Cupid needs to be shot with one of his own arrows.Chelsea hates Valentine’s Day. She hates the pink and red hearts hung all over town, the kissy faces everyone makes, and the cringe-worthy cards. The one thing she actually loved, her dog Princess, is happy in a new home, and Chelsea has no one to celebrate with. Not that she would. The whole holiday is a marketing ploy to get people to spend … people to spend money.
Tennyson Barber is happy. He’s got a brand new medical practice and the company of beautiful women whenever he wants it. Why then, is his inner daddy so fascinated with Chelsea Grant? She’s coming off a bad marriage and has a whole mess of problems he should avoid. Tennyson is nobody’s knight in shining armor, but he wants to slay Chelsea’s dragons anyway.

Grab a huge drink, disconnect your brain and relax back and just enjoy the fun and spicy ride this book offers. I enjoyed the very faint edge of paranormal aspect to the story – a few rather interesting Guardian angels had small parts to play in the story – but overall I found this contemporary romance to be fun and rather naughty in a very good way.
Tennyson is trying hard to get his medical business up and running, and while Chelsea has caught his eye, he’s not interested in dating anyone local in case things turn sour and his enjoyment of bedroom games became public knowledge. Chelsea isn’t looking for an intimate partner either, with her ex-husband cleaning her out and discovering a few days later that she’s pregnant. Chelsea is broke and struggling to find work, a lot more interested in putting food on her table than running around dating the new guy. But fate – and a determined Guardian Angel – shows then both just how well suited they are in every way.
I was really pleased the author gave quite a bit of the background and character details in the start of the story. I can see it would have been easy to just have Chelsea and Tennyson bump into each other and fall into insta-lust, but I really feel the story is stronger and more believable for the slower pace in the beginning. While I felt the BDSM elements to the story could have been a little more subtly woven into the start, I found this aspect to the story both tasteful and not too over the top.
My favourite part of the story was hands down the interactions of the characters and the lovely feeling of a small town that permutated through the story. While there was quite the hint of kink that I found surprising at times overall these were interesting, fairly normal people I could relate to and feel believable. Tennyson and Chelsea’s romance also was logical and captured my interest from the start. All the characters – but Tennyson and Chelsea in particular – were well written, layered and for me, personally, really made this story exceptional.
With a deliciously slow pace, exceptional characters that I adored and some really steamy BDSM sex this was a great read and a story I know I’ll enjoy again in the future.
I liked that this author continued her daddy series for Valentine’s Day also. At the beginning when the guardian angels made their appearance it made for some laugh out loud moments. Chelsea is divorced, broke and pregnant but it is all looking up because her ex was verbally and emotionally abusive so she is better away from him. She literally runs into Tennyson avoiding the “avalanche” and sparks fly from there. Tennyson is the new Dominant doctor in town and he isn’t looking for a little girl but when Chelsea falls right into his lap he’s all about exploring the dynamics with her. Cute, sweet and quick read and I can’t wait for more from this author!!
A sweet novella just in time for Valentine. It takes place in the same world as Jennifer’s Christmas Daddy, but you can read it as a standalone.
It is a small town romance with a dash of magic, but mostly it is a sweet story about two people finding love. I enjoyed the interaction between Tennyson and Chelsea. It made me laugh and go aaw.
I would love it is this story was expanded to a full length novel. There is a lot happening in such a short novella.
I’m not generally into this genre of romance, but I wanted to give it a shot anyway. I’m guessing if I read the other book I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews I would probably have a better understanding of the story. The guardian angel thing kinda threw me off, like is this PNR? Or what? Plus the story summary didn’t really match the actual story. Before I even started it seemed like the H was going to get involved with a married woman, and that was not the case at all.
So, Chelsea is having a rough time since her divorce and Tennyson is just the man to come in on his white horse to save her. One thing I don’t understand is that if she is so talented, why the heck is she living in squalor and not making a career of her talents? I’m in the minority on this it seems since once the Daddy/ little girl stuff started I just tuned out. If you’re into that, then you will love this story.
This novella is an outtake of Jennifers christmas daddie but it can be read as a standalone. I love the way Raisa Greywood let her characters take care of their women. Tennyson never dreamt about a girl who he can have a relationship with and who is submissive..He loves to be Chelseas Daddy. And Chelsea is poor after her ex-husband left her with nothing.
This book isnt much about erotic more about feelings for each other. Comfort and Insta – love. As a witch said *smile
I loved that the angels also play a litte side role in this book. They let love happen. The scene at the end about gabriel is freaking funny, i would love a novel about them too. hihi.
Cute adoring nice read.
A special thing for Valentines day you wont miss.
I loved this cute, sweet, fun story with a little magic thrown in! I loved Chelsea and Tennyson! They were made for each other! There is some drama caused by Chelsea’s ex, but their love will get them through it. Although this is the first book by Raisa that I’ve read, it won’t be the last! I highly recommend this book to everyone!
