She declines his offer since she just met him and the awards ceremony and party are on Valentine’s Day.
Bernadette changes her mind and contacts Lance to see if he is still willing to be her date. Lance jumps at the chance to see her again. He is sure that he knows how to make Bernadette his forever so that he can have the family he’s always wanted.
I really liked a lot of things about this book. I do wish that it was longer. An epilogue a little in the future would have been nice. How did Grandma take to Bernadette? How did the cooking lesson go? Was the lasagna edible? These are all things I would have liked to know and that’s why I lowered the rating to 4 stars. However, it was a fun short holiday read and is quite enjoyable. The happy ever after is implied. I recommend reading this book.

Finding love when delivering wayward letters over a half century late
OOH! Cupid is the first book I have read by Lana Love and I really enjoyed this sweet and dirty short story. It is the story of Bernadette who had inherited her grandmothers house and moved to town to live there and got a job as a copy writer for an ad agency. Her grandmother had a quirk in that if she got mail from an address that she did not recognize, or bills, she would put it in a drawer. Then when the drawer was full she would put them in a box and the box then went into the attic. So Bernadette has been going through all of the boxes and came across a number of letters from fifty or sixty years ago. They are for an address that is also in town so she goes to the house in hopes of being able to reunite the letters with the person they are written to. The door is opened by a huge hunk of a man who quickly invites her inside, as his oven timer is going off. They then invites her into the kitchen and to stay for dinner. What he serves up is inedible but the wine is good and they have a nice conversation. It turns out the letters are addressed to his grandmother, who he is house sitting for, by his grandfather during the war.
Luke Clayton is forty years old and has recently retired from the Army. He is not sure what to do with himself yet but her knows he wants a wife and family if he can find out, as they would help ground him and give him a purpose. When he opens the door and find the beautiful and curvy young woman who knocked standing there he is mesmerized and he quickly realizes he is sunk.
Jump a few steps forward and Bernadette is in need of a Valentine’s date to her company’s awards dinner where she is up for a prize. She phones Luke and he immediately says he will accompany her. Let’s just say this cuts a very dashing and sexy figure in a dark suit that fits him very well. That night he is not going to play for long as he knows she wants to make Bernadette his and never let her go.
I really liked this nicely written book with an interesting story-line and a couple wonderful characters. Plus Luke’s grandmother is funny and very much a straight shooter. I will be reading more by this author in the future.
Bernadette meets Lance when she is delivering old letters she finds in her grandparents house. The letters belong to Lance’s grandmother. He is house sitting for her. I loved this book so much. Lana Love is definitely one of my go to authors. You always know what to expect from her. Curvy girls and guys who love them. I highly recommend this book.

3.5 stars Bernadette found letters her grandmother was supposed to return to sender or sent to the correct address or sent to the correct house. She takes the letters and finds Lance in the middle of cooking. He invites her in in order to not burn the food and she stays for dinner. And she’s correcting her grandmothers mistake, she’s also making a future. For the short story sometimes a paper and pen works better than texting and emails. No cliffhanger

This is a very short sweet older man younger woman romance. There is very little drama and an instant attraction

Cute and simple
Very short romance, well written, simple and quite predictable. The characters are rather cute, friendly but they both seem a bit too flawless, at the exception of Lance’s cooking’s talent from.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This is my first from Ms Lana Love. I found it to be a quick and short romance. I just loved the chemistry between Lance Clayton and Bernadette Higgins and how it all began with some lost letters. I loved it!! I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
