same foster “parents” (yes, we’re using that word extremely loosely here).
Dingo, our hero, “claims” Meiling after he was “encouraged” (okay, they volunteered him) to make Mei his old lady. The emotional rollercoaster that both of these characters endure because of Meiling’s experience is gut wrenching. The reader will go through the process with both of them. Also, we’ll get to see some favorites from Badger’s book. You’ll be introduced to the rest of Devil’s Fury. Like the Dixie Reapers and Devil’s Boneyard, there’s more to these bikers than meets the eye.
If you’re easily triggered, this book might not be for you. However, you were warned before purchasing and opening the book. There are uncomfortable topics that are dealt with in this book, but don’t think for a second it’s not occurring in the real world. Unfortunately, there are many Meiling and Beau’s in the world going through the same suffering and worse. Fantastic read! I can’t recommend it enough to readers, but you’ve been warned.
I received an ARC to review and leave my honest opinion about the book. I enjoyed this book so much that I also intend to purchase it when released.
